Nice location on the waterfornt in Mackinaw City. Also just a few hundred feet from the ferry services and within walking of all the shopping, dining and everything. It was very quiet at the hotel and it was very clean. The room was very roomy, great private balcony. There was a bonfire on the beach each night that was really nice. A no frills hotel, but clean, peaceful and wonderful views and location to everything.

When our room was not ready the clerk apologized and gave us another one. Bugs in the bed. Very poor. My adult son and I stayed at this facility and our room was not ready when we arrived. The polite clerk assigned us another room. On Sunday am I saw a bug on my sons pillow case and crushed it. I was astonished to see the large blood mark it left on the linens. I then pulled back the covers and found streaks of blood near the foot of his bed and also on mine. There was another type of insect that I scooped up (2) in a plastic cup and took to the clerk. The young woman said she was not aware that there were bugs in the room and said the manager was not available. I have made several phone calls trying to contact the manager and have received no response. Ramada Central sent me an email today, Thurs. 5-17 answering my Mon. 5-14 inquiry. This was very poor response time. I had questions re: treatment for bites, if necessary, how to kill any insects we may have brought home, and how to safeguard my own home from an infestation. I now know that wherever I stay I will always pull back the sheets and check for any type of unwanted insects. In general, I do not feel this establishment was ready. Gravel was on the sidewalk by the office, a screen was sitting by a window, numerous insects were in the outside Jacuzzi and cigarette butts were strewn around the entrance. Will I be back? NO. The manager has yet to contact me - I feel at the very least.

we have been coming here for over 15 years and always find a clean room and very quiet , even on holidays , great beds and great tv 32 inch and a million dollar view of lake huron with sandy safe beach and good swimming pool. breakfast bar is okay with eggs but no donuts. big boat dock next door to mackinaw island

Was upgraded to king size suite with memory foam bed. Excellent sleep. Hotel was sold out, so the continental breakfast dining room was completely full with families waiting in line for a place to sit. Chaotic. Reservation was made at the Ramada waterfront. When we arrived, the Ramada was closed with a sign on door directing us to the Hamilton inn next door. Our reserved room was sold, but the staff upgraded us to a king-sized Jacuzzi suite with memory foam bed. Best night of sleep we ever had. We are traveling with a 4 year old so that says allot. Thank you.

The staff at this hotel were terriable, we were there with a hockey group and they really treated us like dirt, I would NEVER recommend this to any group with kids.
