My only issue concerning this hotel was the daily charge for valet. I didn't have a issue with the charge but I should have been informed of this charge at the beginning of the stay and not at checkout.
Date of Stay:
June, 2009
Open gym use. No breakfast, noTV video game, noTV internet, need more coffee in room. The room was clean and the beds where OK, I expected to have the controlled beds,TV video game and internet and a free breakfast so I was a little disappointed otherwise it was OK.

this was a beautiful hotel. lobby, shops, fitness center, pool, all luxury items. however, the sound barriers in the rooms are horrible. I heard every person go by my room all night, heard everthing they said. the next night was better because the hotel was not as full. if you get a room, get it at the END of the hallway, a walk for you, but it will be guiet. nice staff, nice, but small rooms. good beds, linens, towels.

The pros... It is a nice hotel Very well located in the downtown area. Easy to find Close to train and bus station if needed Close to museum Close to movie theater Good restaurants close to hotel and in hotel Good commercial areas nearby The cons... No parking included No breakfast included TV channels quality (reception) is bad Room service food was not the best

This was my first visit to the Radisson Plaza while visiting Kalamazoo although I have dined at the hotel in the past (Webster's, very nice). Location in downtown was excellent as there was access to several restaurants (try Singapore Grill for local beer and seafood) and a wonderful coffee shop (Water Street coffee) within walking distance. My room looked over the air conditioning units and did not have the sleep number beds. I will request on the next visit. Overall, the room was satisfactory without being plush. Bed comfortable. Furniture a little plain and worn. Clean. I did not spend much time in the hotel but plan to stay again because of the location. Parking was easy.

Elegant hotel near city center with activities and restaurants. The parking garage is an additional fee and not very convenient. Excellent choice for travelers visiting Western Michigan. Beautiful facility with friendly staff convenient location to downtown activities and restaurants.

I have stayed here often, and have been happy. this time i picked the most expensive room i could find, and it turned out to be the size and quality of something like a Motel 6. there were even dirty dishes under the bed. the bathroom was not large enough for a tub and toilet, the closet was small, and there was barely enough room for two. it was the worst hotel experience i've ever had. far from worth the 250 for one night. in fairness, management did offer to move me..to a smoking room. And i did manage to get an "i'm sorry" from one of the front desk people. I was expecting something like a Westin, or a Ritz-Carlton. Instead, I got a dorm room.

Location, pool, bedding and room decor. Bathroom wasvery small. The location was excellent, the common areas were very attractive. The room decor was nice and the beds and bedding were very comfortable.

Stayed at the Radisson in downtown Kalamazoo for 1 night to visit the Bell's Brewery. It was an easy 3 block walk to the brewery. Staff at the hotel was accommodating, friendly and provided good service. Hotel room was spacious and clean. The exercise facility, pool and hot tub were excellent!

Since this hotel was redone a few years ago it's become the nicest hotel in SW Michigan. Really nice decor. I wanted to deflate the Sleep Number bed and take it home with me! Lots of dining choices nearby in a revitalized downtown area. Great health club in building.

The pool area and the restaurants in the hotel were excellent. The rooms were very small.

WhenI arrivedI was very happy. I enjoyed the hotel, it was alive and very spacious and beautifully with many people walking around enjoying it with lounges and little shops from being in the room to walking around, it was fun.

Pillows. It was ok. I think it was over-rated and the staff wasn't that nice. You have to pay for parking and the staff are way more snooty than they should be for an average hotel.

Wonderful fitness facility. Lounge chairs in the room not very comfortable. Great downtown Kalamazoo location with good shops and dining options.

Location was excellent. Prices for dining were above average for location/convenience. This was a great place to stay, near the downtown waterway, and presented a great place to go out and take a mid day walk. History of the area is evident in the architecture around the hotel, however the hotel was up to date. LAN lines, not wireless is my main complaint.

The pool and the beds. Being charged for parking even though it was only $2. I always find it strange when hotels charge you to park when you're paying to stay there. The Radisson is in downtown Kalamazoo. The hotel itself is nice with attached restaurants and multiple shops. The fitness center and pool are very well done. We had the sleep number beds which were comfortable. The room was clean and extremely quiet. The location is good for general purposes, but not for walking around. There's not much else in the surrounding area within walking distance to dine. You must drive a few miles down the road to find the bulk of the stores and restaurants. At least in the summer, the downtown area is very ghost town like on the weekends. We really enjoyed our stay because the hotel is very nice. The staff was extremely friendly.

I liked the location right downtown and close to some pedestrian shopping. The hotel was clean and the amenities were great. There are a lot of hidden gems in the hotel like the beautiful aquarium that seems to be hidden in the basement. Staff was friendly and courteous and parking was very accessible.
