The first day we were there, it took us hours to get settled because we booked a non-smoking room and received a smoking one that was under repairs. It took several hours for that to be corrected. The hotel was our base while we visited other parts of the country. The trip was wonderful and the hotel treated us really good. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly and hospitable. Except for the first day, all went well.

Lots of amenities, everything you need, from food to exercise equipment, to computer room - is there! One of the doors to the lobby was extremely difficult to open, quite a pain when your hands are full. Hotel is loaded with amenities and is very easy to be a home away from home. Value is decent and I would stay there again.

Overall I we were very happy with our stay. The room was very clean, The air conditioner kept us pleasantly cool and the pool was clean an kept up well. The only problem I had was with the Dining room. We had the buffet breakfast at about it was acceptable but not a big selection to choose from. We had the Mexican buffet Saturday night, maybe it's just because I am a greedy American but, that was not a buffet and for per person and were thoroughly disappointed. Their version of Mexican food was a poor version and very different than what I am used to. Again the food was acceptable but my husband and I thought we should have paid more like per person for that meal. Eat out at the local establishments if you want to try something new, you will also spend probably less than 1/2 of what the Radisson will charge you. If you plan to use the gym there are plenty of clean towels and filtered drinking water available. We pland to deifinitely stay at the Radisson again. It really is the nicest hotel in Belize City. If you want to be in a more "Tourist" atmosphere go to the Cayes. If you like the "local" feel of a vacation, this is the place to be. Everyone at the hotel was very accomodating and the locals were very friendly and eager to take us where ever we desired. Don't forget to get the Key Lime pie at the cafe.. really good and cheap! Enjoy!

You can definitely find a better deal than the Radison. The staff was not accommodating and the hotel was under construction. I would recommend staying at a local hotel, don't stay here simply for the name. The food is overpriced and not a large selection. The French cafe was really nice- stop by here for a cinnamon roll even if you don't stay at the hotel. Also, they have Lemonade soda in the hotel gift shop for only $1 US- it's excellent!

The first room was fine water view, clean, in main building. Second stay room in annex building, not like the first room. From what I saw in Belize city, this was the best place to stay for non budget tourists. It is the nicest place in the neighborhood. The staff was friendly and the service mostly good. One dining mishap. Comparable to a Holiday Inn or Sheraton in the States. Not close to a Hilton or Hyatt. A bit pricey but the nicest place in town. In a town of few options.

Nice room. Ocean view obstructed by a fence. Mini-bar not fully stocked but front desk was helpful with that. Great giftshop. Comfortable room but over-priced for the value.

The Radisson St. George in Belize City was FANTASTIC... I chose this spot to ask my girlfriend to Marry me and it was a great decison on my part . The people there were just wonderful. I couldn't have ask for a better group of local people . My New Bride and I think of them all as FAMILY.....My room was great the food was out of this world and the personal care that we received was TOP SHELF . If you are ever in Belize this is the Place to stay!

The staff. Supported and recommended taxis that charged 4 to 5 times the local going rate for same service and vehicle type. Room and furnishings were of poor quality with limited security. The bath flooded with each use of the shower or tube. Food and drink over priced compared to local restaurants.

Really enjoyed my stay at the hotel it is a great base for doing activities. 5 minute easy access walk to the water taxi going to the cayes. The city is run down but I never had any problems on several walks to the ferry terminal. Many of the tour companies pick up at the hotel and of course the hotel can set you up with tours which is very convenent. The front desk was very friendly and helpfull as was the entire staff. Room service was fast and there was plenty of room at the pool. The mayan ruins at Lamania were awesome and was lucky enough to be there for lobster fest on caye caulker. A very enjoyable stay.

The hotel staff was awesome, this is really the only place to stay in Belize City. Other hotels I saw were ho-hum to say the least. It is across the street from the water, there is no beach in the area. Short walking to the tourist center used by the cruise ships. The staff is exceptional, food is a little pricey.

Friendly atmosphere and staff, helpful with information. Limited restaurant selections. The Coning by Inn is a great, safe, low priced place to stay. No, it's not glitz and glam. It's comfy, friendly, basic, clean sheets and no bugs. It's also an easy walk to the swing bridge and the tourist village. Try breakfast at a local street vendor, great and cheap!

This hotel is the jewel of a decrepit Belize City. Don't go out on the streets at night, but you can let X , a street guide - show you the town. The dive shop on the pier offers a complete dive course, and will take you to their own island! Explore.

The Raddison is located in the heart of Belize City. Upon my arrival, I was cordially greeted by hotel staff. The desk staff checked me in very quickly and easily handled my questions concerning the area and places to visit. My room was excellent. A very comfortable King Sleep Number Bed and a deep jacuzzi tub was the room's highlight. The room was very clean and the a/c work superbly. Room service personnel was very response and the food was good. Of course when going on a vacation, tv shouldn't be important, as it was nice to have a numerous channels to choose from as well as HBO and several Showtime channels. Both the bars in the main hotel as well as the one by the pool were clean and decorative. The bartendars and table staff were friendly and attentive. The location of the hotel affords the opportunity to easily travel to the local hotel/casino as well as to the bus docks for a trip to San Pedro. If you're in town over the weekend, the hotel is also close to their shopping district. I would highly recommend this location to someone visting Belize. I really enjoyed the staff and accommodations.

This place has moldy rooms, pool was dirty and closed. Price for day trips was twice the local price. Staff was rude and non-caring. Not is a good part of town after dark and nothing to do. Go somewhere else if you must go to Belize

Nice clean room, with a great view of the Caribbean. I would say that this is the best Belize City hotel for location, restaurant choices, and amenities. It is perfect for a layover, but not as a destination location. Be aware though that if a cruise ship is not in, the tourist village is not open. My wife and I both liked it.

"Great place to stay in Belize City. The food is excelent! Coffee is great! Only 10 min. walk to Water Terminal where you can catch a taxi to islands. Don't stay in Belize City too long, go to the islands and have fun there."

"Don't waste your money. Staff is poor and service is a close second. They don't give a crap, only that you meet the minimum credit card amount. Rooms were nice in 1980; needs a major overhaul in personnel and accommodations. This is a blight on the name of Radisson Hotels."
Date of Stay:

"The Radisson Fort George is close to downtown, not far from the Princess, which has a casino, but lacks other amenities. Beautiful, pleasant staff, on the waterfront, and good food. Who could ask for more?"
