This hotel is in downtown Rapid City but still quiet and a short walk to a choice of excellent restaurants and activities. Our room was very clean and nicely appointed with sleep number beds. Both the hotel restaurant and snack/gift shop were extremely good. The hotel had free internet service with three computers which was very handy. We liked the central location to visit all the tourist attractions from the Black Hills to the Badlands. Downtown Rapid City is very interesting with full scale bronzes of the US presidents on every street corner which are extremely well done.

Very nice, seemed upscale. Pool under construction. Hotel was nice and clean. My sleep number bed was broken, but would have been nice.

This hotel is a nice place to stay if you need to make sure you wake up early. A train goes by every morning at 5am. It is loud and lasts for 5 minutes. There is no chance to sleep in and enjoy the great Sleep Number Bed. The restaurant is amazing but very expensive. The staff is average to below average. Just didn't seem to care either way.

Shuttle Service-had to ask, should have been informed upon CheckIn and even when making reservations, Concert Event at the Civic Center which was 4 blocks away. The rooms were clean but had enough space for Refrigerator, Microwave for the price it should have been included. There was no Country Music Channel available on TV (13 channels availble only MTV) Having a hot Tub might be a a draw. though. You should present your amenities when people are making their reservations and not expect them to ask what is available. No business cards availble or COMMENT CARDS which is why this is online.

My stay here was very comfortable. However, for having the label Radisson I found some minor maintenance issues. The mirrored closet door came falling down just about on top of me as I tried to close it. Also, the bath tub drain was so slow it would fill up with water as showering.

Price; Location; sleepbed; ease of check-in/check-out. Street noise; guest noise; cracked closet mirror. I would have liked to check my E-mail, but there was only one public-use computer station and I was not able to stand there and wait.

Waken on 10/24/08 at 5:10 AM by very loud train whistle and again at 6:10 by another train whistle. Came back to hotel at 12:00 PM to find that room was not cleaned. Asked maids, they said we do the check outs first. They were going to do our room next. Checked back at 1:30, then 2:30 still were not done. Food was expensive, drinks ok. Room doors still had the round door knobs.

Upraded on arrival. Everyone friendly. Hotel's Enigma Restaurant was far superior to others we tried. Sleep number beds very comfortable. A treat!

Decent location, near local restaurants and close to the freeway. I did not like the beds, lack of wireless, no working pool. I got to this hotel with high hopes, Had always good experience with Radisson hotels. Checking in went quickly, though finding parking places was a bit of a hassle. When we got to our room it was an older, dingy, worn down hotel room. It was fairly clean, but it just looked used. The ceilings were only about 7 feet high in the bathroom, and only 8 feet in the rest of the room. The room did not even have available wireless internet connection, I had to go down to the front desk to get a cable. The bathroom was very small, you had to figure out a way to contort yourself around the toilet just to close the door. The sleep number beds are horrible, glorified air beds. On top of all that, after driving 600 miles I was looking forward to a nice hot tub and workout, but the pool/spa area was closed for renovations. Nice, would have been nice to have been warned about that in advance. Also, the windows or walls must be very thin, because you hear every car driving by outside, and we were on the 5th floor! The one train that passed by (less than 100 yards from the hotel) was extremely loud, obviously. Cars, trains, sirens, made for uncomfortable sleeping conditions. All in all, I was very displeased with this stay at a Radisson. On the other hand, every employee I dealt with was very polite and attentive to my needs.

Had I know about the staff, I would not have stayed. Very cold and impersonable staff. Not very helpful and certainly did not want to be there. Room was average, but the excersise room was in need of repair. Very disappointed in hotel especially for the price I paid!

Rapid City, South Dakota is a not your usual tourist destination. Those who come are here to see the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, or the Badlands. That means most will go thru the city to stay near these destinations. When I had to stay overnight due to a death in the family, I had some trepidation about staying in the city - after all, the best places to stay are all by the tourist spots. The Radisson was a pleasant surprise! I arrived almost at midnight. We took an airport shuttle into town, since the hotel informed me that their shuttle stopped running at midnight. But when we arrived, the driver informed me that the hotel would pick up the cost of the ride! The staff was pleasant, and had my room keys waiting for me. The room was nothing spectacular, but still up to Radisson's standards. While there was only one choice for dining in the hotel, the portions were excellent, the prices reasonable, and the wait staff very friendly. Overall, an excellent experience> I'll probably never stay there again, since I'd normally stay with relatives, but I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler, esp business travelers.

Am a elite level Gold Points Plus Member and have never had a worse experience. Staff was extremely rude. Rooms were very poorly maintained. Hotel needs to do some renovation and training of thier staff. Had an issue with my Internet, which is my lifeline while away on business, and was told too bad by some kid claiming to be a manager! Tried to call to speak with someone else and they wouldn't get anyone else. Checked out a 3 days early and went to their competition, much better I might add.

Location, and the lobby was very attractive. I would have expected it to be more quiet, more roomy, and have a refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was very small. Great location, and very pleased. Not bad if you are only looking for a place to stay overnight, but would not have been comfortable for a lengthy stay or one for a family.

Not bad for as many tourists visit Rapid City in the summer. The hotel is centrally located - very easy to find all of my business appointments. Being right on Main St. I was in walking distance of great dining, entertainment, and attractions. The staff is very efficient and cordial - check-in took 30 seconds. The room was very nice with new Sleep Number beds and a good work area. The Enigma restaurant serves great food. I will definitely stay there again.

The price. Decor only half updated, very noisy in the middle of the night, both from street traffic and other guests in the hallways.
