Date of Stay:
July, 2009
The Ramada was located within walking distance of many of the shops in Marquette. Kala, who worked the front desk, was so pleasant and helpful. It is not a new or fancy hotel, but very comfortable. The restaurant had some wonderful selections on it.

Night staff was great. Room sucked. I was able to check in early which was nice, but I was put on the first floor next to the pool and laundry areanot ideal for someone working midnights. The lady who worked the front desk in the morning was rude and the cleaning staff ignored my do not disturb sign. The room was clean, and for the price it wasn't bad.

I was there for a funeral and they were very gracious and caring.
Date of Stay:

Cleanliness of bathroom. Friendly personnel. Had to call to have room cleaned at 3:30 in the afternoon. We were some what disappointed in the quality and the age of the hotel. Service on the weekend (room cleaning) was poor. Much better during the week.
Date of Stay:
December, 2008
Friendliness of staff, location. Small bed, old plain rooms. Very friendly staff at a hotel that is fine for staying a night or two if on a budget.
Date of Stay:

Location, wirless internet in the room. 2nd floor room with no elevator. I expect Ramada hotels to be of at least a basic caliber of a hotel with elevators, automatic doors to get into the hotel, basically clean and business friendly. This hotel looks like it was left behind in the 70s. It needs a remodel badly.

The price was excellent, the restaurant was fine. Nothing in particular. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the computer in the lobby. The room was clean and enjoyable. Nice place.

Wireless internet always worked and had no charge for it. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and the restaurant was okay. (We ate two dinners there.)

Centrally located, friendly staff, nice pool with hot tub. Parking is insufficient. This was the 7th time we stayed at Ramada in Marquette. The staff is always friendly, the place is very clean, the restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices and the beds are quite comfortable. The only bad thing is the parking, which is really bad on weekends as they always have a wedding or other large party booked there.

Our carpet was wet, so they upgraded us instantly! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. After finding our carpet in our room was wet, the gentleman at the front desk, without any problem, gave us a suite, and apologized for the trouble it caused us. It was like a honeymoon come true, never having anything that wonderful happen to us, being lower middle class. We enjoyed every part of our stay!

Pool, whirlpool, restaurant. Smells old, AC was noisy. It was ideally located near our daughter's college. It is an older hotel, but the accommodations were adequate for our visit. It could use some updating though.
Date of Stay:
July, 2008
The location was right downtown. The separate building we had to stay in. We had to stay in a different building. This made it feel more like a motel since you have to go outside and walk to the main building. The hallway had a horrible smell.
Date of Stay:
July, 2008
Staff was really helpful. Downtown Marquette, within walking distance of NMU; spacious rooms, many overlooking indoor pool/hot tub/sauna. Easy access off highway 41.
Date of Stay:
May, 2008
Downtown location. Dirty. Nice people, but dirty halls, dim pool, unattractive rooms.
Date of Stay:
May, 2008
Friendly staff and speedy check-in and check-out. No parking until after parties end. We have stayed at this Ramada numerous times and will continue to do so while our son resides in this college town. We have stayed at 3 or 4 other hotels in the area, but always come back to Ramada. The staff is great, rooms are clean and the noise is minimal.
Date of Stay:
April, 2008
Front desk staff very polite. Dirty toilet, loud obscenities from man in next room. I asked for the quietest room possible and was put in an annex to the main bldg. It was at the entry and very noisy with people entering and leaving and one man on his cell in the doorway for a long time. The man in the next room was very loud. I asked the front desk to move me but they called the man and asked him to quiet down.
Date of Stay:

Public areas in main building nice and employees very friendly. The building behind the main building stunk and our room stunk horribly. The main building which houses the lobby, restaurant and pool is really nice and all employees were very friendly and personable. Now the negative-we were sent to a separate building which, on the outside, looked like a dormitory. We opened the door and were knocked over by a stale smell. Our room was even worse-must and stale smoke. When the kids wanted to swim, we had to go outside in 20 degree temps to go to the other building and return the same way in wet bathing suits! Then the room key wouldn't open the door to the "dormitory" and they were stuck outside wet and freezing. We would possibly stay at this hotel again only if we could get a room in the main building.
Date of Stay:
January, 2008
The staff was accommodating and friendly. The room was very nice. The housekeepers did not replace the coffee each day and on the last day we were there, the bed was not "made" but "pulled up". When we went to our assigned room, there was someone already in the room. When we went to the desk, the young man apologized and put us in a very nice suite. The original room was to be poolside which liked but the suite was even better.
Date of Stay:
December, 2007
The location was comfortable. The most uncomfortable bed, I have ever slept in.
Date of Stay:
September, 2007
Close proximity to downtown and friendly staff. Noisy even after 10pm on Saturday.
