Mucho ruido proviniente del pasillo y otras habitaciones. El televisor muy pequeño y el mando a distancia fallaba.

Good value at restuarant for dinner. Exercise room was small and limited. Nice hotel modern decor, good reasonable restaurant. Quiet room even on the busy street. Hotel staff was pleasant but not helpful. Could not even tell me the weather forecast for day as was raining in morning. They also had little knowledge of area, not that there was much around.

Hotel was quiet. 10 to 15 minute walk to closest subway.

Room was spacious, clean, and looked newly decorated. Location. It was too long of a walk to the nearest Metro station. The staff was polite and the room was incredibly spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The buffet breakfast was excellent. It was overall a great hotel, but one that I will probably not stay at again due to the inconvenient location.

Good A/C, comfortable room. Ahike from the metro, not a convenient/safe location. Comfortable enough for business travelers, but not at all convenient for tourists. Walk to subway was far too long, and neighborhood surrounding hotel wasn't nice.

Location to train station. No ice provided and hard to find at bar. Good for the price as long as you do not pay the rack rate.

Convenient to train station. Higher charge during week for business travelers. We stayed the first weekend night at a reasonable price. Included free internet.

Decor. Location slightly out of the way, but not too bad. Nice hotel, nice decor, clean rooms, good staff. Would recommend.

It was not in a fun area and it was noisy. The noise came from the hotel it self not from the outside. When doors closed it sounded loud!

Free internet in room. Noisy. Hardwood floors in room and thin walls. Maids were extremely noisy early in the morning in room next door. Thin walls and hardwood floors helped to make it worse, slamming doors, furniture, loud talking and laughing with co-workers in hallway. Hotel is also poorly located for someone in city to sightsee. Must take taxi or walk several blocks to nearest subway.

Recently renovated and very clean. The room was very simple: a desk, a bed, two end tables and a small TV. The phone didn't have instructions for room service or the front desk - it was a guessing game. The bed was sturdy but cheap, I would have expected something more but I slept great. Everything was very clean and the bathroom was nice with marble everywhere. All in all a fine stay, but not worth the cost.

Very clean room and bathroom. Did not offer any frills, basic hotel with bed and bathroom. Nothing unexpected. Rafael Hotels Atocha is a very clean and comfortable hotel, footsteps from the famous Atocha train station in Madrid. Close to more than 4 metro stops, the hotel is in a great location to access all parts of Madrid or hop a train for excursions to other Spanish cities. The hotel requires key-card access in the late night hours which adds to the security of the hotel. The hotel is good at the basics - clean room and nice bathroom.

Cheap. The rooms were disgustingly smoke filled and the renovated rooms. This place is not worth the savings. All the rooms are smoking and reek of smoke. The beds, the sheets, the curtains all were disgusting. The room we stayed in hadn't been changed since probably 1985. The location is over a mile from anything and you have to walk through a very unsafe section of the city that is not well lit to get anywhere.

Friendly and helpful staff. Isolated area. Nice, clean and Spartan. Ok for person seeking quiet time after busy day.
