A gorgeous hotel, with wonderful rooms that's very close to the bus station, but relatively far from central Guanajuato. You'll have to take a taxi to get into town -- there's no way to walk it. The taxi is cheap, but it's inconvenient to go back-and-forth, and if you like to step out your hotel and be in the thick of things, then this isn't the place for you. If you want a lovely hotel that's a bit out of the way, then this is your place.

No Valet Parking No Bell Boys Closing the swimming pool at 5:00PM when the schedule says that they close at 7:00 PM Gym was closed when I tried to use it, needed to go to the front desk and ask them to open it. It was 6:00 PM.

We were greeted getting out of our taxi by a very helpful bellman who spoke enough English to get our initial questions answered. The registration desk was also very helpful and accommodating whenever needed. One woman in particular at the desk, who had only started working there a few weeks before, became my source to go to as she spoke English well and was polite and courteous. Their restaurant was elegantly decorated and the food was beautifully displayed and delicious. The waiters, though not proficient in English, were patient in trying to explain items on the menu. After the first day, however, we didn't care what we ordered, as it was all great dining at its finest. An interesting note, was that to conserve electricity, the key card to enter your room doubled as a way to turn on your lights. The room was spacious and the courtyard beautifully cared for. The pool looked clean, but we didn't use it as it was too cold when we were there. We would highly recommend this hotel if you don't want the noise and hubbub of the downtown area of Guanajuato. We found out the taxis were easy to get, they told you up front how much it would cost to our destination. Very convenient.
