The location of this hotel is great -- just a few blocks away from Sunset Blvd. and Hollywood Blvd. It's easy to get to the Hollywood Sign, the Walk of Fame, downtown LA, and, of course, Universal Studios. What's odd is this hotel is not particularly close to Universal Studios -- it's over 7 miles away. Parking is not included and is $15 per night (plus tax). I had one significant glitch to my stay: I put the "do not disturb" sign on the door in the morning, then came back later to find my room cleaned, with the "do not disturb" sign on the inside of the door. According to the front desk (verified by the cleaning crew manager), you have to call the front desk EVERY DAY to tell them you don't want your room cleaned. I've traveled literally around the world and have never had a hotel do this to me. The cleaning crew manager said that people would complain that their rooms weren't cleaned when they had the "do not disturb" sign on their door, so they just ignore the sign now. What?! I'm still waiting to hear from the Ramada district manager about this.

The mold in the bathroom around the handicap seat. It was alright.

I traveled alone with my 10 year old daughter and the hotel suited our needs perfectly. The pool is smaller than in the pictures but it was big enough for us. It was close to lots of things and the people are very friendly and helpful. The gift shop guy is great if you need any help getting around. He is sweet. The breakfast had lots of choices but not much if you have to limit sugar intake. Oatmeal would be nice.

My wife and me we went for our friends wedding, and used this hotel for stay. Very good location, nice continental breakfast, friendly staff, very very slow elevators, need to wait for it so long, parking fee is $16.50 per night!!!, at least for hotel guests it schould be free. I paid just for park spot over $80 for my 5 days stay... not fair.

I thought it was very classy for the money. My room was on the street side and could hear the traffic all night. Overall, this was a great hotel. I will definitely go back, but I will try to request a room away from Vermont (the main road). Just a few blocks away is the LA community college. At night the area there is a little scary.

"Charge for parking they do not have a cafe just serves limited continental breakfast, rooms very small, they offer heaters you plug in and showers are made for people five feet or shorter, gift shop is not what you expect"

Leaving it. The rooms are awful! I was trying to find a nice hotel that didn't cost an arm & a leg in the Hollywood area. But the room smelled damp & musty. I was willing to overlook this but then I went in the bathroom & could smell mold. I looked at the wall by the shower & there was a piece of wallpaper that was peeling off I looked under it & saw black mold all over the wall underneath. Not cool. So we asked to trade rooms. I guess there are only 3 rooms with king size beds in the entire place which is strange in itself. They moved us to another & it was the same minus the mold. Dark, damp & smelly. The carpet in the hallways was ripped and stained with who knows what. My husband tripped over it just about every time we left the room. The place is a dump. We didn't even bother with the free breakfast - we didn't want to risk it. If the hotel is that nasty who knows what they are doing in the kitchen. Spend a little more money & get a nice hotel.

When i was booking my room through the internet, I had some doubts due to the traveler's reviews. When i checked inn, i was really surprised, it didn't seemed a 3-star hotel, the hallway was clean and odorless, the room was very clean with a nice balcony where i can smoke. Bathroom was good except the drain was a little slow. The only problem in the room was a misplaced post. It was almost in the middle of the room. Anyway it's just a minor problem, but other rooms was without the post. My room was Rm. 222. Breakfast was a bit limited in variety but still ok, after a few days you might want to sheck out the restaurants in the neighborhood.

Great location. Not far from univeral, hollywood and the freeway to get to disneyland and whatever else we needed. Rooms where small but the price is just right. You had to pay for parking but believe me when i tell you you have to pay EVERYWHERE for parking. The breakfast was basic eggs, sausage, fruit, bread and waffles. You get sick of waffles after 3 days. Go to "cafe griddle" for lunch or breakfast you will not be dissapointed. HUge sandwhiches and breakfast. I will stay at this hotel again.

Nothing - It was disgusting. Cleanliness, staff was rude, rooms were outdated, location was unsafe. This hotel lacks in cleanliness inside the room and out, the hotel staff was rude and un-helpful, and was located in a terrible area. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone- stay at Motel 6, it's better than this dump.

I'm hoping my experience will encourage others to avoid this place at all cost. We made an attempt to check into this place for a 4 day vacation. We booked our room based on what the website said they had available. When we arrived, the staff was very rude. After taking forever to check us in, we took the very slow & sticky floor elevator to our room. We open it up and found out it was NOT the room we reserved. We went back down to the lobby and showed them our reservation. They proceeded to tell us that was we reserve does NOT exist at their hotel. We paid extra for a suite w/ a seperate room but they said the website lied and that room does not exist period. When trying to find out what exactly they had in the place, the staff became even more ruder w/ us to the point were we demanded to speak to their supervisor/manager. We got him on the phone and he said the website (BTW: their official website, not someplace else) needs to be updated. We asked how can they update something they claim never existed? He said if we don't like what they have to offer, we can just leave. So after wasting our time and not knowing where else to stay, we just left after having in writing we will not be charged a single penny. I would advise anyone who want to stay here to confirm ahead of time you're getting what you want because otherwise, you will be very disappointed with the entire experience and could ruin your trip/plans. Thank goodness we found some other place to go but others might not be as lucky.

From the beginning it was bad news. I requested adjoining rooms. One with a single queen/king bed, and the other with 2 queens for my teenage sons. What I got was a single room on the 1st floor for my wife and I and for my sons.....their room was on the 3rd floor with only 1 queen even though I requested 2. When I paid for the rooms in the morning I was confirmed at the front desk but told the rooms still had to be cleaned. When we returned late that night everything was changed and all the rooms were sold out so we could not get a new one, and it was too late on a friday night to look elsewhere. Our rooms were the smallest I had ever seen. Only enough room to walk the sides around the bed, but no room for our suitcases or to set up a roll-away bed. We travel alot and always know that the Ramada Inns are like staying at the Hiltons. Always top notch and the best bang for the buck. But not this place. Corporate needs to review this Ramada because it is bad for their good name. I was disapointed at every level. Especially since my children had to sleep on the 3rd floor while I was on the first. It's also the first hotel that allowed my minor children to have their own room so far away from us. Even the pool was a disapointment...not heated as advertised. And during checkout all of our luggage got wet because the parking lot was being hosed down instead of being swept and my car was in a low spot next to the door where I had to park because it was the only handicap parking. Over-all a bad experience.

The location for good for me as I was visiting Los Angeles. If I were interested in Universal studios or Disney, this is not a good location. This hotel is in a residential neighborhood, trendy neighborhood, but not near any attractions.

Nothing at all very disappointed and livid about accommodations and customer service. Everything! My husband had to sleep on the floor! I don't recommend. Rude staff. Tiny rooms, bathrroms terribly small and not all the light switches in room worked.

I searched for a hotel near a train stop since me and my friends were not renting a car. I came across the Ramada hotel since it was a block away from the train. I like the fact that they had a breakfast buffet, microwave and fridge in the room, plus a balcony. The hot breakfast was delicious, especially the made-to-order waffles. On the last day it seemed brunch was included, which was a nice addition. On the down side, the Ramada website says they have a shuttle, but that is not true. Also I thought there was a business center, but there is just a computer in the lobby that you get charged for if you use it. So bring your own laptop. There was one day our room wasn't cleaned, which we called housekeeping about and they never did anything. Other than that, the location was excellent, the train and bus system is easy to use, and the locals are friendly--I even got to use some Spanish. I would definitely stay here again, becuase it is priced well and the free breakfast buffet is delicious!

This Ramada was a good value for the money. The rooms were relatively spacious and the location was centralized. It wasn't the best experience but I would stay at this hotel again no question.

Good room, good staff, good parking. Not located close to business or to entertainment. The room and public areas were decent and the location was not too far from the 101 freeway entrance and exit. However, it was a long walk to any restaurants from the hotel, and the immediate area is somewhat run down. If you are planning on driving everywhere, though, it's fine.
