I can overlook the uncomfortable beds, chipped tiles in the bathroom, peeling wallpaper, loud air conditioner etc. but MOLD in the bathroom is unthinkable. Luckily neither of us has an allergy to it. Besides the above mentioned annoyances, there was no coffee at the breakfast bar in the morning, the room doors slammed shut with such force we thought there was someone coming into our room all night long. We travel frequently and usually stay at Hampton Inn's and comparable hotels. We found this hotel to be worse than any other we have visited in a very long time. We will not be returning.

The Hotel staff were very nice and friendly. The room was very spacious. The bed were the best in any hotel I have been in. It was worth the value. I didn't eat at the hotel but the roomservice menu looked good. You have resturant very near by. It is also close the mall, movie theater and both interstates. I highly recommend this hotel for singles or group, with and without children.

Do NOT stay here for New Years Eve! We tried and it was a NIGHTMARE. It started with some rowdy teens partying hard a few rooms down. Calling the front desk did nothing to help that. Before you think I'm a boring stiff, let me add that we were awakened at 1:30 by a lot of commotion. I went out of our room to find the entire hotel awake because of a fight. I called 911 and a lot of policeman showed up. When I went to check on the fight, one of the teens from the room down the hall ran past me and yelled, "underage drinking, the police", and ran back into her room. When I told the police, they said it was "outside their jurisdiction" to check on this because it was private property. Huh? I guess I can't call them if someone breaks into my private home? It took a long time for that to settle down. An hour later, we woke up to a fire alarm. I went out to check on this new problem. There were rumors of fires so we all got dressed. The firemen came but there was no fire only an alarm that woke up our 2 small children. Turns out it was a prank. With the hour or so left in the night, the teens down the hall (which exceeded room number limits) made a ton of noise. There was chaos everywhere and no control or concern from the staff. This could have been dealt with earlier when I complained about the teens. The rooms were outdated (for the price), not clean and the Heater was LOUD! Avoid at all costs! And check in advance to see if your hotel of choice has a New Year's policy (Staybridge does!).

The staff was very friendly. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to I-85 and I-26. The room was very large with the number beds so they were very comforable. The look of the hotel was outstanding with the bar and pool at the loby. Plus you are located near resturants and shopping. I will be back.

Conveniently located. The facilities were old and not well maintained. This places is nice to look at on the outside, but once inside you will find that it is old, stinky, and our sheets were even dirty. Not classy, but survivable. I've seen worse, but there is definitely a lot better.

Every Christmas we visit family in the Spartanburg area. We have stayed at this hotel for the past 3 years. The 1st & 2nd yr they had free breakfast buffet - nice! In '05 they had the buffet for an additional cost...not worth the money. We just went next door to Cracker Barrel for breakfast and will probably stay at this hotel again in '06.

Overall my stay was great. The value and the hotel as a whole was above expected. I did order room service and it was however, a bit of a disappointment. I ordered the Salmon and it was so overcooked I could not eat it and I had to wait over an hour before it was delivered. Once I received my dinner they had not included flatwear so I had to call down and wait for them to deliver some before I could eat. Everyone was very friendly and the bed and room were very comfortable. I would tell others to stay but I would not advise the room service.

We stopped on our way to Myrtle Beach. The room was very clean and comfortable. Service by the hotel staff was excellent.

We had a nice room, cleaner than most. It was a bit noisy. Our ice machine, which was very close was out of order. I had to get on the elevator, go down a floor, down a long hall to get ice. Overall, it was pretty nice. I liked the extra vanity and sink. I wish the lighting had been better there, though

"This hotel was very nice, especially for the price! I had to travel to SC for an emergency. I didn't expect much. The staff was pretty friendly (except for one lady:) and helped me with directions. I would stay again. It was nice by surprise; which was a nice surprise!"

The bed was very uncomfortable to me. I did not know until later that I could adjusted the mattress firmness. This information could have been more effectively relayed. Everything else, especially room size and amenities were satisfactory.
