Radisson sas birminghamWhen we arrived we were told we would have to leave a Â£50 deposit on top of the price for the room to cover telephone and Internet use, ss we had no extra funds available we were very dissapointed with this and cancelled, we then went to another hotel where we paid Â£20 less for room and no Â£50 charge.

Good StayThe hotel is clean and comfortable even if the room we stayed in was some what colourful. We did not eat in the hotel but had a couple of drinks in the bar which was pleasant and reasonably priced. The staff both at check in and check out were friendly and access was provided to the NCP car park at the rear at his suggestion. The hotel is very close to the Bull Ring shopping centre which was excellent on Sunday but for Saturday night it was further away from the bars and restaurants than we would have liked. The other minor downside is the lack of its own car park but overall an excellent stay.

Great value for a great hotelEasy to find. Reasonably priced NCP parking next door (Â£14 for 24hrs). Speedy check in - even though there was a queue. I requested a quiet room and thats exactly what I got. Well stocked room. Fantastic service throughout my stay. I dined at Filini's with a group - again, great experience though a little expensive. Can't fault this hotel - all for Â£69 a night (w/o breakfast). Brilliant!!

Room was to a high standard but was not well maintained and was generally grubby. Carpet was heavily stained and ceiling badly marked from coke cans. Its a shame the hortel is not being better maintained.

Just the jobQuick, courteous checking in. Decent room convenient for city centre and parking.Good shower and heated patch in bathroom mirror (one of my petty foibles, nothing worse that trying to clear a mirror in a steamy bathroom).Check out equally quick and painless.This place does what it says on the box, a clean room and efficient staff.

Guest ReviewQuite a comfortable hotel with good ambience. However, there is always one thing missing from the room. This time it was the iron and the last time the Tv was not working. Room service / housekeeping very slow which is annoying.

Good value hotelGood value room in the centre of town - 5mins walk from new street station - quiet location considering so central. Friendly reception staff.Minor downs: Asked for a double but was given two twin beds pushed together. Would be better if this was made clear beforehand. Shame about the chiller - it's touch sensitive so we couldn't put a bottle of wine in there if we'd wanted to without getting charged for taking drinks - we drank red so all was fine though.

SewageA beautiful hotel overlooking birmingham. The system had crashed when II went to book in, only waited 10 mins, then got booked into 1117. The room was lovely and clean, only complaint when the hand basin taps were turned on, the bathroom smelt like a sewage plant. Apart from that everything else was excellent.

Excellent StayFrom the moment we arrived we recieved very warm welcome combined with great efficiency at checkin. The rooms were immaculate and the location couldn't have been better. Overall a fantastic place to stay, check that breakfast is included in your room rate otherwise it's £15 per head, however the quality of breakfast is excellent

Pleasant StayWe booked the rooms via the website \"Late Rooms\" and got ourselves a really good bargain. We arrrived at 5.30pm and we did not have to wait to be seen.The rooms was large, bright and airy and the bed was huge and very comfy.A negative was has to be a lack of brochures regarding the services the offered like the health spa, and gym. There was nothing in the room to indicate this or advise the opening hours.We also didn't stay for breakfast as again there were no prices in the room.On the whole we enjoying our stay and went to a fantastic restaurant in the Mailbox called BAr Epernay, the staff was fab and the food was lovely.

location,location,locationI had very specific plans for what I wanted to achieve in Birmingham. Had never visited the city before so dumb to geographical status of shops,services,transport links,tourist attractions and speed of getting from hotel to motorway and vice versa.Absolute dream. I expected to spend a lot of time feeling lost. No such thing. Shopkeepers so exceptionally helpful,hotel staff absolutely perfect,absolute value for money,even as a last minute booking.

Very PoorI have stayed in a few Radisson's recently and this was very poor to say the least:1/. The king bed was two singles pushed together with single mattresses AND duvets.2/. Had to wait for 15 mins to check in despite there being more staff in reception than guests.3. Asked for coffee and toast to be delivered to the room; when it eventually was, after 3 phone calls it was cold and coffee was spilt all over the tray...

Rock on RadissonIf you want a business type looking hotel it's great. However if your looking for a romantic type hotel I'd go try the Malmaison in the Mail box. We were disappointed though that having requested a double room, we were given a twin. I'm sure we could have asked to change, but we were in a hurry to get to a function.

Ideal for a city breakI have stayed here twice, once with a friend, once with my partner. On both occasions i ahve booked here for the convienice of the city center location for shopping and nightlife. The hotel is lovely, and rooms have all features for a comfortable stay. The only gripe i do have is that housekeeping seem to rush and although usually i am not too fussy but it seemed as though no attention to detail had been cared for and things seemed out of place. Overall clean and conformtable stay.

A very nice stayRoom was spacious and the quality was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.Location is good for town centre but the immediate sourounding area is not that impressive.Only slight quibble would be that I booked a double room, but we were given two single beds pushed together. But to be honest this did not bother me very much. There was no danger of falling between the cracks!
