Animals were allowed, there was an elevator and the pool was nice. The carpet could be cleaner. We liked it, it was comfy enough for the 2 days stay. The pool was nice, clean and the pool area was very inviting. The room was not the best ever but it was not the worst. The lobby was nice, the desk clerks were nice, the breakfast was very nice and the best was actually somewhat not that bad. I was actually able to sleep. The train did not bother us because we were on the front of the hotel. We would stay there again, but then I know what some of the others are like in Barstow, not that great!

I was in this hotel a very short period of time. we checked in and the room had no a/c turned on now this was summer time the room was so hot and never cooled down. we asked for another room and the next room also was just as hot no a/c. I made a few trips across the floor unpacking the carpet was so dirty that the bottom of my feet were tinged black. The bathroom floor was sticky and there was hair in the bathtub. The bed linens smelled like they had not been laundered. We slept in our clothes on top of the blankets. The hotel did absolutely nothing to resolve this. I would never stay in a Ramada Inn again and will recommend others also no do so to avoid the headache of unsatisfactory and unacceptable accomodations. I would grade this hotel an F.

Don't let the outside appearance of the hotel fool you. Walking to the room it was apparent that the carpets were dirty and stained. The room has a musty smell to it. The bathroom appeared to be cleaned, but the exhaust fan was awfully loud and stopped working from time to time. A dig drawback about the fan is that when you turned the light on in the bathroom the fan was turned on as well. Not a good thing if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Oh, I almost forgot? The wallpaper in the bathroom was in need of replacement and could be seen pealing from the wall.

It's right next to train tracks. The train comes every 10-15 minutes. The security at this hotel is terrible. I had an entire trailer stolen from the parking lot. When the police arrived they admitted that theft and vandalism was common at the Barstow Ramada. Also the hotel is parallel to train tracks; the train runs every 10 - 15 minutes at every morning at 8:00AM the whistle blows.

We have utilized various Hotels in Barstow with disappointment. We found Ramada Inn to be clean, quiet, and very comfortable after a long drive.

Hotel was fairly nice room wise. Problems with wireless Internet access, pool water was not kept clean. Overall the hotel was OK for our needs. Only certain rooms had hard wired Internet access which I so prefer over wireless. Was not able to access Internet for first several days. I had to leave a day early and so it cost me about 80 - 90 dollars for a room which I did not use. Oh, and one of the cars, near ours, in the parking lot was broken into, not good.

Next door to a very good local restaurant. Very dirty and poor room condition unsafe location. Outside looks nice, but the room was deplorable. Very dirty with broken lamp shade and wobbly headboard (the prior guest stuffed tissue paper - didn't help). We were approached by a person bumming cigarettes right outside the main entrance. Local children are apparently allowed to use the swimming pool. Should have tried Best Western.
