It was very warm the night I stayed here. I made the mistake of ordering food in the bar which was swarming with flies. This was because the bar is not air conditioned and the doors were wide open. The hot breakfast bar was truly awful. Everything was overcooked, the fryed eggs were like bullets they had been sitting so long. There was no sign of management anywhere so the staff just got on with things.

I shouldn't moan because i was warnedThe room was ok with basic tea/coffee facilities. Bathroom door lock was splintered.Spa bath was out of action and the pool full of kids so unfortunately that bit if relaxation didn't last long. The restaurant was closed for some reason and meals only possible in the bar so long as i didn't mind sitting outside or stood up at the bar.Took room service in the end which was reluctantly accepted by the kitchen..... It arrived lukewarm and the steak overdone.

Ramada Jarvis BoltonA very disappointing stay which I made known to the Hotel. Room phone out of order, reported and someone was going to come and look at it - never did.Room service food was cold and nothing to write home about. Chicken breast in a burger bun (no butter) cold chips and a small salad cost £12.50. The hotel did deduct this from the bill but I would rather have had a decent meal.Drunken guests returned to the room next door at 4.20am to continue their party until 5am. They had room service delivered and it must have been clear then that they were causing a disturbance. As my phone did not work I couldn't contact reception. Apparently someone had moved this person on having found him asleep in the corridor. I appreciate it is difficult when someone as selfish as this stays but the hotel still has a responsibility to other guests.Complaint at Reception next morning dealt with concern and the Manager was going to email me about it. However, 4 days on and no contact.

good value for moneyWe have stayed at this hotel before and found it to be good value for money as a 2 night deal through late rooms. This time we found our room a little small but comfortable & clean, unfortunately there was noise from the generator and traffic (as quite a busy road) so if we stayed again we would ask for a room at the rear of the hotel (overlooking the car park) We did not have a evening meal at the hotel so cannot comment on this. We did have breakfast on both mornings and was a little disappointed with the quality this time. The food on display had been kept warm for some time so had dried out also items were not replenished very quickly & some items which were shown on the breakfast menu were not available at all.

Excellent stayEven though there was a wedding on that night, I wasn't disturbed at all. The hotel is about 15 miles from Manchester, but access is very easy. Staff were pleasant, and facilities excellent.

Not GoodThe hotel tried to charge me a higher price than the price booked through laterooms. Reception couldn't resolve this and niether did the duty manager - I'm still waiting to hear from them - no sense of customer service. The room was shabby - damaged paintwork etc. Poor value for money - why charge for WiFi in 2009? The service at breakfast was disorganised - had to wait for food, cold plates, and coffee brought but no cups.

Very dated rooms and poor service. Central heating had failed and was off for both nights of my stay, with no apologies or offers of assistance/refunds. Restaurant was also closed and only bar-food was available. Terrible - would not recommend.

The water to the wash basin was not very hot and the shower head was flopping around but I managed to fix it to have a decent shower. The shower area of the bath had black 'mould' spots. The carpets looked a little tired. The bedroom was good, the health club very good and the location and car parking was very good for my purposes.

We booked this hotel through laterooms & got a good rate for a 2 night stay so was excellent value for money. In general we were very satisfied with the accommodation although we think the rooms could do with some refurbishment also the bathroom, whilst being clean, could also do with being refurbished & the shower was lacking in power. The hotel staff were excellent, friendly & helpful. We ate breakfast in the hotel as this was included in our package , this was excellent & the breakfast staff were very friendly & efficient. We managed to use the hotel's swimming pool & jucuzzi whilst we were there & this was very good, clean & warm. We would definately use the hotel again providing we got a good deal through laterooms as don't think would pay the full rate.

Room was reasonable for the price. Got the impression that this was a cheaper room as the bathroom was quite old and worn out. Room was too hot. It wasn't a particularly hot day, it's just there was no ventilation or air con. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I paid £69 for a double room which i thought was the going rate these days. Normally the rooms are £150. I would think that those rooms would be a lot more modern. If i paid £150 for this room i would be very dissapointed.

I was given a room on the top floor furthest from reception. after carrying my laptop and work files to the other side of the hotel I found my key card did'nt work. Not impressed! The food was over priced for the quality. I found other peoples hairs in the bathroom, the mattress was very uncomfortable and the beer was a little warm. Finally my bill was shocking, my bar meals became room service, there was 3 entries later deleted, and when I asked for a correct bill to present to my company they added someone elses meal on it. I got it corrected then left.
