Good value hotel, walking distance of approx 15 mins from the port area and the great market. Would recommend for families and couples, breakfast also good.

The location was nice enough. There is a tram that stops right outside the hotel to take you downtown or you can take a 10 minute walk to the center giving you an oportunity to stop at the bakery for fresh baked breads and a coffee. The hotel was very comfortable, the staff was EXCELLENT and I really can't say enough good things about them, rooms were clean and well cared for. The breakfast buffet was well done. In my opinion restaraunt Viola could probably do better however their cheeseburger was great! All in all I would recommend Radisson Seaside and if you are going to stay for 3 days, get the Helsinki card.

The hotel location on the edge of the city centre was good. It was an easy 10 min walk to some of the main sights of Helsinki. It was too far from bus or train stations to walk with luggage and we needed a taxi on arrival and departure, however it is on a tram route. Check in and out was quick and efficient. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, however the hotel was near capacity when we were there and the breakfast room was very crowded and noisy. It was quite expensive, but reasonable value for money. (We wanted a cheaper hotel but we were there during the Helsinki Festival and all the cheaper hotels we tried were full).

I stayed at the Radisson SAS Seaside Hotel Helsinki for 3 nights in July 08. I found this hotel very good. The room was big, spacious & clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the breakfast room staff who worked very hard clearing tables quickly and topping up all food and drinks. The location was great as tram 6 stopped just outside the door and the ferry terminal to tallinn is only a short walk away. However I did find the bar prices a bit high compared to other bars. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Nice hotel not too far from the city, in a historic building. Got upgraded to a superior room on check-in. Rooms are clean, bathrooms are spacious with heated towel rails and breakfast is delicious. Only downside is that they couldn't get wireless internet working for us despite their promise of 100% satisfaction or you don't pay.
