Overall the quality was fine compared to the others in the area. However the other hotels in the area did offer free breakfast which is a perk that the Radisson does not offer. Im not too sure if my sleep number bed worked properly, however it was still comfortable. I was too tired to call for help. If you have trouble ask for a demonstration. Please dont forget your toothpaste! Its not that they don't offer free sample packs its just that I am still waiting on it. They forgot to bring it to me. But no worries its just an elevator ride away. And one more important note for the red eye travelers the free shuttle service does not start until after 5am. So book a later flight if you can. I learned the hard way.

The lobby was beautiful. The sleep number beds were annoying. This hotel was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel was large and the layout was a bit confusing, we arrived late, were very tired and had some difficulty finding our rooms.

THe staff is very accommodating.f OUr first night's room smelled like smoke and one side of the touch number bed did not work. THe next morning, they moved us immediately. We did eat at the restaurant and we split the bone in ribeye steak. Not a lot of flavor for the price and the accomanying vegetables were overcooked. The hotel was quiet enough, but if you stay here, get the suites as they are much more updated than the regular rooms. also, I am not a fan of the touch number beds...they are just not comfortable

Had confirmed reservation for 2 queen sized sleep number beds in a non-smoking room.Arrived and received a king sized regular bed in a room that had obiviously been a smoking room.Requested a change of room and again it had a king bed, ( this time it was a sleep number bed) at the extreme end of another building. The front desk was not pleasant about moving us, and left us to fend for ourselves as to the location of the new room...this is a huge place! We had reserved months ahead, and had received a discount which amounted to about 10.Usually when you stay there you will receive 2 coupons for breakfast each day that you are there. Since we got a discount we only received one per day. How cheap can you get. If you get a good rate they get it back in another fashion.DON'T BOTHER WITH THE RADISSON...there are a TON OF BETTER HOTELS IN COLUMBIA

Sleep number bed with lots of good pillows, great showers with plenty of pressure, even on the top floor. Excellent breakfast buffet, and great maid service.

The room was very nice, although I am not a fan of sleep number beds. The food is great in the local restaurant and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. No complaints at this time. I would highly recommend this hotel to any person traveling in the Columbia, SC area. If I have to travel in the area again, I would undoubtedly, try and book at this hotel again.

I reallylove the location, right off the Interstate and not in traffic lime other hotels that are in the perimeter of Columbia. Very quick checkin-chackout, very professional staff, and very accommodating to business travelers. The bathrooms were large and I was able to actually soak in the tub after a long time in the car. It is the same price as Holiday Inn Express and I defintely choose this hotel over H.I.E.

I would like to begin by saying I have been a member of Cheaptickets for over 10 years. However, this is the first time I have used Cheaptickets for hotel accommodations and it will be my very LAST. (see below) I arrived at the Radisson Hotel (Columbia, SC) around 4pm on May 8th; I did not realize that when you make a reservation with a booking company the hotel gives their customers the worst/undesirable rooms. When I arrived at my room, it did not have a/any WIDOWS. The room was in the middle of a HALLWAY, so you had foot traffic flowing on both sides of the bedroom. In addition, the rooms on the first floor are reserved for people with pets. Needless to say, in my room there were insects flying around. When I complained I was told the only room available was a smoking room (I do not smoke). Also I requested a king size bedroom and was given a double bed. The hotel had a Karate Convention going on so there were hundreds of children. Some of the children were allowed to run about the hotel unsupervised. At 11:30pm, I called the office to say that kids were running up and down the hallway yelling and talking loudly. It took management a couple of hours to respond to me and other guest complaining about the children playing in the hallways. I can honestly say I will never stay at a Radisson hotel again and I don't like being given sub-standard rooms for accommodations. Because I did not make the reservation with the hotel directly, the service desk lacked interest regarding very basic concerns. This will never happen to me again it was awful. Also, while in the hotel restaurant i saw roaches crawling on the floor in the Bar area. At first glance the hotel looks clean but not really (I'll spare those details.) Also keep in mind this hotel is a conference center so it does not feel like a hotel more like a mall.

Sleep number bed and great water pressure. Ican't say that, there wasnothing thatI did not like. We didn't arrive until around 2:30 am and there was no hesitation checking us in. The personnel was very courteous and professional. We greatly enjoyed the sleep number beds and would love to return in the future.

On November 12-14, 2006, my family and I stayed at this hotel. The first pleasant experience was the wonderful treatment received at the registration desk. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The facility was clean and well maintained. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Columbia area.

The staff was very helpful and inviting. The hotel lobby was very nice and clean, truly professional setting. Location was not ideal for a meeting at Fort Jackson, but I chose a decent hotel over a closer location to the base. This seemed to be the best recognized hotel for value within striking distance. It was not perfect. The beds were great. However, the room's thermostat didn't maintain the lower setting and produced these loud bursts of cool air for a few minutes and then shut off. The room would warm up before the system would kick on again. It was noisy. As was the high pressure toilet. The restaurant in the lobby turned out to be the highlight of our stay. The late dinner menu had a good variety and the food was excellent. A buffet breakfast was also very good. Service was excellent. Not a lot of guests. It's a great value for the price.

The Radisson Columbia is phenomenal. From the staff to the room to the dining fare, everything was great. Upon walking to the hotel, aesthetically, it was beautiful. The lobby was upgraded and tastefull decorated in a beautiful, contemporary style. I had a very late check in (7:00 pm) but it was smooth and friendly. My room was on the 3rd floor; I took a glass elevator to my room, a king suite with sleep number bed. My room's front door overlooked the lobby; the architecture was great. A flat-screen tv, contemporary, updated furnishings, a leather ottoman, clean-lined couch, two end tables with silver lamps, a beautiful dining table with track lighting over it, and kitchenette area that led into the sleeping area. Even the bathroom was a surprise; it looked like something out of a magazine. I could tell there was a lot of thought put into the room. Even the pictures on the wall were contemporary and complemented the decorum. I ordered room service and it came quickly. The food was great; it was well plated, delicious, and hot. I had to check out early and it went smoothly. There was another person at the desk and he was just as friendly as the woman who checked me in. If you want to stay somewhere comfortable and enjoyable that is a bit more upscale, pay the extra and stay at the Radisson. It was worth every penny.

Loved the sleep number bed and pillows. Clean room! Did not like the fact that I only had 40 channels. Any channel above 40 was not included in cable. Lovely hotel located right off of route 20. Conveinent to restaurants and gas stations. Staff is very friendly and cordial. Room is cozy with great sleeping accommodations. Shower is roomy with a lot of hot water. Complimentry coffee and water. Maid stocked items daily and cleaned room throughly. Only problem was that the television only had 40 channels which did not include some of your cable favorites.

It exceeded my expectations for quality. The Starbucks bakery was a big plus! There was only one trash can in the room. My wife and I were pleased with our weekend stay here. It was quiet, and the rooms were kept well up to date with decor and amenities. The lobby was nice with a large sitting area, bar, and restaurant close by. I would not hesitate to stay at the Radisson again.
