Spent a three-day weekend here to visit Foxwoods Casino and the Mystic Aquarium. Proximity to these locations was reasonable&but the hotel itself was, to say the least, disappointing! It stated that it had been renovated in 2007. Can't see how this is possible. Outdated furniture, old carpeting and an unpleasant odor throughout the hotel. The door to enter/exit our section of the building had a key-entry system that didn't work. We saw all kinds of shady characters entering and exiting. Also found adjoining door unlocked upon returning the first day. Both a serious concern when traveling with a five year old. The room reeked of smoke. The bathroom clearly had not been cleaned as the toilet was dirty and there was hair left both in the sink and shower. The toilet clogged twice. When we called to have it fixed, the maintenance man simply handed my husband a dirty plunger and walked away. The pool was dirty and small. Only allowed one very small towel per person for after swimming. Needless to say, will neither be returning to this hotel, nor recommending to anyone else.

Hotel was convenient to my event. Room was really really small. Micro tel Uncasville was clean and convenient. However rooms were very small and barely big enough for two. I have not stayed in a place with such small rooms in many years. I planned to stay 2 nights but after the first night, I moved to the Ramada Groton which was much better, larger and had a restaurant attached.

Room was extremely clean, Front desk clerk was very helpful. Room was cleaned very well during visit. Breakfast was well stocked. Location is PERFECT for this area.

broken toilet roll dispenser, peeling paint in bathroom, smoke in halls, couldn't use heating unit, lack of sheets and no blankets, etc. etc.

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and stayed at the Ramada Groton. We loved the fact that the hotel was only 10 minutes from downtown Mystic and 20 minutes from Foxwoods Casino. The staff was superbly friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. The reviews on Orbitz stated newly renovated. We did not see evidence of that in our room. The bathroom was filthy and outdated. The bathroom near the pool area smelled of urine and was also filthy. We will not stay here again until the bathrooms and filthy carpets are cleaned and updated.

It's convenient location and price. It was just what we needed for a quick overnight stay. The room was small and the hallway smelled like smoke (even though it was nonsmoking). I would recommend this hotel for short stays. If you're looking for a clean room, comfortable bed , and AC that works it's a great place. If you're looking for ambiance, keep looking.

There are several hotels in the area and my wife and I decided to stay here because of the indoor pool and location. Upon reviewing comments here and other online travel websites, we were very hesitant. To our suprise the staff were very friendly and assured us the rooms were renovated just a few months ago. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on in a hotel. The pool and hot tub were nice, a bit small, but adequate. Breakfast included bagels, eggs and sausage- self serve. THere was a restaurant and salon- however we didnt utilize. I would difently stay here again on our next trip to Mystic.

This hotel was dirty, and the doors wouldn't open with the keys provided. The maintenance staff was very accomodating however. The TV was not cooridnated with the remote. Finally figured this out on our own. The bathroom door did not shut.

The hotel was really nice. We were there to go to Mohegan Sun & Foxwood. The hotel was close to both. I would stay there again, and tell my friends to stay. The free breakfsast was good. The only problem was the toilet didnt flush all the time, the tv remote didn't work, and don't check in early you are charge a fee.

Cheap, unattractive, but good for business. Across from WalMart.

we have stayed at many motels this one was (bad) no room service . you could not eat in the rooms , a tip jar on counter for breakfast. we got locked out because of them putting the wrong info. on c-card and our pet was inside. .we. were on the bottom level with no outside chairs and rhe room was very dark and the tiolet ran all the time and did not ever fill-up. never never stay again. bb

Stay would have been just fine, nothing spectacular but fine had the fire alarm not gone off 4 times in the middle of the day friday when we were trying to sleep before our event later that night. Incredibly annoying. They did give us a $50 voucher for the restaurant which we didn't get to use. Oh and renovated in May '07. . .maybe they should do it again!

The staff was friendly & helpful. The breakfast buffet was good. The swimming pool and hot tub were cold and run down. The room had a musty smell. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay one or two nights. Good location to get to Mohegan Sun.

On check-in, the room was very hot. We turned on A/C at 4PM and left for the evening. On return at 10PM, the A/C was not working and room was still hot. We contacted front desk. The person they sent to the room to check A/C was dirty, disheveled and reeked of alcohol. If we had kids with us, he would NOT have been allowed in the room. We did receive another room within about 1 hour.At the breakfast buffet (which was meager), we were stunned to see a "tip jar" on the counter - the first we have ever seen with a complimentary breakfast. The rooms were only average, but the experience we had with the maintenance person so rattled us that we will never stay here again, nor would we ever consider recommending this hotel to others.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. The employee at the front desk even called our room phone to ensure that we did not need further assistance. It was a 10 minute drive from Mystic Seaport. I would recommend this hotel for travelers that will be spending the majority of their time at the aquarium etc as it lacked the ammenities of a luxurious hotel.

Friendly staff, good value, comfortable bed and pillows. Common areas too warm, lower level smelled bad, pool area needed work. This was a nice hotel for the price. The beds were comfortable, check-in was easy, things were clean. Breakfast was good. Only complaints were it was very warm in common areas, lower level smelled musty, moldy, something like that.

Easy check in and check out process. The elevator had a stale and musty smell to it. The hotel was adequate for our needs at the time. It was a short trip and we only needed an overnight place. We were out most of the time. I would not recommend this hotel for travelers who would have a longer stay and spend some time in the room.

My stay at the Ramada was not for a pleasure trip, I had to deal with a mother in a nursing home and had to clean out her condo. This hotel was ideal for me traveling by myself and working everyday for two weeks. The staff was extremely helpful and the hotel was very clean and provided what I needed at a very reasonable price. It was centrally located to all the places I needed to be. Good dining, and a Walmart across the street. I plan on staying there again when I return to Connecicut. I would recommend it to anyone as the place to stay.

There was a nice pool and Jacuzzi. The laundry room was close to my room. That really helped. The only restaurant in the hotel is Indian food. it really isn't diverse. I enjoyed the hotel. It was close to everything we needed and it had a guest laundry room which came in great use to me. I would recommend the hotel to my friends.
