I was in Vancouver for three days and needed a place from which I could take a bus anywhere. This was it and it was very convenient. Staff was nice, rooms are clean if a bit small. The hotel is nothing special really but if you're looking for a comfortable, convenient place to sleep and keep your belongings then this will suffice. Don't expect to be hanging out at the hotel and having the time of your life; it just isn't that kind of place. But why be in Vancouver if you just want to stay at a hotel pool?

Convenient but somewhat sketchy location. Small rooms slow elevators. Extremely small room think of 4 walls and a bed stuck in between. The room was clean and bed linens and furnishings all good but very cramped.

Our room was quite small but was comfortable and the bed was good. Very nice bathroom. Good location around the corner from Davie Street (gay district) and very close to transport. Good breakfast spot across the road at 2 Parrots. Staff tried to be helpful but didn't appear very knowledgeable about how to get places. The 'Airporter' bus picks up and drops off right outside the hotel. Overall a good choice.

I received a great rate to stay at this hotel on a travel bdding website. I was not impressed but would stay here again for what I paid. The hotel has a very popular nightclub connected to it so the sidealk outside the front door was crowded with bar patrons on weekend nights. The elevator broke down twice while I stayed here and i had to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to room until it was repaired. The carpets in the common areas were shopworn and the style was obviously from the 1980's. The front desk upgraded my room to a suite with a kitchen since I was a late check-in. That helped a lot. For a gay man the location was great as it i just steps away from most of he gay nightlife of downtown Vancouver. Overall it was great value but I would have been upset had I paid the rack rate for my room. At what I paid it was well worth it.

Had booked this hotel as part of Travel online's Airfare+Hotel combo price. Did not expect much for a 2-star hotel. In my opinion, this hotel does not deserve a 2-star rating. I was "upgraded" to a "better" room as my allocated room was "sold out". This was determined by the front desk staff who fumbled for a good 10-15 minutes to get the so-called "upgrade". This upgraded room was slightly larger than a cubby hole. The TV and the remote was antiquated. You have to press the remote with one hand and then press the buttons with your other hand to make it to work. The night stand next to the bed had broken knobs. The worst was the towels. They had hair strands in them. I can only imagine what my original room would have been if this is the condition of the "upgraded" room.

burn it down this and start from scratch, this place is a dump. out room was small, noisy, filthy and smelly and expensive. we paid 110 with tax and feel we were ripped off

The staff there are VERY nice and accomodating. They are very quick to remedy any issue. If you are a light sleeper let the front desk know. Hotel is in a awesome location to get anywhere in Vancouver. They give out gym passes to the gym one block over that is GREAT! Check in was a breeze, they had my room ready prior to the designated check in and let me in early!! Granville has alot of construction on it but dont let that keep you from staying there. I felt very safe at this location. The manager and Peyman were very kind and helpful. THANKS!

It really depends what you are looking for. A weekend of fun and party? Then perhaps this is a hotel for you. They have serious problem with key cards not reading access to elevator, and its so annoying. A lot of drunk kids around... But if you get a good deal this is still worth it. Ask for room on top floors facing back of the hotel, and the say will be sweet and pleasant.

Excellent and safe area for shopping, clubbing, and hanging out. Excellent area for young adults because it is very economical and it is near lots of cool pubs, restuarants and other attractions. It is in walking distance from all the night clubs on Davie Village. So there is no need for a taxi when you go clubbin at night. I plan on going again in the summer and staying at this hotel.

Very convenient. Hard to find- in the middle of a big street construction problem. Rooms are small, but its a greatfor the location.

This hotel is in a scary part of town. The small cramped room was only eclipsed by the noise from the busy street below. Horns, sirens and loud people were heard all through the night. Pan handlers and gangs were in the immediate vicinity, making it a scary place to go out into after dark. A Vacouver area resident, that we met while out trying to find a place to eat, asked that we don't "... judge Vancouver by the place we are staying..." I was sorely disappointed, largely because online travel website's site gave it reasonable promotion. It was not cheap compared to other hotels promoted on online travel website's site, and I would not stay there again. The staff was nice, but they don't make up for the experience.

As between the rooms, the soundproofing was inadequate. Guest conversation, TV broadcast, and doors slamming in the hall, were clearly a nuissance.

Location close to Granville Market. Musty maze of hallways with fire doors.

Made paid reservations long in advance, but the only rooms ""available"" were over the bar. You could both hear and feel the music through the floor! Ramada (corporate) claimed they could neither refund our money nor transfer it to a different Ramada hotel. They said we would need to talk to the manager to get a refund, and he wouldn't be in until Monday. After an angry confrontation in the lobby, one of the clerks volunteered to phone around and, ultimately, found us a better hotel - which was much appreciated. That said, I won't be booking a room at a Ramada again.

I am glad I didn't get a room on the street, due to noise. It was clean and served it's function.

Very friendly staff, clean room, nice bathroom, andreasonably priced. Small rooms, thin walls.

While not large, the room was laid out well. Bathroom was nice. Everything was clean. Neighborhood is being upgraded so there are some sketchy people/places mixed with upscale bars & clubs. Was loud at night from the street. Very convenient to West End and downtown. They have limited parking so you are stuck with street parking or paying for a lot if you don't get in there lot.
