The hotel had a wonderful staff and a great location close to the airport. The pool was very nice and my child loved it. The room was very clean and the beds were nice. The only thing wrong in our room was the wallpaper in the corner was peeling a little. This really didn't bother us but it did take away from the beauty of the room.

Halls constantly smelled like cigarette smoke even though all the rooms were non smoking. The carpet was old and outdated and the halls stank of smoke. The pool was nice and warm but there were no towels and we had to ask several times for some, they kept saying they were brining some and we finally just left the pool without drying off. They tried to do some upgrades with nice bedding but the cover to the blanket was stained. The staff was pleasant though. No elevators and the stairways were creepy. Don't think I'll be going back.

We got a great rate over the 'net from an online hotel website-- $* a night. We overheard another couple trying to get a room, and the front desk clerk could offer a lowest price of $* a night. The moral is, book ahead of time via the Internet. The staff certainly was nice enough, but the building's walls are too thin. We could hear conversation from the room next door and the room above. We could also hear the aircraft from the Bangor airport, but only when the planes flew in our direction which is only a dozen flights a day or so. On a Monday night, after the bar closed, we were awakened by a very loud and drunk crowd on the parking lot out front. I phoned the front desk who said they would send somebody out there. Twenty minutes later, the last car had driven away. The bathroom was not swept our entire four days but was covered in the same blond hair as the day we checked in (we are dark-haired). Note: The entire fitness center is merey four treadmills, but that was okay for us as we got in a lot of additional exercise doing vacationy things.

we had a non smoking room that you could still smell the smoke from the previous party

I wasn't happy with the original room booked. The staff immediately gave me a key to inspect another room and allowed us to switch to another room with no problem at all. I was very pleased with the front desk staff, as they went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our accommodations. I would highly recommend the Ramada Bangor to anyone traveling.

The pool. Loud yelling, loud drinkers all night, police came up the hall. The lady at the desk was rude and un supportive of my satisfaction.

Clean, comfortable room for a reasonable price. Exercise room has only treadmills, no TV. Shuttle provided to and from airport.

The mattress was soft...sunk in the middle

Location. Not a place to stay if you actually need to get some sleep. The 'bar' or 'club' or whatever it is supposed to be attract a lot of trouble and requires a full time officer to be present to try and keep trouble to a minimum. It is very loud and brings trouble to the halls, common areas, parking lots, etc. Not family or business friendly at all.

I stayed at this hotel the sunday and monday night just before july 4th this year. I stayed in a business class room with a king size bed. The room had been recently refurnished and was what I would consider quite nice. I found the hotel to be very quiet during this time and I would definitely stay there again. Wireless internet access was another reason I would stay there again.

The room was spacious and comfy. I was expecting a breakfast of some kind in the morning so when I found out that we could buy breakfast next door I was a little disappointed. Otherwise great stay.

I stayed at this hotel July 4th weekend and my wife and I had a great time. The rooms are brand new with the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. We actually asked the front desk clerk where we could buy the exact bed and the manager helped us with that info. They have a great nightclub on site that is a great place to drink and dance. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. This is probably the nicest Ramada we have ever stayed at. We recommend it to all our friends.

It was an enjoyable stay. It was close to the mall and excellent restaurants. The Ramada in Bangor was located in a nice area and easy to find. The only drawback was it didn't have an elevator, so you had to carry your luggage up the stairs. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

In not too busy a location. Airplanes going-as near airport. I found everything quite satisfactory. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and had a tv that worked well.

The hotel staff was very courteous. Their knowledge of the area was superior. The cleaning staff did not take care of my room the second day I was there.

Close to airport. Old, dirty androoms were awful. The hotel was close to the airport and the shuttle service was prompt. The hotel was dated and the rooms were old and ugly. The bed was awful. The carpet was old and dirty. I would never go barefoot.
Date of Stay:
September, 2008
Accessibility to major highway. NA Met or exceeded expectations.
