We walked into a beautiful lobby ... walked up to the check-in counter and waited, with a slight glance for the attendant to finish placing some loose coin into a plastic tube. I had announced that we had a reservation and gave our names as soon as we approached the counter. When he was finished with his task at hand, he walked over to his computer, brought up our reservation, encoded our keys, handed them to us with a quick description "you're in the third building at the back", "drive to the far end, turn left and you're at the end". That was it ... no explanation of the facilities, no welcome, just a "here's your room, get lost" kind of attitude. When we arrived in our room the first thing I noticed was the head-board on the bed was crooked. Then I walked to the vanity to put down my toiletries bag and I noticed the hand towels and face cloths had been tossed on top of the coffee maker tray, which had been shoved into the corner, knocking over the complimentary shampoo & hand lotion. The box of facial tissues was crammed onto the coffee maker tray as well. There was drywall dust on the other end of the counter, the in-rooom safe and the floor. It was apparent that the clothes rack had just been installed, about 1 inch off level. The mirror over the dresser was also crooked, and you had to push the window curtains out of the way whenever you closed the exit door. Although we were at a "Ramada Inn" with a swimming pool, whirlpool and sauna, they were 3 buildings away, you'd have to drive to enjoy them without freezing.

Nothing. Nothing. To put it mildly - poop was smeared all over the bathroom ceiling and walls. When I called the front desk they said they would send someone over to clean it up - we went on a tour - came back in 3 hours and no one cleaned it up. It was disgusting.

Actually a really nice hotel. I mean the price was great, and the service was average, but the rooms were clean. It was nice to have outside access but also had rooms inside. May need an extra pillow for the king size rooms, but overall for the price, I would go back. For location is actually right off i-95 and easily to get to dinner, and Walmart if needed.

Its location. Smelled horrible no one helped when they said they would. We requested for someone to come spray in our room because it smelled horrible of smoke and no one ever showed up. Because of this I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Our car broke down on the way home from vacationing in South Carolina. It was the place that the tow truck dropped us off in the middle of the night. The lobby was misleading. It gave us the impression that this hotel was a great place to spend a few hours. The clerk at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. She set us up in a room and we didn't think we would have any problems. We turned down the covers to find bed bugs on both beds. My husband called the front desk to report the discovery. The clerk had us return to the lobby for another room assignment. I made the point to ask the clerk if this had been a problem in the past. She told us that it was a problem in some of the rooms. We shouldn't experience any further problems with the new room. We inspected the beds, sheets, and mattresses and when we didn't find any thing we decided to stay in the room. If we were able to, we would have left this hotel in search of a better one. My father- in-law came for us a few hours later. We so happy to get out of there!!! We will never stay at another Ramada Inn again!

Our car broke down on the way home from vacation from South Carolina. It was late at night and the first hotel the tow truck driver dropped us off at was booked. So, we saw the Ramada Inn and decided to walk over to it and see if they had any rooms. We walked in to an impressive lobby which gave us the thought that this was going to be a nice place to stay. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. She checked us into our room. We settled in and when turned down the covers to our beds. We were shocked and disgusted to find that both of the beds had bed bugs. My husband called to the front desk to report the problem. The clerk had us return to her for another room assignment. The second appeared to be alright after we inspected the beds, mattresses, and covers. We were exhausted and just wanted to go to bed. If the situation was a different we would have left this hotel immediately. My father in-law came to get us a few hours later. Thank you, Dad. I wanted to add this, when we returned to the front desk to be reassigned to another room, I asked the clerk if bed bugs were a problem in this hotel. She replied in some of the rooms the infestation remains a chronic problem. She acted as if it were it was no big deal. I found her comment to be unnerving. It made us all shiver with disgust. Filthy, disgusting, and gross!!!

Ugh!!! This was the shortest hotel stay I ever made. At first - the lobby gives the impression that this is a rather nice hotel. I am sure it was beautiful years ago. But the room... horrible. We had a leaky ceiling, which was actively coming down on carpet. carpets were filthy. we were not sure linens were changed. Matresses / furniture was very old and stained. we left our clothes and the light on. I was so uncomfortable, we decided to get up at 6am to leave. another problem, there computer system was down and we never received a receipt for cash payment. I am hoping that does not come back to haunt me.

The lobby was beautiful, and the staff was friendly. The walls were thin, so I could hear everything outside of my room until 3:00am. I booked this hotel because of the star-rating, but I was disappointed to find that it did not meet my expectations. The lobby was beautiful, so I thought that my room would be the same. However, it was not. When I arrived in my room there were hairs from a past guest in my shower. There were a few ants in the bathroom. There was a hole in the ceiling over the shower, so I was worried about showering. My bed was less than comfortable - very few pillows and I could feel the springs of the bed in my back. The other guests were overly loud outside of my room, and I could hear everything outside, so I did not sleep well at all the entire 3 nights I stayed there. There was very little parking, and I did not feel very safe walking to my room at night after work. I will not return to the Ramada inn after that stay - there are much better hotels in the Fredericksburg area that I now prefer.

We had stayed here many times as it is right off I-95 and half way between our home and our destination in SC. The quality has gone downhill so fast. When it was a Holiday Inn, it was a great place to stay. The Senior AARP rate entitles you to a room at the very back of the hotel. I guess it is safe as we didn't leave the room after dark. We had also stayed here six months ago with the hopes that it had improved but were wrong. There was a car with a flat tire parked in front of our room and it was the exact same car with the flat tire that was parked there six months ago! I wouldn't recommend any extended stay. I did notice that they appeared to be remodeling some of the rooms. We didn't dare try the restaurant, but went to one of the many restaurants just down the back road.

I didn't like using the phone or clock bec they were dirty. I have been going there for many years and they always have buckets of water in the lobby to catch raim water from the roof. The room smelled.

"Ramada name not what it use to be. Dirty room, substandard beds, smoke in non-smoking room, really dirty floors, bad service (asked for extra pillow that never showed). Don't stay here."

It was very clean and well appointed for the price. Our room was near the bar. The music kept us up - 2:00. This was a very nice hotel. It was clean and comfortable, but we had to deal with the annoying music from the bar. Our room was across a large lobby from it, and the vibration as well as the thump-bang-thump-bang of the music kept us up past 2:00. We thought it odd the staff took pains to quiet children running along the balconies, but the bar was loud enough to wake the dead.

"Circa 1960 this place was probably fantastic. Unfortunately, it has not been updated since then. This place was nasty...the pictures must be from 1965 (it's prime). Our room was dirty...pretty sure we had throw-up stained mattresses and the celings were covered w/ water stains. Al & Peggy Bundy would have been right at home here. This place needs a major renovation then maybe it would be up to current standards. Spend an extra $30 a night and stay elsewhere!"
