The Radisson was in a great location to view the nightly feeding of the bats. Also great for the 4th of July fireworks, could not see from the room, but a very short walk outside to the Congress Bridge. Only 1 Restaurant onsite and the parking was very expensive. Otherwise was very pleased.

Our hotel room was extremely small and needed to be updated... There was a push-pin holding the wallpaper in place behind the toilet. I wouldn't have been happy paying over $** for the room. The worst part was when we looked out the window... the building of TGI Fridays blocked our entire view so if you stay in this hotel I recommend calling and telling them you don't want the rooms blocked by the restaurant! The good thing about this hotel is the location, it only took a couple of minutes to walk to 6th street.

I had the worst experience I've ever had at any hotel at this one. I booked my brother and his new wife a suite the night of their wedding and my other brother booked a couple of rooms for us and some friends. First, they confused our reservations. Heaven forbid two people with like last names make reservations for the same night. Second, while checking in I asked the woman at the front desk if they validated for parking and handed her my parking ticket, in the confusion of their screwing up our reservations she never gave it back to me. When I remembered it later and went down to pick it up, instead of giving me back my original ticket, they gave me a "Guest Parking Pass" and charged my bill 15 extra. I argued that it would have been nice to be warned about such a high parking price when making the reservation and they simply said one should expect it downtown. The next day, when leaving, my brothers who arrived at the same time paid half as much for parking using their original tickets. I got charged twice as much because I bothered to let the Radisson staff know I was their customer than if I had been some random person off the street using their garage. I've called to complain and request a credit 3 times and have been thoroughly brushed off by the staff. I have a list of other complaints (room was freezing, ice machine didn't work, soda machine didn't work), but this was the one that crossed the line. Do not stay here! Service is horrible!!

Spent time on 5th and 6th street, celebrating a friend's birthday and another ones last weekend as a single man. Had a blast and the hotel was in a prime location.

Hotel is in a great location on the lake downtown. The room was nice but the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. One note: Parking is not free for guests. If you drive add $ on to the cost of your room when comparing hotel rates. Starbucks in the lobby is a nice touch.

The place is NOT a first-class hotel. there was cola (I hope) covering the bedroom walls, the mini-bar was empty and pulled out into the middle of the room because it did not fit under the bar. There were no remotes to either of the very old 26" TV's, and when I called to tell the front desk that there were none, the clerk said, "Well, did you ask for one?" Please, do not waste your money. This place is a very expensive rip-off....no wonder they make you pay in advance with no refunds allowed...

Best feature elevators & Starbucks in the lobby.Worst feature TJIFridays hotel eating place?? Good waiters poor poor food quality, stay away from buffets- omlet chef lacks experience you cant get an omlet buffet is not stocked most of the time even when there is a lack of customers, after eating there brealfast is the worst I have seen in many years. Dinner: I had a brisket sandwich flavor removed with both the sandwich and the aujus, serice again was good french fries were cold soggy and white. A trained chef is needed desperatly

I was only there for one night, but would have stayed longer. The lobby was very nice, with a Starbucks and TGI Friday's on-site. The room was spacious, spotless and attractive with a "Sleep Number" bed. The coffee/vanity area was a a little cramped, but workable. (Don't forget to turn off the coffee pot--no auto shut-off.) The "lakeside view" was a bit disappointing standing the window looking down, as there was the roof of lower floors below. However, the entire wall was a window and the lake was quite visible beyond that and nice. The location is great, if you have business or pleasure plans for anywhere downtown. And the hotel is located next to the "Bat" bridge on Congress. The pool is on a deck overlooking the bridge and the lake. A nice place to stay.

We have needed a hotel 3 times in Austin and the last 2 were at the Radisson. The location is great, the parking is convenient and they just seen to want to go out of thier way to see to it that your stay is a good one.

Excellent staff, never had a problem. Someone always asking if we needed anything. Shopping was great, watched the Congress street Bats, LBJ Library and lots more.

We had stay at this location before. This a great location but, we did found bugs in the room. We call the manager he came up to the room and remove the bugs.When we checkout no one from the manager group would talk to us about the problem in the room.

The Radisson Austin was comfortable and well located near the warehouse district,the river and downtown. Restraunts and bars were within pleasant walking distance. The sleep comfort beds were a welcome change and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Starbucks and TGIFridays are located in the lobby of the hotel. I would recommend the Radisson to anyone who is visiting Austin.

Centrally located in Austin,Texas. If attending Austin City Limits Festival, a rental car is not needed and 6th Street is a short walk away. Nice view overlooking the lake one block away from Austin's famous Bat Cave.

we were please at our arrival to find the bat festival was only a hop skip and jump away. we were in luck. the kids were very excited to see the mass amount of atheletes participating in the triatholon.My 4 yr. old woke up looked out the window and a huge grin covered her face when she saw all the cyclist. we loved going down to the lake and taking a long walk while listening who was crossing the finish line as well. fridays by the pool was also a great perk as well as starbucks.

Traveled from Virginia to Austin, Texas along a northern route through Arkansas and back through New Orleans. We stayed at a variety of hotels. Nine bucks for internet, fifteen/day for parking and construction downtown all this and no free goodies in the morning for breakfast. Starbucks coffee store or Friday's. Skip them and walk to Jo's around the corner. At check-in, around 4 pm after driving around the block three or four time we ran the barricade to the hotel. (City of Austins fault) After voicing displeasure with that, we were givin a free parking pass, but room reserved weren't ready. Wait in the lobby and we will get you soon. Clerk got of work and left without checking on us. For watching the bats fly from the Congress St. bridge it has a great location, if you have a river facing room. Could probably do better somewhere else,unless you like Sleep Number beds. PS. This Radisson was much better than the one in downtown Norfolk Va.
