The beds and bedding were fabulous! It needed some updating and breakfast. The staff was very friendly, helpful and the beds were fabulous. The pool would have been great if the weather would have permitted. I would stay there again in the future.

single male: clean and all around a nice place. 4/22-4/24 2009 would returne.

No restroom for guests checking in. Five year old son had to go!!!!!!! Going to our ground level room , parking lot littered! Going in our first room weird smell! Bathroom had hair on the floor and door the rest of the room appeared to have not been vacummed. Got moved to another room on second floor and had to step over trash and cigarette buts at stairway that remained there throughout our stay. When A/C was turned on dust blew out from filter being nasty. The bed was OK but after the other nastiness it was hard to get comfortable. There were no other vacancies in Durango at this time and we had to be there.

Great bed. No computer hookup in the room; lobby computer iffy. Very comfortable bed! The staff was friendly, but forgot our 3rd night reservation request-didn't clean the room until we asked-fortunately they could accommodate us, and even dropped the price. Request a room at the back-very quiet.

From the cobwebs in the windows, to the dust bunnies on the lamp, to the black mold surrounding the bath tub, to the mold rings on the bathroom ceiling, to the paper thin bedspreads, to the yellowed bath mat, to the early 80's wallpaper, to the nasty dirty stairs, to the remants in the toilet, to the door without any weather stripping, to the chucks of dirt blowing out of the dusty dirty air conditioner/heater, to the dirt smeared doors and wall, to the stained carpet, to the misty mirrors.....there are just TOO many other places to stay for the money. Wonder if this place has ever seen a bottle of Windex or Comet. Not worth the effort I put into trying to not touch anything. Two stars would be an overstatement. The desk staff was friendly at least.

The complementary breakfast was very good, and the desk clerks were very good about recommending places of interest for us. The cleaning crew did not vacuum our room the whole time we were there. It was in a good location, not a lot of traffic like the other end of town. People were very nice and I would recommend this hotel to others. Plenty of space in the rooms. Not crowded like some other places we have stayed at. Just that the cleaning crew needs to vacuum the rooms when they come in to change linens. Other wise it was very nice.

Bed was uncomfortable, no clothes hangers, outlets for computer etc. VERY limited, breakfast was minimal.Couple traveling with us (Brother/sister-in-law), same age, same AAA, larger room, paid LESS for their room. No manager and no adjustment. Will not book there again.

Very clean, nice, by a very busy street. No sound in room. Bedwas temper I didn't really like it compared to a normal bed. I would recommend this hotel if you like temper beds and would like a clean place to saymicrowave and refridge included easy access to all areas. However very busy street - no sound in room.

Stairway was filthy. Hallway to Non-smoking room reeked of smoke. Bathroom was full of mold -everywhere. Carpets filthy.Upon checkout would not honor reservation rate (wanted * vs * - came down to *) - will fight through credit card company

When the hair dryer quit a new arrived in less than 10 minutes. Bathroom needs updating - old tile in shower.

Clean and roomy, good location. One employee the night we checked in was rude. Overall a nice place to stay. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very nice.

Clean, easy to find. Terrible mattress. Room underground and end of hall; not safe from fire. Staff friendly, good location, clean. The mattress was the worst I have ever slept on. I also did not feel safe in case of fire. I was at the end of a hallway, underground, with only one exit. I would not stay again.

"I am a refering travel agent, with Escape With Us Travel and this hotel was wonderful. The manager was very pleasent, the grounds were clean, and my room was great."

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Everything was fine. Quite nice for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Located on north end of town - away from downtown tourist madness. Hot tub was too hot - basement room with torn up lampshade. We were given a basement room down a long hallway with only 1 fire exit (down the long hallway). Our room had an old torn up lampshade 9from too hot of a light bulb. The smell was a bit musty in the room. In addition, the hot tub was excessively hot - so we could only stay a few minutes rather than a whole 10 minute cycle.

Front desk staff friendly. Bad breakfast, unclean rooms. Very dissatisfied with this hotel. Rooms were unclean and not cleaned well during our stay. Continental breakfast was as "bare bones" as it gets. Housekeeping staff was slovenly and crude.
Date of Stay:

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast did not have a lot of variety. Very nice moderate hotel that met the needs of our trip to Durango Co.

Great sauna and hot tub. Not enough variety in the breakfast offerings. The staff was excellent and so very helpful. This is a nice property, but it shows its age.
