Adequate hotel if a little tired.The hotel is not the most attractive looking hotel from the car park but there is improvement when you enter the building. Receptionist was friendly which is always a good start and the rooms were comfortable if a little dated. I ate in the restaurant in the evening and can conclude that the meals at RJ must be pre-packed as the meal was identical to the fantastic meal I'd had at the RJ at Heathrow, only this time the presentation was dire. Burnt garlic bread and the curry looked like it had been baking under heat lamps for 20 minutes. The table service was dissappointing where the staff appeared young, inexperienced and disinterested. Checkout was friendly and hassel free. An adequate hotel for an overnighter but eat somewhere else.

AwfulIn need of refurbishment, grim, musty, wasn't dirty but was probably the least inviting hotel I have stayed in for many a long year. Bed was hard as nails, pillows were non-existent. TV and music were all charged for, no ipod socket. NO BISCUITS!!!!!!Expensive, disappointing mess.

Ramada Hotel NorwichOverall the quality of the rooms we were acomodated in were poor, due to the excessive noise as we were located next to the main reception area where people were arriving very late and departing very early. It was also the place where smokers accumulated and drop off vehicles slammed doors.. These rooms had no air conditioning, necessitating the windows to be open, which resulted in no soundprfing at all. Even with the windows closed the sound proofing was extremely inadequate. Whilst we appreciated that the hotel was fully booked no efforts were made to exchange rooms - albeit that several other guests were only staying for one night and we could have been moved across the corridor. After two nights with no sleep we left the hotel a day early. In addition the wall paper brought on a headache if looked at for any perod of time.

When we arrived we thought it was not going to be so good but when we got inside we were very pleased with the quality of the accommodation. The pool was small but adeuqate for our needs. The staff were very friendly and most helpful.

Weekend BreakThe room was small and very overlooked as we looked out onto a flat roof and a bank of windows opposite. If I had been staying more than one night I think I would have possibly asked for an upgrade because of the size and the view out of the window, although it was very clean. Not enough tea bags or milk in the room and had to go to Reception twice to stock up but the staff were very friendly and happy to help. The gym and pool were very good indeed. Late night staff very helpful and friendly. Very convenient location as close to City and I didn't experience any road noise at all. In fact the hotel was lovely and quiet. Ample parking. Didn't check out the restaurant so can't comment on that. Overall I enjoyed the stay and would definately stay again because of the locality, the Spa facilities and the friendly, helpful staff which more than made up for the slightly disappointing room.

Very Average. Felt and looked like the Crossroads Motel! Customers ervice was however extremely good from what appeared to be a very young team! This should be applauded and does make a difference to staying away!

Twin room. The room is quite cosy as the beds are very cose together. Good nights sleep, didn't hear any background noise.

Small room with no air conditioning. Backed onto other parts of hotel air conditioning units so choice of keep windows shut and sweat or open windows but listen to drone of conditioning units keep you awake all night. No car parking spaces due to coaches being allowed to take up a total of 15 car spaces and receptionist had little idea of what she was doing, even tried to over charge me for the room. Was told had to pay cash as no facility to put credit onto room and even witnessed room service returning with food tray as guest could not pay for meal at the time. Duty manager seemed swamped with customer problems and out of his depth. Worst hotel experience for many years. Would not stay there again.

reviewVery dated hotel, not at all as expected for Ramada hotels, would not pay more than late rooms rate.reception staff upon checkout gave me another guests bill and this could be a major security and data protection act problem as my details and bill have gone astray and i have another guests details.

The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly, but if you went down for breakfast late they had run out of some of the items and not very quick at refilling them

Dissapointing, thank god there was a pool!Room was very basic (travelodge style) and small. Tea and coffee making facilities were minimal. Our expectations of a ramada jarvis hotel far exceeded what was actually provided for us during our stay. The saving grace was the swimming and leisure facilities. However we were unsure at first whether we were entitled to use said facilities as we were not given the same spiel as other guests checking in as to when/how to use them. Food was generally good, nevertheless, we were told at check in that breakfast on a saturday was served until 11am as opposed to the correct time of 10.30. We did make it to breakfast as fortunately i did check the times in the hotel manual however any guests that decided to have breakfast at 10.25am would have been sadly dissappoined as all the buffet food had been removed well before the actual finishing time of 10.30.My final point would be that the ramada brochure is misleading in some of the photographs it uses to represent the hotel in varying localities. As in we did not see the Ramada Norwich to be well represented by the pictures used in the brochure.

This hotel was not value for money. It was very expensive. There was a huge crack in the ceiling, the entire bathroom suite needs updating or at least a lick of paint. My expectations were let down. I have stayed in numerous hotels but this was the first time I was VERY disappointed and it left me feeling very homesick indeed! The room was very basic (I would expect this from an Ibis hotel) and the cost very high and not what you would expect from a Ramada hotel!

dinner. over priced. breakfast. although breakfast was busy one girl to service many tables. we had to stack cereal bowls main meal plates on top of one another. very small coffee pot and no enquiry would you like anymore coffee. after queing mushrooms and bacon on plate, only to find out that the beans and scrambled eggs would take a few minutes to appear. didnt bother.

The fabric of the hotel is very basic. Doors closing on corridors sounded like prison doors slamming and this went on all through Friday night. The swimming pool was quite nice but the person on duty on Sunday morning was 'out for a fag', so if you're in a hurry - don't bother.

A last minute arrangement to have a night away. At first glance the hotel looks reasonably good, and i'm sure when it was revamped it was nice at the time, however now it looks very tired and dated. Didn't use the leisure facilities but after speaking to people that had, their experience was much the same as the hotel, it was tired and dated. When having a drink in the bar in the evening, it was quite clear that the barman/bar manager was absolutely inebriated, not something you come to expect when you stay in a hotel!! He could not remember our very simple order and was staggering in the bar, he also stunk heavily of alcohol. I'm not the fussiest of travellers and have stayed in a wide variety of places, however if there are other hotels available, use them. This is not, and would not be my first choice, I would only stay here as a last resort.On a reasonably positive note, the breakfast was acceptable. I would imagine when it was freshly cooked it would be great, however what I ate had been sat under the hot plates for some time and was very dry. You could still tell the quality wasn't bad though.

Reception staff superb,but unfortunatly the bar guy spoke/understood very little english and was just short of getting own drink !! And the worst was sunday morning with check out being 12pm but cleaning staff knocked on door THREE times befre 10am !!!!

There was a noisey extractor fan outside the window which went on all night plus weather pillows which I am allergic too but other than that it was goo. The breakfast was good and it was great it was served till 11 and check out was at 12. Meant we didnt have to rush
