Friendly staff, good location, decent facility. Hotel is reasonably clean and well kept. Is located right on the highway coming into town from the north, so is easy to find. It looked like the best facility in town, although a new, larger Hampton Inn is being built down the road. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good hot breakfast with eggs cooked to order, a rarity for this class of hotel.

I had read the previous reviews before I booked and I was not expecting much. When we got there every body was helpful and polite. They had bree food at night if you bought drinks. There was a free breakfast too. The pool was nice we had a great stay.Thanks

We decided on short notice to stay two nights at this hotel. While I am a frequent traveler around the world it has never happend to me that the room was only made up after 5:00PM. But at this place this happened. Our room was cleaned at 5:45PM precisely - not very efficient and little customer friendly. We were touring the Big Bend all day and returned at 3:30PM. No way to shower before 6:00PM...

We chose to stay at the Ramada because of its name...and the fact that there is only one other hotel in all of Alpine. Next time I will rent a cottage somewhere. The bed was the most uncomfortable aspect of my trip and I like a good night sleep in order to enjoy my trip anywhere. the pullout bed was even worse, the mattress fell through the frame, the pillows seemed to be made from other old pillows that were stuffed together. The front desk was very unhelpful when I wanted to send out a letter, not even a stamp to be found.

The breakfast is good. It was dirty and remained dirty - same pieces of debris on the floor. This hotel ranks in the worst five in which we have stayed; we have visited West Texas many times so are aware of commodities. The room (and hallway) was dirty. The door to enter the building was broken and would not lock. The sink would not drain - my husband fixed it. Our window would not shut. Room was not ready when we arrived at 3:30 and we were not given another. Front desk not helpful.
