This was a nice hotel and the end of a main road in old Cancun. We had no trouble parking our rental car and, if we didn't bring kids, it would have been a reasonable walk to the center of town (but was a bit too far and hot at the end of May for our 3 year old to walk). The facility was clean and nice and spacious--a delight. The continental breakfast was very good, but they told me it wasn't included (despite what Cheap Tickets advertised). I'd highly recommend this hotel if you want to be in old Cancun. It even has a kids playground in the back! (But we got hit up by the concierge for timeshare sales, FYI).

Away from the crazy area of Cancun, good local safe neighborhood. If you're like me and have to pass through Cancun but want to stay away from what some locals refer to as Gringolandia, then this hotel is a great option. It's in a nice, quiet local neighborhood where we were able to walk to an a local plaza on a Sunday evening and grab dinner and hear some live music, in the company of locals. It was far enough away from the tourist madness but still in a nice, safe neighborhood and close to the road so that we headed out the next morning for Merida. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were great.

At night, you are easy to hear the sound from hall way and next door. The sound proofing is very bed.

Just needed a cheap place for a quick get-away to the airport and this filled the bill. We were pleasantly surprised to get this much hotel for so little money in Cancun so close to the hotel strip.

This hotel was great for the price. It was about 15-30 minutes from the hotel zone (where all of the cool bars and clubs are), depending on where you are going. Great breakfast, lunch buffets, and many good restaurants in the area. The pool and gym were very nice as well. I would definitely recommend staying here.

good location (near Cancun central bus station), service not bad, my only major complaint is it can be noisy in hallways (people slam their doors, which need to be pulled tight to lock but you can do this without slamming),[...]

The pool and lounging are is gorgeous and spotless. The hotel staffis friendly and helpful. Shower had great pressure! Pillows were hard, sheets and blankets cheap. Balcony over a parking lot. It is a very clean hotel with wonderful staff. My room was a disappointment, as the bed, pillows, sheets, and blanket were of poor quality. Also, my balcony over-looked a parking lot. I´m sure they could have put me in a nicer room, as the hotel was practically empty due to the recent swine flu scare. It´s a bit of a hike from the heart of the town, but I always felt safe. The pool and lounging area is peaceful, spotless, and a real treat!

The Hotel is beautiful and unique looking. Loved it with a tropical feel and marble everywhere. The food is extremely expensive the breakfast buffet is almost 17.00 each the buffet is OK but not worth 17.00 even for a cup of coffee. It is better to order a pitcher of coffee for your room. The room was comfortable and very clean. The room service was impecable. I hated having the "not timeshare sellers in the lobby" The timeshare sellers are "legitimate" hotel employees and will take up lots of your time before you figure out they are NOT hospitality specialist but timeshare sellers. I did not check into an expensive hotel $* per night to be attacked by timeshare or "not timeshare" sellers. We had prepaid for the room and had to upgrade from a 2 double bed room with no view to a king with an ocean view. We did it with a Credit Card ($25) more per night but they did a "hold on the credit card for $500) I did not like having a hold on my account when I paid cash for everything. We did get the hold removed from our account on the last day. They were good about that. The spa was very nice and the staff was very nice but the hot tub looked like it had seen more beautful days in the past and the spa treatments were a bit pricy. The pool was the most gorgeous thing I had seen the water was wonderful and the tile was the most beautiful blue I had seen like a saphire. The beach was right there and very pretty but not good for swimming.

Our stay at the Raddisson was disapointing to say the least, the AC was marginal and it was too hot to sleep well, The hotel was extrememly noisly, doors slamming till 3 am and then all the workers with constuction in the hotel and service starting at 8 am. The bell boys were slamming luggange and talking loud at 7am on Sunday am. Beds were like boards. Lack of english with room service every morning.

It would have been nice to have had more time to spend in this lovely hotel. We stayed only over night between a bus trip from Merida and a bus to the airport. We wanted to find a church in the area and the staff was very accomodating. The pool area was relaxing and inviting. The grounds, building, and room were clean and well cared for.

Good price. Poor location. Once you are actually in the hotel it was okay. The surrounding area and the location was terrible. I would not stay here again.

I stayed in the Radisson Hacienda for three nights in October 2008 for business. It is downtown-no need to take taxis as there are restaurants, shops, etc. right outside. Buses also stop outside the hotel. The room had a TV with cable, fridge, coffee maker, work desk and wired internet access. There was also iron and board and a digital safe. There was a tiny enclosed "patio" but no fresh air balcony. The bathroom had robes and towels (but were not luxurious by any means), hairdryer and standard guest amenities, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shaving kit. Room service was prompt, filling, and reasonablely priced. Dinner in the restaurant was also fine. There is a small lobby bar, that seemed to always have a small crowd. The reception and restaurant were pleasant. I would recomned this hotel to business travelers and travelers on a budget who want to go exploring the area and not sit by the pool all day. I was called on the second evening of my stay asking if I had received my "Welcome Package" (ie. timeshare pitch). When I said I had not, the woman on the phone asked when my husband and I would like to come down and pick it up. When I told her I was traveling alone she said the welcome package is just for couples and hung up. I also saw her also offer the welcome package to a German couple in the lobby. When they told her they were German she said the welcome package is not for Germmans.

On the last day the air went out and the water had to be turn off and there was a smell of mildew.Clothing at Walmart was small need some improvement.

The hotel is nothing special, affordable, convenient location if you need to be in downtown Cancun. Place is older and a little beat up. Staff is nice but does not offer too much.

The pool is the best feature. Expensive phone calls; miles from beach & shopping. Holiday Inn was much better. Sparsely decorated rooms, miles from the beach, disappointing.

My best friend and I came here. The staff is AMAZING, they made our stay so comfortable. The only downfalls are the showers the pressure isn't the best, and the hot water isn't very good either. The location can sometimes be a problem, cause its not in the ""hotel zone"" However, it isn't a big problem getting into the zone.. For an overnight layover etc. its PERFECT, as well as students who are on budget. I would definately stay here again. However, next time I visit cancun I will be staying in the zone.. Note to all guests, take the bus, taxi's rip you off!! :) Overall great staff, and rooms.

The Radisson Cancun was not what I expected. The location was an inconvienence. For the price I paid, I expected a little more. The rooms had mold in the bathrooms and the beds were as hard as a rock. We tried to switch rooms, but they were all the same. The pool, tennis court and grounds keeping was very nice, but I would have rather had a comfortable bed.

The Cancun Radisson Hacienda is located next to downtown Cancun within an easy walk of public transportation, restaurants, night life, shopping. We swam at different beaches every day or used the hotel pool. the Hotel has a shuttle service to the public beach on the strip. The room was clean and the service excellent.
