It was very close to the interstate. I did not like the hardwood floors or contemporary amenities. Just not into that. I did not like the overall appearance of the room. It was contemporary - style on a budget. The room was small with large furniture and the bathroom was all glass. Also, we asked for a hour extend at check-out and they would not allow it.

I read a review from a traveler from Feb. 2008, questioning if this was a roach motel. I hoped that this was just a bad experience for her. The hotel was going through renovations and I hoped this problem would be fixed. I'm sad to report that the roaches are still a problem. When I arrived there was a dead roach in the hallway and in the morning I awoke to a live one in my bathroom. When I reported it to the front desk they seemed less than concerned. The hotel looks great overall but I did not spend $*a night to sleep at a roach motel.

We arrived on the night of the hotels grand opening. Best beds i have ever slept in at a hotel. Would definately stay again, except i was not happy with the per pet per night charge. This was not explained to me when I checked in and I did not notice this when I mady my reservations. We have two small dogs and had to pay twice as much as the lady down the hall with a Golden Retriever.

Very comfortable and clean! Close to the interstate. Some highway noise. Very comfortable and clean. My first stay in a Red Lion Hotel and I was very satisfied.

The hotel was a little difficult to find at night but, well worth the stay. The beds were extremely comfortable. The room was clean and the shower was awesome!

I loved the appearance. Michael at the front desk was extremely helpful and room was excellent. The sign to the hotel was not visible enough because the hotel is behind another hotel.

This hotel is great! Loved the decor of the lobby and the room. My side of the bed was great but my husbands side was very creaky. It was very easy to get to the stadium and back. I would definitely stay here again.

Took our LSU freshman to orientation. The hotel was very close and easy to keep out of traffic gettting to and from the campus. The unusual interior design was charming and the students loved it. Even the hallways have character. The bathroom was spacious and the unique sink and the walkin shower were worth the whole price! Can't even tell you how comfortable and luxurious the beds were. Continental breakfast was fine, hostess very nice. The front desk staff was so friendly and accomodating. We have a minimum of 4 years of visits to Baton Rouge and this will be our hotel of choice every time.

The room was smaller than I expected, and I think all travelers who use a debit card will be unhappy with the daily charge they insist on assessing. I thought the hotel was very average, and the first hotel that did not seem worthy of the cost. The bar was seemingly never open, I received an extra charge for a continental breakfast, was not complimentary, and the hotel sundry shop was a joke.

This hotel is being remodeled and is very modern, clean and nice. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was extra nice (shower massage, jets, etc). The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free breakfast and wireless internet. The hotel is in a great location, very close to LSU and right next to the interstate I-10. The only downside was that the pool was not yet finished (still remodeling). I would recommend this hotel highly and would gladly stay there again.

Awesome shower, comfy bed, top notch customer service. Parking lot was confusing to get into. Wife loved Bath & Body Works products in the bathroom. Very well done remodel. One of the better stays we have had.

We were on a college visit to LSU. So far as I could tell, this is about as close as any hotel to the campus - an easy 2-3 mi drive. This is a re-habbed hotel that opened in November 2007. Everything is, therefore, new and fresh. The dining room and lounge were not yet open in March 2008, but we weren't likely to have eaten or imbibed there anyway. The breakfast was standard but satisfactory. The rooms were small but comfortable and the beds were excellent. The showers were extremely nice - walk-ins, not tub combos. I would definitely stay there again but one piece of advice - this hotel is right by Interstate 10 so you might want to specify (if you can) a room on the side facing away from the highway.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the shower was great, the beds were comfortable. This hotel exceeded my expectations. When we got there we were a little apprehensive because the outside design was a little unusual, but the staff was very accommodating and put us in a room on the first floor close to the door going out to the parking lot. The room was nice and the shower was great - lots of shower heads! Everything was clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed our stay, even if it was just one night.

The public areas are nothing unusual but when you open the door to your room there is quite a surprise. The rooms are very modern, comfortable and lovely. The decor is quite unusual for a hotel. The bathroom was all glass and chrome and quite large. The shower was very big and had jets all up one wall with an additional hand-held piece. The bed was high and comfortable. The room was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Room were very nice. Smell, whirlpool not working. Hotel was OK. It was a quality inn before being taken over by Red lion. They were trying to make the hotel a little more upscale, but some things still looked like a 2 star hotel.

Loved the shower, despite the fact the water piles up to you ankles before going down the drain. The address listed sends one to the hotel across the freeway. Staff are not apparently uptodate with who is in the rooms, because on 3 occassions, people tried to enter my room. Huge brown roaches were running about the room, and I killed one on purpose and left it for house keeping to see...the manager did not even apolagise for it.

Bed was great and room was nice. Overall the hotel was very comfortable. The front desk was very nice, helpful and professional. Additionally, the AC was very loud, which at times was very disturbing. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the hardwood floors. I will enjoy returning to this hotel.
