We ended up staying a total of three nights. Nice employees. Pretty good service. Beds were small, very small. View and location were good. Food was fresh and yummy, priced well.

Hotel staffwas very friendly. Hotel could use some updates.

I stayed here for a few days and thought it was a great price for the location and ambiance. However, when I left an important folder in the room in a drawer I was pleased with the management's flexibility in getting it sent back to me. They were very accommodating. Plus, you can actually get a nice free scrambled egg breakfast rather than the usual cold carb-o-rama offered at motels. Yes, the rooms could use a little updating, and even a handy man would help, but it was clean and spacious, so I give them a big thumbs up. I'd stay there again.

The breakfast was great. The room was shabby and not very appealing.

Could use some up dating, rooms had space to stretch. Parking garage was kind of a pain, seemed to be a strange set up. Pool was very very warm, but the whole room that housed it was scary seemed dark and dirty. We had to call the front desk for towels, they only brougt 6, which didnt help the other folks who came to swim. Positive would be if you want to swim and do laundry at the same time you can. If traveling and just want a place to sleep, this may not be the place unless the price is right.

The management was very helpful in fixing our problems. The cleaning staff was less than adequate for this hotel. We have stayed at this hotel many times and overall it is adequate for our need to just have somewhere to lay our heads. It is downtown and not close to many restaurants and shopping but has many nice areas to take walks. There is no continental breakfast so be prepared to buy food at their restaurant which is overpriced or bring your own food. We had no shower curtain in our room and it took hours to receive one. The cleaning staff forgot to clean our room one day and walked in unannounced on another occasion. On days they did clean, they did not restock entirely, ie. coffee, shampoo. The management was very friendly and helpful in rectifying the situations.

"This is the hotel I always stay at in Eau Claire. For me, it is mostly just because of the central location. It has great on site, covered parking. Walking distance to several restaurants, etc and just a 2 min drive to the University. Great service, nice restaurant on sire but they could upgrade some of the rooms. Ceilings, fixtures, etc..."

The people at the front desk were very nice and friendly. I was in town for business and they help me with directions and gave me recommendations on things to do in town.

Comfortable beds, and good grab and go breakfast. Seemed old and dirty. This hotel is in need of some updating rooms seemed and dirty. Beds were comfortable and the free grab and go breakfast was nice.

Very nice lobby and restaurant. The air conditioning unit was squealing during our whole stay and was very annoying. The hotel was nice but the lounge closed at 10:00 on a Saturday night which is very unusual and inconvenient when you want to relax after a long day. They did not give me a price break when I told them about the air conditioning unit that was squealing all night.

Good choice if a Downtown stay is required. Pleasant hotel in the downtown area. Recently renovated rooms. Free breakfast cooked to order. Would recommend.

This hotel is in a great location. The room needed updating/repair (water leaks and damage). Upon arrival, the lobby of the hotel was clean and friendly. The staff was pleasant. The room was sized nicely and it was clean, but there are repairs that need to be done. The bathrooms needed some help with upkeep. It had severe water damage. The pool area was nice, but could also use some serious cleaning, repainting/refreshing. The exercise room was lacking. The equipment is very outdated what there was of it. (An old treadmill, a very old stepper and one weight bench). The restaurant on premise (Porter's) has excellent food which was overlooked due to a long wait for poor service, dirty coffee cups (that were pre-filled so the residue in them wasn't noticed until after the coffee was almost completely consumed), ordered items that didn't get delivered, and a check that was wrong. Overall, I don't know that we would stay there again. It was certainly tolerable, but disappointing as we had stayed there a couple months ago and were pleasantly surprised.

Maintenance wasnot so great. Loved the hotel at first, but sheets were dirty and sink didn't drain.

Liked the convenience of an attached parking ramp. Did not like being next to an adjoining room, other party was loud.

Nice staff & lobby was pretty so I expected the rooms to be the same. Poor maintenance and upkeep of rooms and other areas. Not maintained - dirty and outdated. Dusty - dirt and hair in corners of bathroom, black mold in caulking in bathroom. Old wallpaper. Ceilings were movable square tiles from 70s. Tub didn't drain. Our clock radio wasn't plugged in. Towel rack in pool was empty. Same dirty towels and wet clothes and trash were left in pool area for 2 days - pool clock not changed for daylight savings from 2+ weeks ago. In laundry, windows and machines were dusty. Affordable laundry fees. First night was given the smallest room I have ever stayed in - only fit 1 double bed. I viewed a larger smoking room - very bad! Staff was nice to move us the 2nd night to a room with 2 beds. Lobby was beautiful. Nice (free) hot breakfast served Mon-Sat in restaurant but short staffed. All of the front desk was customer focused but seemed stressed. Could be a really nice hotel if owners took pride in maintaining it. Great location near cute downtown shops. Free parking ramp. As a frequent traveler the lack of upkeep was disappointing in comparison to other places.

The shower was amazing and we had a wonderful trip. It was not very clean in the room. The staff is very good and helpfull. I recomend staying there just for this. The room was not very clean or romantic but we did not stay in the room that much. The bed was comfortable and the shower in the bath was great. I would recomend those as a perk to what you get.

It was cheap. Toilet did not work and they didn't want to give us another room. We used bottle water for brushing teeth, etc. When we told them at checkout they said ok have a nice day.
