Best hotel ever! Service is great!
Date of Stay:

Given that I was there on business and needed to access the business center, I did not appreciate having a dozen or so teenagers taking up all of the working computers and printers to look at their Facebook or MySpace pages.

Liked the location. Ice machine not working. Nice pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff.

This was absolutly HORRIBLE. Apparently they are undergoing renovations however the things they are not renovating is their staff! First te elevators in teh northtower are ALWAYS going down and if they are not broken they litterly take 20minutes(NOT an exageration) to get htere the west tower feels like your living in a basement, it's dark, cold and smells and the east tower, only some rooms are renovated (the staff doesn't even know which ones) a nd the renovations is new drapery and a lighter furniture!!! WOW still the same crap hotel. They are SO disorganized and all the staff is confused (they had a MANAGER up front not knowing how to work the system how is that for class1) most of their down time is spent doing refunds becasue of the lack of communication they look retarded they alwasy have to comp something. The Botanicas food is good. HOWEVER trying to get seated adn served is another story. service is poor adn the day cooks vs the night cooks is insaine- night cooks will mod your meal happily where as the day cooks you can't get a meal you will actually enjoy! The pop machines are ajoke! you get the wrong pop after paying for it! and you have to pay with tokens or a credit card!! the bottles of water in the rooms are warm and discussting, they say complementry yet when you leave they charge you $ for a bottle of "complementry" water!!! to sum this up I not only think you should avoid this place as much as possible but I believe it should be SHUT DOWN - this is a bad name and look on Edmonton!!

Our floor was under renovation, should have been closed off completely. We had to share the elevator with construction men and their tools. Had to walk through construction zone just to get to the elevator near lobby. Its about time its getting renovated, but close off the wing so the construction men can get their job done and customers don't have to see the mess. Our room was recently painted, and caulked and fumes were so bad we had to sleep with patio door open all evening. Hallway to our room smelled musty and dusty from the renovation. Our room was nicely updated however, good to see a change as we stayed here last year also. Homeless people with shopping carts welcomed us each morning we went to our car in the parking lot.

it was nice to stay their and the staff is very friendly.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, however I felt that as a young couple with young children using the facilities only to sleep the front desk should have been more considerate. They put us poolside right by the major stairway, which had people coming and going all night. I didn't get one hour of sleep for the six hours we needed the hotel. I wish that in the future they will be more considerate of peoples needs when placing them in a room, or manage the other customers better and remind them that it is quiet time after 11, so there shouldn't be yelling and slamming of doors at 3:45 in the morning.

The room was disgusting! There was a layer of sand covering the bottom of the shower, hairs on the toilet seat, stains on the walls. I was afraid to touch anything and I slept on top of the blankets with all my clothes on. To top it all off they charged my credit card for the room AFTER travelocity had paid them and already charged my card themselves. Now 2 months later I still can't get ahold of the hotel manager for a refund, and the people at travelocity have stopped trying.

Stayed in non-smoking room, however the smell and smoke from the other floors drifts into the room through the vents. Ceiling tiles in room were mouldy and crumbling. Ceiling tile over shower was waterlogged but had been painted to cover up stains. Blanket had cigarette burns. No fridge in room, TV was and old 19", windows have no screens so bugs get in. Pop machines require "tokens", and when tokens are purchased, the machines take them and do not dispense drinks. Was listening to "free 5 minute preview" on the "OnCommand" TV music channels, and at the end of the 5 minutes, * was automatically charged to our bill without warning. Local calls are VERY costly. Card reader quit working on our door. When reservation was made, we were pomised a rate of * per night, as we were attending local medical business. Upon arrival, we were suddenly told that in order to receive this rate, we were required to obtain a letter from the hospital confirming that we were actually there on medical business (very inconvienient). Asked for 1 bed but upon arrival were told that we could only have 2 because it was "too much trouble" to change rooms. This hotel is in a GREAT location, and has a LOT of potential if Ramada would just do some work to it !! Will definately not stay here again, anytime soon until some serious changes are made. Unless you like disappointment, this is not the place to stay..... the Best Western down the road is MUCH nicer.

Our first room was horrible! The carpet was full of stains and burn marks. The loveseat in the room was old and ratty. I must say though when I complained about it they did upgrade our room at no extra charge so I would have to say the service was good.

We stayed here for a family wedding. One did not get the booked queen sized bed. The whole hotel is in terrible shape and needs an overhaul from top to bottom. It was raining and the roof leaked.

The staff was nice. The room was a mess, holes in the rug, smoke burns on the floor, made the bed but didn't give out more room supplies. I won't ever go back.

Not much, maybe the price. Run down. It was ranked as a 4 star hotel but was anything but run down, paint peeling off the walls and stains all over the carpets.

The customer service at this hotel was absolutely horrible. They treated us very poorly and they were very confrontational (Nigh audit member, security guard) I would not suggest this hotel to anybody. The rooms were dirty, the location of the hotel is terrible and the staff members know absolutely nothing about customer service and how to keep the paying customers happy!!!!

Beds, bathroom clean Poor air quality, no air conditioning, dusty carpets, broken ice machines. The hotel is falling behind on maintenance. A swimming pool would be nice. This hotel does not rate one star.

Superb location. No microwave or fridge. Spartan, minimal rooms. We absolutely loved the hotel except for the most rudimentary level of our room. The beds were comfortable. I appreciated the internet access. Julie's Bistro in the lobby was excellent in every way.

Great experience. I love the service of the staff and the suite I stayed in was great. I will definitely come back.
