We were looking for a hotel that had more to offer for everyone and comfort. i had to ask twice in 24 hours for towels that should have been in the room. Trash was emptied but nothing else was done. Dirty coffee pot and no new cups to drink it with. Had to ask for toilet paper! Filthy dirty out side our door to the parking lot.Out side wall was loose from floor and shook when we closed the door!

Room cleanliness. Swimming pool closed. The place looked as if it was under remodeling of some kind. The swimming pool was closed because of some unknown reason. The outside of the entire place was filthy with litter. Would not stay at this place again.

We stayed at the Hitching Post Inn on our way to Yellowstone. The hotel was very nice it had very large rooms, friendly staff, a nice steak house, large swimming pool. We had a very good stay. ( I would highly recommend it.)

Very helpful at the fron dest at checkin and even forgot some items that they had on hand to help with.. Great service wouldn't stay anywhere else in the town even at double the price...

We stayed here for one night while on our way to Portland. We wanted a pool so our daughter could swim. All of the other hotels in the area either didn't have pools or the pools were closed/outside. So for the price difference from other hotels with pools we decided to stay at the Hitching Post. I liked the fact that the pool was actually heated. The other hotels on our trip said they had heated pools but were freezing! The room service was great even though we ordered 2 minutes before closing and they weren't upset about it. They didn't give us any salt or pepper or condiments, so make sure you ask for those types of things. The front desk was very helpful and polite, which is always questionable for me because I am heavily tattooed. The hotels cafe was so-so. The food was very good but when I asked for lemonade they brought me what looked like someones elses drink that had been sitting around for an hour. That was pretty gross. They replace the drink and apologised. The waitress wasn't overly friendly, but acceptable. I read about the history of the place, which is what made it interesting. Our room was huge, like the whole place is.There where stains, like a huge bleach mark in the carpet and one could tell that the place was dated. It was clean and the beds were comfty however, and has been remodeled a little. Hotel had great parking which was a challenge for us in a 26 ft truck with car dolly on this trip. Since the rooms we stayed in were in the back of the property, they might have been newer, so ask for them when you check in.

The front desk staff was rude and very inhospitable. I actually heard one of them yelling at another guest for misplacing his room key! The rooms are unchanged from the 60's or 70's, and have numerous water stains, chiped countertops, etc..... Our rooms heater was leaking red fluid into a plastic cup, and half the lights didn't work in the room. The 2 resturants are mediocre at best and WAY WAY overpriced. 10 for eggs benedict, and over 140 for dinner for 3 in their steakhouse, that Outback would put to shame. Not a good experience.

Unfortunately, the staff at this hotel had not been paid for coming up to four weeks so many of them had quit. The manager and another assistant were doing their best to get rooms clean, and folks with prepaid reservations taken care of. All while the hotel was being remodeled! There was no dining, no coffee in room (and no money to buy any.) Our first room had a heater that was stuck on. Since no maintenance staff was available, we were moved to another room. This room hadn't been cleaned in weeks and was wide open and unlocked. We were moved to another room that someone had cleaned hurriedly. The fitness and pool areas were not available due to lack of staff to actually staff and clean these areas. I would say that the manager and his assistant were extremely kind to us in a difficult situation, but with the prepaid reservation, they couldn't even refund our money. It used to be a lovely hotel, but without a paid staff to run it, it was an awful and unkempt ghost town.

Nothing good to say about this property. Dirty, run down property in a bad area of town. Nothing good to say about the property. It is in a bad area of town, is run down, rooms are not clean, plumbing is bad, all common areas in in state of disrepair. All in all, it is a disaster.

The rooms were fairly large and convenient. The air conditioning didn't work and there were no towels. I have never complained about a hotel, but then this is the first time I have purchased two rooms and neither of them had one towel. The front desk said they would bring them right up and never did. We contacted them several times and even went to the front desk. The air conditioner did not work in one of the rooms. Other than these complaints, the rooms were fine.

The room was large, beds were comfortable and it had a nice pool. The Ramada Hitching Post Inn in Cheyenne, WY, has a lot of potential. It has plenty of room, large, comfortable rooms and common areas and a charming history.

It was a big, old motel. The AC did not work and we sweltered all night. I entered the lobby, approached the counter and was initially ignored by two sets of staff. Each was working on a computer and the first set sent me on to the second set who then stated he couldn't stop what he was doing. I had to ask who would check me in before the first set gave in and put her work aside to check the customer (me)in. We found the room to be old but okay. We went to bed and set the AC to 68 degrees as instructed by the sign next to the thermostat. About two hours later my wife and I were both feeling sweaty so I checked the AC and found it was pushing heated, not cooled air into our room. I turned it off and left just the fan to run. A couple of hours later the room was very warm and I got up and opened both doors to let cooler air into the room. After about 10 minutes I closed the doors and returned to bed. By morning, and after the worst night's sleep that either of us could remember, we got up, got dressed and left the hotel. I stopped at the front desk and told them what had happened and suggested they did not rent that room again until they fix the problem with the AC. The young man at the desk wrote down what I had said and offered an apology. I believed that we should be issued a refund for that night's stay since we did not receive the service or facility that we paid for. I have used Priceline frequently in the past and have generally been pleased with the services we purchased.

It was very easy to find, and not far from the highway. Rooms were unkept, mechanically unsound and just gross! This hotel was a sad disappointment for the star level I selected. I would not even be happy at the lowest star level with a hotel of this caliber. Our room had old pizza in the fridge, a climate control unit that did not work, and we lost power some time in the night. The hotel staff was very nice, but completely unhelpful and unqualified to be doing the job. This hotel needed to be sold and closed to prevent future injuries!
