Good ValueStayed one night when there were no exhibitions on at NEC so very quiet, may explain why it was such good value. Breakfast was ok but overpriced. Rooms modern, clean and comfortable but far from 'cosy'. TV reception was poor in room.

very helpfulThis hotel was not very busy, perhaps as it is a little further from the airport, and none of the taxi drivers seemed to know about it, but it is only a five minute walk, and the hotel staff were exceptionally helpful, and the kids all loved their overnight stay. Thanks.

Good quality at a decent priceThe hotel is only five minutes walk from Birmingham Airport railway station. Unfortunately this route is not marked in the corridor leading into the NEC, so I did a half-hour walk before reaching the hotel! The receptionist was genuinely welcoming ahd helpful and made no fuss about checking me in early. Room was excellent - huge shower cabinet, comfortable double bed, plasma TV, working space, and views of bunnies romping out of the window! Very quiet - I wouldn;t have known I was halfway between an airport and a main road. Vegetarian choices a bit limited (and not much more choice in the airport), but excellent VFM buffet breakfast. Superb rail links into Birmingham city centre.

Rabbit ViewI was very impressed by the Ramada hotel situated close to the NEC. My room was fresh and clean, large, well lit with an intelligent use of space. The furniture and design had slightly Swedish feel, but fitted the style of the room. A little 'nouvelle cuisine' perhaps for some people. It was great having a phone with free national calls of up to an hour and free internet access. The room incorporated a desk area with an office style chair. the view looked out on a garden area with a population of very well fed rabbits.The bar and restaurant area was open and relaxed, with excellent service both at breakfast and for evening meals. The food although not complex was well cooked and presented and at reasonable prices. The beer was cold and not over expensive. Staff were helpful at all stages of my stay. One of my better hotel experiences.

The Ramada Encore is very new and perhaps a little clinical in appearance in the bar area particularly. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful, everywhere was spotlessly clean, breakfast was decent and the bed comfortable. The proximity of Birmingham International Station was also a bonus. Although the room could perhaps have been a little bigger I would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending others to do so.

Hotel was clean and well maintained, it still had a very new feel to it. There was no one on the Reception desk when i arrived to check in at approx 5pm, which i found unusual, but within about 10 minutes someone arrived. The room was spacious and quiet.

Ideal for NEC shows This hotel only opened in Feb 2009 so all the fixtures and fittings are new, fresh and contempoary. The room was clean and bright with a big walk-in shower. It is an easy walk to the NEC so ideal if staying for a show or event.The food is fine although a rather limited menu. Breakfast was excellent value because it was all freshly cooked and there was a wide variety. I had breakfast both days and skipped lunch.

Good for a stopoverModern hotel with spacious if minamilist rooms (laminate wood floors, no wardrobe - just hooks - no drawers). Free broadband a plus. Looks like an office block from the outside (I drove past it twice). Food is pricey but no worse then other hotels though choice is lacking if you're there for more than one night. Bargain for the money.

Clean adn noisyI arrived after dinner just to sleep the night.This is a new hotel but the noise insulation is not very good. I was on the road side of the hotel and it felt like the windows were wide open even though they were closed.Appart from that everything else was fabulous.
