The overall trip was good, but the hotel was terrible. The staff was kind and understanding, but the rooms left a lot to be desired.

It was close to the highway. Wet stains, old musty smell, creepy, damp, not very clean.

Well it wasn't too bad but for a Ramadai expected more. The floor in room wasn't clean. The toilet wouldn't flush well had to flush up to 3 time to get it to work, and it leaking somewhere so the floor was always wet in the bathroom. Both pools were closed and dirty and gross. the house keeping lady always came at different hours on the day for check she came before I was really even up at like 9 and check out was at 11. I have stayed in ramada's before and this was the worst one ever.

This was my worst hotel stay ever. I was leading a mission trip and stayed at this hotel via the group who we went through. The rooms were marginal. Out of 7 rooms, 3 had to change during our stay. One bathroom light didnt work, one ceiling was crumbling, and one door latch stopped working. The meals provided for the group were hardly adequate. One room had cash and an ipod taken by maids and I never was able to get a manager to speak to me about the problem. Our lawyer is in the process of contacting the hotel. This hotel does not represent Ramadas standards at all and if it does I will never stay in one again.

The hotel room was neat but not as clean as I would have expected. The pictures shown of the rooms on the website were great but when we arrived to our room the sheetrock was falling off of the ceiling, the wallpaper was peeling, and the room was musty. I asked for another room, but the staff said there weren't any available. With that said, there were only about 30 cars in the parking lot the entire weekend but several rooms we passed by each morning & afternoon going to our room were completely empty. The one time we wanted the staff to clean our room, they didn't even change our sheets!

Worst room I have seen since I was in college at Spring Break. Dirty floors, paint and wall paper peeling. Wife would not shower EVEN WITH HER SHOES ON!DON'T EVER STAY THERE!!!

We did swim a lot in the outdoor pool as we mostly had it to ourselves, but the trash was never picked up and it was pretty dirty. I never saw anyone cleaning it. The indoor pool was closed the whole time and said it was under renovation, although we never saw any work being done. We were quite dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel, as when you walked barefoot, the floor turned you feet black. I don't think it had been vacuumed in a while, and the bathroom was very dirty, and the toilet ran all the time, you had to jiggle the handle. Cleaning staff came very late to bring towels, and empty trash. The "snooze" button on the alarm clock didn't work, and the smoke alarm went off for no good reason. The breakfast bar was alright. All in all, we didn't spend a whole lot of time at the hotel, and I was afraid to let my 3 year old play in the floor, and she found a cookie underneath one of the beds. The staff was very friendly and fast to answer questions, though. I will probably never stay here again.

Staff was extremely helpful. Poorly kept - pool was closed - nasty looking.

The hotel rooms are very old and outdated. We did not have maid service for two days we were there. We had to call because the toilet seat was broken and hanging off the toilet. The air/heat unit ran continuously. It was cold but we had to shut the heat off because it was so hot but then it was so cold. The breakfast buffet was okay but just satisfactory, nothing special. We would NEVER return there.

the airport shuttle didn't run early morning-breakfast was ok-restaurant wasn't open-it was clean and the beds were decent

It was easy to find, and it took care of my basic needs. The pools were both filthy and green, and even though free WIFI was notthere, no internet at all. The staff didn't even know how to use it. This is an older building so it is understandably a little less pleasing to the eyes and not as clean as a newer place. The breakfast was adequate. I had to go find someone from housekeeping to get more towels and a new trash bag. The pools were foul and disgusting. The lack of the promised WIFI made things very inconvenient for me. It was one of the selling points of the motel, and the staff was clueless about it.

the location was convenient to charleston. but, rooms need a makeover. cleaning staff could do a better job. lots of dust, mildew, in the room. carpet felt damp all weekend. pool hours should be adjusted. doesn't open until 10:00 am/closes at 9:00 pm. if you sightsee, can't use the pool because there's no time. no lifeguard, so make the indoor pool open 24 hours?free breakfast was good. ""business center"" had ONE computer, lots of people wanted to use it. not a bad place to stay, but for the money they charge should have offered more. there are better values in the same area.

Located in North Charleston..not a good neighborhood but we knew that. Upon first walking in your hit with the undeniable stench of old wood and mold which was an obvious result of the indoor pool playing havoc against the all wood interior of the lobby/atrium/bar/breakfast area...it's all one big space 5 stories tall. Rooms were tiny and we didn't mind that really but you know how something that's had decades of use is hard to clean up? Thats how the rooms are. You can't clean old...We saw a lady clean a room after someone checked out in literally 2 minutes...Didn't even change the bedding except for the fitted sheet. So we were left to wonder what did we sleep on the night before? Asked for a clean blanket our first night as we were coming in from dinner. Was told it would be 20 mins...Hour and a half later after we had fallen asleep a lady knocks. We dont answer because we are asleep (or was) so she knocks again (all the lights are off by the way). I answer and she wants to give me a BEDSPREAD. The very thing i pitched in the corner the minute i walked in my room. Indoor pool out of service (wasn't going to swim in it anyways), sink stopped up while i was brushing my teeth. Pubic hair and other nasties in the bathroom floor upon my arrival. Nasty shower. Every door on our floor slammed because the closers were worn out. Needless to say we checked out after one night and paid extra for another hotel. Continental breakfast was lacking for being advertised as "full". And the quality of that was definately poor. One particular lady at the counter was very nice though. Only good point. You get what you pay for.

When I reserved my room this hotel was a Clarion, having never been there I couldn't find the hotel(was looking for Clarion sign). The back side is right at an interstate exchange(very noisy). I was finally moved to an interior room and was very pleased. Ask for interior room overlooks the indoor pool, bar and dining area.

I came to Charleston to visit some friends. I stayed at Ramada due to its location since it was right by the interstate. The lobby was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Everyone seemed willing to help. But I was staying in a non-smoking room and smoking was allowed in the hallways - therefore an ashtray was located right outside my room. Also I found many new bug bites each morning.

Beautiful inside. Nice, old motel. Bathroom was nasty. Rusty bathtub and toilet ran entire time. Everything was good, real nice, older but not really. Pool was closed and bathroom was nasty. Rusty bathtub, tub and toilet ran the entire time, when I tried to get a different room, they would only give me a smoking room. So I stayed and just shut the bathroom door. It wasn't terrible for 8 hours, but not a family room. Great motel other than the bathroom.

We only spent time in the room to sleep, and for those purposes, this was good. The hotel is conveniently located off of I-26, and not very far from Downtown Charleston either.

Location. Horrible continental breakfast. Needs to be upgraded/renovated. Needs to hire new cook. Plumbing was obsolete. Tub kept clogging up during showers. Cant flush toilet and shower at same time.
