The Premier Choice Among Hollywood Beach Hotels in Greater Ft. Lauderdale of South Florida The Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort Hotel is a beachfront historical hotel in Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Beach -- also referred as the Grand Lady, built in 1925 by the world renown Rubish and Hunter architects similar to the Mediterranenean Revival Style popularized by Adison Mizner , the society architect of the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach and the famed Biltmore Hotel located in Miami, Florida. It sits right on Hollywood Beach, a family-friendly award-winning beach with a newly renovated "http://ramadahbr.com/local">Broadwalk. The Broadwalk features more than two miles of auto-free walking, biking and rollerblading with a beautiful view of sparkling tropical water. "http://ramadahbr.com/dining">Shops, cafes, and restaurants line the Broadwalk. Hollywood, Florida is a great destination for fun in the sun! "http://www.ramadahbr.com/img/lobby.jpg" The historic Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort Hotel is located 15 minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport (FLL). Nestled midway between the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami Beaches, the Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort is a 15 minute drive to Port Everglades Cruise Port, and is only 30 minutes from the famous Art Deco District in Miamis South Beach. http://www.omalleysoceanpub.com/events.html The Ramada Hollywood Beach Hotel, in the Greater Ft. Lauderdale area is becoming one of the most prestigious of the Greater Ft. Lauderdale hotels. The Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort has begun its historic restoration project. Started in September 2008 and the first phase has completed the first $2.5 million of our total $ 20 million historic renovations. This phase incorporated new hallways that include new doors, soffets, antique decorative lighting, paint, a beautiful patterned carpet and a historic photo gallery located on each floor. The lobby also received antique tin ceiling tiles and 1920's period furniture and decorative lighting. The second phase, planned to begin September 1st 2009 December 15th 2009, includes restoring the architectural features, returning to the Mediterranean Revival style made popular by Addison Mizner, the society architect of Palm Beach. We are also planning to install new hurricane impact windows and paint the entire building. We will vacate the portions of the building under renovation to minimize disturbance to our valued guests. I wanted to leave 5 minutes after I checked in. I was so dissapointed! Staff was mean and they seem do not care about guest. Parking fee was ridiculous!!!! (15$ a day). I am not happy at all. I wouldn't stay here again. Danielle-Ohio

This is a good place for a family who wants to spend much of their time swimming. Being close to the pool and beach is a neat experience. The hotel didn't appear to be as fancy as expected. Our first room was dirty and the carpet had not been vacuumed for awhile. The door didn't even lock. After telling the front desk, we were given a room that was much nicer/cleaner. The air conditioner didn't work that great though. When it's 95 degrees outside you hope to come inside to a cool room. We couldn't keep our room cool--it stayed around 73 degrees(not bad, just not comfortable-want to get ALL that I paid for) the whole time even though we had it set much lower. For the most part, the people/staff were very nice and respectful. We had a good time.

The location on boardwalk right at the ocean. It was great to walk daily. The first room I got was entirely too small, the one we moved to only slightly larger. The staff really work hard to be friendly and accommodating. The renovation that many complained about seems to be complete. There was nice carpet throughout. The room I was first given was really small, but clean. Upon request, I was moved to a slightly larger room. However, there was a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishes, etc. so for a few days it worked. There is still a lot of charm to this hotel. The hotel's restaurant/bar - is a fun place where you can watch your special games on TV or just gaze out at the ocean. Good for informal dining. Try the Alligator tail appetizer! The morning continental buffet featured complimentary fresh pastry, toast, bagels/cream cheese, muffins coffee, juice, fruit, oatmeal, and grits.

On the original booking we booked 1 room with 2 double beds,on Orbitz the rooms looked to be a good size, the resort appeared clean, beautiful entrance, everything you would expect from a 3 and a half star resort,we paid an additional $10 each for breakfast per day, which didn't sound to bad so we booked the tickets and thought great. Let me tell you The hotel was nothing as it appeared on Orbitz,The entrance was horrilale, dirty dark and not a very warm feeling of comfort, the room was very small, with one double bed, full kitchen,a safe deposit box which was next to the bed so if you got up at nite you would deffenetly bump into it that's how close, the bathroom was small no ventelaion and very dark, and there was no closet.I went to ask for what I booked on Orbitz and was told all the rooms were the same they don't have rooms with out kitchens and that a bigger room is an additional $30. We up greated to the bigger room & were told by the young lady who checked us in that all the rooms are the same. She didn't care about anything we had to say. A gentel man was working with her that day and he told her to put us in a bigger room, all the rooms we were told are equiped with full kitchens Refrigeratore,4 burner stove/oven,Microwave,pots, plates ect... I aked to speak to the hotel manager and was told he wasn't there I ask what time will he return and was told he went to give his kid a ride. I ask that he call us I left my cell # and he never called 4 nights 5 days the man didn't call us. Room service was bad!The 2nd day we left the room about 10am and returned at 4:45 as I started to take a shower house keeping pounded on th door she asked to clean the room I ask her to wait 5 min to get out of the shower and she said she can't wait she finishes at 5pm house keeping didn't service the room. Breakfast consists of cold cerial and oatmeal, cookies toast and danish.Eggs & omlettes are $5.95 extra each person per day,the staff was not so friendly and they had no service it's self s

This is a beautiful old hotel, with oldstyle charm. It is in partial renovation now, but it was hardly noticeable. It will be wonderful when it is done. Our room was great! Roomy, clean, and styled nicely. Having to pay Eighteen dollars a day to park, VALET, was a surprise, we didn't pay that much at the Hard Rock. There were no other parking accomodations, and the hotel did not list in advance the fee. The outside restaraunt was good. Great Drinks! Except for the parking, and having to pay for an umbrella, cushions at the pool, everything was lovely.

Hotel is situated in a most convenient and scenic area of the city. The room was extremely small; bathroom fixtures were not clean and well-kept; bed was uncomfortable. The hotel is located in a MOST FANTASTIC spot but the bathroom fixtures (floor, medicine cabinet, and bathtub) were unclean.

Loved the location, right on the beach with restaurents in walking distance. Perfect if you are not interested in sitting in your room. The room itself was small with tiles, definitely needs to be updated but it was clean. nice staff and definitely recommend the hotel shuttle vs a taxi. i got hooked on a big taxi bill from the airport.

The front desk staff tried to help as much as possible. Old, dirty, smelly, and in a bad neighborhood as beachfront hotels go. Not a place I would ever go back to.

Some of the staff wasn't "incredibly friendly" but other than that the hotel is fine. The location is awesome, and it has lost of bars, restaurants and shops around.

The location and proximity to the beach is incredible. One of the 2 rooms we stayed in desperately needs to be updated. Best value for the money. I would definitely stay here again.
