HORRIBLE! They had bed bugs. Hotel didn't smell nice, floor was FILTHY, Bathroom was gross - the tub leaked. There was a nice pool area, but it was infested with huge roaches.

This was a great hotel. The people that work there are so nice and helpful. I was there for a Fort Jackson graduation and I couldn't have picked a better hotel. They had everything there plus everything was close by. I would like to thank everyone that works there for there help getting me from pointA to pointB. It was a wonderful stay and I would love to visit again.

Very accessible from the Interstate, friendly staff, comfortable rooms. All the doors and outside gates slam and clang late into the night. Hotel appears to be undergoing a remodel so many of the shabby things (hallway carpet, stairwells, pool chairs) will probably get attention soon. Also, it would help if the reservationists could ask whether guest prefers 1st or 2nd floor since there is no elevator. Overall the rooms are clean, beds comfortable and staff friendly.

I stay at this Hotel every year in January, this last stay was definitely a better experience than in the past. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Ms. xyz, she is supberb. My room was exceptional, my kids had a great time swimming in the indoor pool, I will definetly be staying here again.

Enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Leaving. Poor lighting in parking lots. Need to have cops and a warning sign at all entrances to warn about the kind of people who hang around there. Not happy at all. I had a plumbing test for SC Plumbing License and was kept awake all night by drunks.

This place looks good online, but once you arrive you know that you've been had. This place must have looked nice 25 years ago but there have been no improvements since then. The basic features that you expect for a hotel do not exisit - none of the exterior door locks work, the place is not clean, and the service is terrible, and everything is dark, dank, and dingy. The actual "guest" room was even worse. I was even afraid to walk in my room in my bare feet. My sheets were nasty, the room had cob webs and dust, not to mention an obvious mold problem judging on the smell, and my phone did not even work so that I could complain. i willnot even attempt to describe the bathroom. NASTY. To say the least I decided to check out early and will never go back. I have never seen a ramada in such a poor state of disrepair. Of course when I checked out I complained about all my problems and, you know it, I got NADA. I feel that the owners of this so called "hotel" should have paid me for staying there.

The first night our window was next to a gate that guests used to enter the hotel. All night long people were in and out and every time that gate opened it woke me up. Many times guests could not get it open the first time and they would bang on it. The next morning I asked to be moved to a different room. we were moved. Also the place was kind of run down. Some company was giving swimming lessons in the pool while we were trying to play. The teacher was a young man that was quite rude. I paid for my room which included a pool. I should not have to deal with a public swimming lesson.

The breakfast menu was very good, the hotel reception staff was friendly. Unfortunately there were not enough towels. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, my daughter was graduating from military at Fort Jackson so the staff was very accommodating with directions and information regarding this major event. They tried very hard to be helpful. The rooms were clean and the hotel was very quiet for the most part.

Lobby was lovely - pass that and I thought I was in a horror movie. Reservations were in wrong name. Booked a smoking room, got a non-smoking. Although, the website stated ""some areas are under contruction"", I was not prepared for half painted walls, trash in the halls. Paint fumes were overpowering! Blanket in room was torn. Saw no security. My dog has stayed in nicer places!

location good ,advertising all lies, never stayed at such a filthy place in my life and im sad to say ramada has a good name but this hotel has not been affiliated with ramada since 2006 according to the ramada corp worldwide so all the ramada stuff that was in my first and 2nd room was all false advertising. called several places got no response. reserved a smoking room missed flight called to say we were coming in late got to hotel no smoking rooms .were told we could move next day ,called everyday untill saturday never got moved cleaningg lady told us she just cleaned a smoking room to get to office before it was given to someone else. stopped at desk on way out to fort jackson base to see my daughter before she flew to texas and waited in line for at least 30 mins while clerk at desk waited on one couple in front of me ,and several guests that came in after me that new the couple inline . finally got upset and asked politley if i could ask one question and then i was not very polite told the guy i would go pay for another motel if he could not get me a smoking room now he said oh no mam we wouldnt want you to do that as he smirked at me gave us a smoking room needless to say the were bare wires and no smoke detecter hooked up no fridge moldy shower curtians and holes in walls washcloths plugging up a leaky sink and air conditioning did not work . have pictures of all and would like a refund on my whole trip plus my sisters and dr bills paid and would appriacite being contacted by someone before i see my lawyer . thank you joy brown

The bed was very comfortable. I didn't like the television, or the programs they had. I liked the hotel accommodations, but some of the front desk people were at times kind of rude to my daughter, but not to me. It was a pleasant place to stay and sleep. Their pillows were excellent.

No elevator.Bathroom tiles cracked, sink slow to drain, poor AC,musty smell, garbage in hallway for days, no outside security.no wash cloths or soap.

had a great time was able to visit with other parents of the graduating soldiers.

Convenience of staying where the meeting was being held. They gave room keys for rooms that were already occupied. I hotel could be very nice if the upkeep of the rooms was better and the staff was more knowledgeable of what was going on.

The bldg is old, but Is being updated. Was expecting - on 2 occassions - packages up front, but was told both times ""nothing"" and clerk didn't bother to look. Had to beg them to ""please look harder""....Found both packages finally. Generally acted like guest were a nuisance. Gave me wrong room at first (someone inside). Then gave me room with non workin deadbolt. Location between 2 major interstates is good, but traffic light can cost you to turn left. Would generally NOT recommend this hotel.

It would have been better if they would have had some type of room services. The restaraunt offered nothing for the guest staying at the hotel. The putt-putt golf course was a joke. But the pool was nice. And the rom was alright.

The play area for the children. The cleanliness of the room and the hotel in general. The telephone was not working in the phone. The indoor pool water was murky. There were broken beer bottles on the recreation room floor. The paint was chipping on the railing in the hallway. The light switch did not work in the room. There was not an alarm clock.

When checking in I was given a smoking room and it smelled like someone had died in it. Also on the second floor with no elevator. Moved to another room and bathroom was not cleaned and then there was a problem with the faucets. Access to the internet was terrible but employee helping with getting access was good. Ice machine was out of service. Hot tub was out of service. The air conditioning half the time did not work effectively. There were two people working the front desk who were very nice and helpful. Two days we did not get maid service all day. They came after 4:30pm one day to do service but we were already back in the room and did not want to leave again to allow them to clean the room. I don't think I will recommend this hotel to anyone. I have stayed at Ramada's prior to this and have never had this type of experience.
Date of Stay:
July, 2007
Nothing. Dirty, dangerous, pool cathouses, sauna bad condition. Would never say in other Ramada inn again.
