Both of our previous stays at this hotel were during renovations and we were located on the second floor in a much larger room. This time we were assigned to room number 134 next to the first floor office, storage areas, and barber shop which overlooked the main entrance parking lot. Exhaust fumes from the cars immediately outside of our window were mixed with the stares of people looking directly into the room at eye level. The musty smell could only be relieved with a noisy air conditioner or an opened window which had no screen. The carpet was original and my wife placed a towel in front of the sink when she stepped out of the shower. Her moist feet left blacked foot prints on the bottom of the towel which absorbed dirt/grime buried within the carpet fabric. The room itself was so narrow that we had to take turns walking around the foot of the bed.

We stayed for 2 nights and the room smells and the hallway is noisy. We could not sleep and even after the lady at the desk talk to those guys making noise, THEY DID NOT LISTEN. We can't walk at night because the location is HORRIBLE...SPEND a little bit more money STAY OUT OF THIS HOTEL !!!

The hotel said there was no ac in the room and gave it to me for */night. The room was so smalll that I had to set my luggage up against the wall so I could pass. The so-called high speed internet averaged about 40 sec to one minute between screens. There was no continental breakfast. The hotel diner served breakfast and lunch until 1 pm, The service was slow slow slow though the coffee mug was big. The price wasn't right either. The staff failed to provide the promised fan for the room. The TV remote was not programmed for the TV. I had to do it by hand. The hotel had a BMX competition contingency which explained why it was full. Soccer moms with their broods and bikes infested the hallways, bikes and all. The staff could care less. Moms and dads were outside in the parking lot drinking booze. The staff could care less. This is where the garbage goes. Don't believe the five star baloney. It;s one of those low class clowns. Oh, don't park in the underground. There is a pub on site and the garage is not secure. Park on top is what they advise. Nice hotel,eh? Find another place,

The room was clean and comfortable. The refrigerator proved to be quite useful. Staff was friendly and settled the one issue that came up. The food at the dining room and pub was tasty.

Access to downtown - on bus line. Nothing I didn't like. I would recommend staying there again. It was convenient to downtown, had a couple of restaurants and a liquor store that were within walking distance.

Please do not bring you car to this HOTEL because somebody broke into our car and it seems to me that nobody cares. Finally a gentlemen at the desk came out and help us clear the broken glasses. the room is FILTHY stain on chair, and the location we heard is the worst part of town. The manager at the desk is so rude whenwe ask him about the Wifi connection and we could not believe that the night before that gentlemen that we are talking to is the MANAGER..rude..rude beyond belief CANCEL....CANCEL..your reservation if you canand with a couple more dollars stay downtown !!!!!

The staff was extremely friendly. Our stay went smoothly. Our pet was welcomed and enjoyed his stay as well. I liked the bathroom location separate from the vanity. The garage parking was untidy. In addition we witnessed many employees smoking in the garage. We were pleased to find a hotel at such short notice but would have preferred a hotel within walking from the tourist activities and shopping. The hotel restaurant served cold food at our breakfast. The service was slow. Our waitress claimed that her boss had to get ingredients at the store and had not returned yet. We chose to eat there only once.

Friendly staff-nice room-good restaurant-very clean. We liked everything. Very friendly and accommodating staff. room was very clean, comfortable, and had a refrigerator. The restaurant had a good breakfast as well as dinner menu. We also liked the pub downstairs as well as the liquor store. Good location, too. Will be happy to stay there again.

i've stayed in this hotel with sports teams and it's great for that. but, if you're looking for a nice stay, then go elsewhere. this hotel is a bit on the outskirts of downtown and just not the best. it has a liquor store and a pub which is great for convenience but attracts not the best of patrons. it can be quite loud. however, on the positive, the rooms are clean and the staff are generally nice. if you get it cheap then great.

Although rooms were clean and quiet, the exercise room was minimal and there were few amenities.

Good value for the money for a two room suite. The windows were dirty and very old. The hotel is in a good location and the staff is very friendly. You will need to have a car to get to Downtown Victoria. The hotel is older and in need of renovations. The windows are very dirty and old. No continental breakfast but the room had a kitchen with all the utensils so if you have small children this is an excellent way to go. They can have a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk in the morning and watch TV in the front room. The Ritz this is not but for a budget hotel and it is right on the money.

when we first arrived, our room on first glance looked clean, but later we found huge hairballs, toenail clippings on the carpet, a half of a dog biscuit on top of the bedspread and something crusty on the fleece blanket between the sheet and the bedspread. Asked for blankets to be changed, which was taken care of, and the room was vacuumed, but this should not have happened in the first place.
