Public areas and room fine. Room on the small side but perfectly adequate and clean. Hallways and stairs (no lift) a bit dowdy. £75 with no breakfast - I guess thats London for you.

Room was good and spacious however parking is very limited. Creaky floorboards next door but otherwise no complaints. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

Boutique, yes.... but not all that....The upstairs communal areas were tatty and as a person traveling on business, in a single room I had the smallest room I have ever stayed in with a tiny little TV. It was Ok.... but I have stayed in new Premier Inns for literally half the price and got twice the room and facilities. Downstairs was very plush looking and I suspect that this would make a good venue for a wedding.... and the wedding party that was there during my stay seemed to enjoy themselves. Better for leisure and not very accommodating for the business traveller, at least they weren't with me.

1 Nights stay in the RaglanMyself and my girlfriend stayed here for one night and were pleasantly surprised. First of all we managed to find a parking space directly opposite the hotel free of charge (hotel parking is available I think for a charge). The public areas (reception, bar, etc) of the hotel were very nice and the staff were very courteous and helpful. After checking in we went up to the room and started get a little worried on the way as the corridors are a bit dated, etc, but this worry proved to be unfounded as the room was very nicely decorated, modern and most importantly CLEAN. With regards to the area of Muswell Hill, as this was our first visit to London we had no idea as to what the area was like, but we found the area to be very nice with some nice shops and a good vibe. All in all a very nice, affordable hotel and a really pleasant area. Would certainly stay here again.

averagei would say the room was average. Had the single room at the top of the stairs. Bathroom was ok. they thought it would a good idea to put two single bed sheets at act as a duvet cover. It didnt work. pillows were ok, looked a bit dirty, but didnt want to check. TV had limited channels. Having 2 channels doesnt make it satilite. Not worth the money

The hotel had been well renovated downstairs and looked great but upstairs rooms were tiny, floors permanently creaked and standard was poor.

Just about adequateWe needed a room for one night in the area and it was just about adequate. The room was small but clean- the shower room was minute and the shower could not be made to run to temperature - very often getting scalded or frozen

good valueWe were pleased with our reception at the Raglan, straightforward registration, polite, quick and helpful. The room was quite small but adequate for our needs. It was clean and in good repair(shower leaked slightly). The staff were friendly. It seemed a shame to charge extra for breakfast...but there was no problem finding alternative breakfasts in Muswell Hill. It was close to the Broadway and ideal for our purpose.

Over night stay The bed was comfortable. The linen and duvet was the right weight and very clean. The service and staff were very pleasant. Good breakfast self-help arrangements. The bacon and eggs were good. However, all accompaniments (mushrooms, hash browns, sausages etc were quite cold. There was a good deal of noise at 0530 - staff or guests?Overall a pleasant stay. Thank you.

Good value for areaHotel is in a good location for Muswell Hill, which is probably about 15-20 minutes walk from East Finchley tube station. Accommodation was fine, clean and well proportioned. The only issue I would have is that the sound proofing from the door wasn't too good - people outside the room could be clearly heard talking and walking past. Its a minor issue and I suppose it depends on how well you sleep anyway!

Good value for money HotelI was pleasently surprised with this Hotel, it was modern, as clean as the 4* I stayed in the week before and the staff were friendly. Our room was small but had enough room for the two of us and had all of the essential facilities, the beds were comfortable and we had sufficient pillows and bedding. My only gripes would be that there was no full length mirror in the room (essential when a girl want to look her best), although the staff were friendly they did not go out of their way and it was much further from the Tube station (Finchly East) than we were led to believe from the directions on the website. The website said 5 minutes, but did not state whether that was walking or by Bus/Taxi. It took my friend and I at least 15 minutes to walk there and we are both fit young women. Having said that there was a Bus stop 3-4 minutes walk from the Hotel which we found to be very useful. There was also a number of restaurants near to the Hotel (we highly recommend the tapas restaurant). To sumarise, this Hotel was great value for money if you need to stay in North London and I would stay there again.

not my best night's sleep but not bad.I read horrendous reviews of this hotel before my trip which left me extremely nervous, but I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe it depended on what room you had, but ours was great. There was plenty of room and it was quite luxurious. We only stayed one night but there was good storage to unpack clothes for a weekend.A few complaints, such as the power in the shower was almost non-existent - it was like having a shower in the rain so not great for washing your hair. Quicker to have a bath. Also the heating was on full blast when we arrived - and it was the beginning of May! That's a complete waste of money and energy, and we had to keep the window open all night to cool the room down. Some people have complained about the staircase and lack of lift - we were up 2 short flights of stairs and it's not that bad. Of course it would have been trouble if we were disabled or had to carry heavy things. Both the floors and staircases are very creaky, and they actually woke me several times in the night (I am a very light sleeper). We only had breakfast in the hotel. Shame it's not included in the price as it is quite a charge on top of the already expensive room, but a breakfast price typical of London. The actual cooked breakfast wasn't great - although you order from a waitress it is not cooked fresh, and the sausages weren't very nice. The continental breakfast is good, with croissants, pastries, fruit, cereals, toast, juice and hot drinks. The hotel is within easy reach of bus and tube stations - we went to East Finchley because we knew we could catch a bus to the hotel. It isn't close to central London so if that's where you're headed this isn't the place for you. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops.Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel looks nice, and the hairdryer was powerful which is rare in a hotel! It is over-priced, and although the luxurious but unnecessary touches like the decor and posh tv were nice, I feel they ar

Raglan Hotel is just OKLaterooms price was £75 per room only. At the lsit price of £130, this would have been poor value for money. As it was, this price compared well withh typical Premier Inn/Travel Lodge. The reception area, bar and restaurant are flashy but the bar is deserted at night. I didn't have the continental breakfast at £6.50ish. No lift to the 3rd floor. Rooms seemed refurbished but the double I had for single occupancy was very cramped. Only a shower. Radiator didn't work.On checking out, I got a bill for an 'extra night' which came form nowhere. I'd paid upfront for two nights and a further night had been added; oon sorted however. Muswell Hill is very good for eating venues - to suit every taste' as they say. Overall OK but disappointing given the website info.

The single room was a bit on the small side but very pleasant. Staff were slow to appear but gave excellent service when they arrived. Hotel seems expensive in comparison to the rest of the country but was the cheapest I could find in the area - it doesn't feel like value for money but you won't get anything I'd call value for money in that part of London.

Horrendous car parking issues eventually resolved by staff, cold small room, very noisy from other residents until turned 4.00amWould not stay here again

The Raglan hotel has recently been refurbished so is very clean and modern looking. The single room booked was very small with just a bed, wall mounted flatscreen TV, side table and single wardrobe; okay for a night or two but wouldnt want to spend much time in the room. The en-suite bathroom was of ample size with a large shower (no bath). There were no tea making facilities in the room upon arrival, but reception provided a kettle when requested. Breakfast was great value for money. There is not a lot of available parking but thats to be expected in London, however, the hotel is very close to the centre of Muswell Hill so great for bus and tube links. A great price for London accomodation!
