OMG what a hot mess!!!! This place was awful!!! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!! Ok let us start with the lobby, very nice but very deceiving. They put us in a section of the motel off the main motel. Back in the woods, with abandoned cars that have not been moved in forever. Dark and scary at night. The room was very smelly. We smoke but this was not smoke this was a moldy smell. Then there were the drunken road way workers who were up partying all night. When I got up at 5 am to go to the car a drunk stumbled by my 4 year old and me scaring the living day lights out of me and him. I told the desk manager and they said well you should have called, perhaps they shouldn't have put a family back in the back with a bunch of rowdy road workers!!!. I am 42 years old and I have stayed in many motels/hotels over the years for business and pleasure and by far, this was the WORST MOTEL EVER!!!! Do not stay there if you have a choice.

The indoor pool (nicely heated). New iHOP restaurant very good. Pillows were nice. No towels at pool. Room was lacking enough towels, promised ironing board, sort of run-down. Bed too hard. Hotel itself seemed understaffed. Our room, even though the hotel didn't seem full at all, was not in the best location - relative to the other locations. Had to ask for towels - only had three for our party of four. Had to bother front desk for too many things right off the bat upon arrival. Number was missing from outside of our door. Very dark inside hotel public areas. We were there for a wedding, and in a hurry to get ready when we arrived, so the extra calls to the front desk and running around the hotel looking for items that were supposed to be in our room, already was a little annoying. Front desk person was on her own and juggling many things at once - but remained calm and polite to us at all times.

you get what you pay for. room smelled a little musty. shower works, tv works, and the bed was very comfortable. the "motel" is out of date, not the cleanest, not the quietest, (train close by), trucks leaving early in the am.( alot of guys from out of town, working in asheville stay here). but its still a good deal.

We came for a weekend get-away so we were just looking for something cheap and decent. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was (particularly a ramada). The room (king size bed) was spacious and clean. There was a indoor and outdoor swimming pool, arcade area, indoor fountain/plant area, and plenty of space to lounge. The only complaints we had was that the AC (not central air) is loud when it turns on and if you don't take your 'Do not disturb' sign off by noon, you might not get your room cleaned (and you have to request it). But overall, we weren't expecting it to be so nice and it was a straight shot into downtown Asheville (10min drive).

First of all I would like to say the staff at this motel were awesome. They tried their best to do right in a bad situation. Before arriving, we got turned around and lost. I called the motel and ask for directions and they were givin in a clear and concise manor. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with wide smiles and a very friendly atmosphere. After recieving the key, i proceded to our room. Where I found my key did not work. So I went back to the front desk for help. The young gentleman reprogrammed my key and lead me back to the room to assist. The door seemed to be jammed, so he shoved it with his shoulder and got it to open. Thru the night we were in and out of the room and had touble with the door each time. Later in the evening, after swimming in the pool, which was very nice, we came back to the room, fought with the door, and decided to take a shower. The shower was slow to warm up, so I thought I would let it run awhile. It ran for 15 minutes with no hot water at all. So I called the front desk. The same young man came to check the water and explain to us that what ever it took he would fix it even if he had to move us to another room. But a few minutes later, he came back and told us there was no hot water in the whole motel. The bathroom was also dirty, with dirt in the floor and trash behind the toilet paper. Im sure this was a very nice place when it was new but is in great need of cleaning and a repair or two.

This place was terrible. The outside and lobby were very nice but there were a lot of construction workers, semis, and construction vehicles. Thus, there were prostitutes, and in the morning, back-up beepers sounded very early in the morning, and a construction worker went out on the balcony by our room and talked very loudly on his cell phone. One room had a huge gap between the door and jamb where someone had apparently tried to pry it open. Never again!

Lots of stuff for the kids. Jacuzzi not working, no towels in rooms. Overall was pretty good. Didn't have towels, no internet and no jacuzzi.

Resonable rates considering the location. Clean room. Great I-Hop on site. Childrens play area lacked attractions for kids but my 3 yr old loved the room to run around. Game room a little worn however, all things considered a great economical stay for family visiting the mountains.

Was told that it had just been renevated. Still needed a lot of work done. The staff was very nice and very helpful. Ramada needs to put more money into competent workers and a better design staff...very dated and dreary...needs more light (skylights need to be looked at). Has lots of possibilities but needs a lot of work yet. Enjoyed the IHOP being in the same building.

Great location, friendly staff, great public rooms. Outdoor entrance to rooms. Great location, friendly staff, beautiful fountain and lobby area. Room had microwave, refrigerator and safe. Would have been nicer if room decor were updated and didn't have outside entrance to the room.

Excelent service, very clean, but not to many options for dining, well it doesn,t matter because is 10' from Asheville.

Pool/open area spacious, upgraded very nicely. Doors hard to shut/lock. Overall - good for an old hotel made-over.

Our room appeared partially renovated. tile in the bathroom was not completed near the edges - no grout, crumbled mortar. ants crawling up bathroom wall splatters on wall near toilet and door and mirror to bathroom. Disgusting. cigarette ashes near bed. very dirty carpet. key didn't work, had to go and get it rekeyed had to call for towels, none in room. Truly the worst hotel experience of my life.

Location. Needs repair. Room smelled like mold and faucet drips. Fitness room equipment was in poor shape. Staff was not friendly at all during check-in.

Ramada Biltmore West is very convenient to Asheville locations - immediate access to I40 - just minutes to center of city.

Older hotel with very unique design. Very family friendly. Needs some cosmetic updates. No dining available. Continental breakfast was very minimal. Hotel has a lot of enclosed common area for gathering. Indoor putting green, play area, game room, indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. Room was spacious with small sitting area. Although decor was a bit outdated, facility was unique and comfortable.

The first room we were shown smelled moldy and the lampshade was even torn. They did give us a better room when asked. The bedding and bathroom were good. The main lobby was dark and gloomy. The outside pool was not open. The pool bathrooms and lobby bathrooms were closed for renovation. the breakfasts were good. There was no comfortable lobby seating, just one couch and hard dining chairs.Every surface needed repainting. However, signs of upgrade were shown, so maybe in a while the atmosphere will improve. No problem with staff. The location was good, on a main line into the city. A new I-Hop was attached to the hotel, which was good. Many good points.

Convenient in all aspects. Needs major repairs. This was probably a high quality hotel in its time. Grand open spaces with private alcoves for meetings or family get togethers. Nice indoor pool and kids' play area, fitness room, game room. Our room had a fridge and microwave, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer all the amenities. I needed for a weekend stay and the complimentary breakfast was more than expected.
