I thought the hotel was very run down, and the food was disgusting.

Value for MoneyThe Queens Hotel provides value for money. I enjoyed my stay.

We had a deluxe room which was a large room but nothing was deluxe about it. The decor was old and tired, though it was clean. The shower was terriable, a dribble rather than a shower. The food was very good however and the restarant and bar were nice. We used the pool but the steam room was out of action but had no notice to tell us so?

Excellent dining in a very decent 3-star hotel. Had a very pleasant stay, and would recommend to anyone.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was very comfortable and clean, although it was a little small. The staff were very pleasant and the food was extremely good. The hotel is very convenient for the town centre and the beach.

Whilst I have given excellent for all categories, it should be noted that the evening meals surpassed excellent and were simply outstanding. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room not up to the same standard as when stayed previously. Hotel staff first class.

The Queens is a middle of the range hotel that is a bit old fashioned but basically fine. The room was a little tired looking, but clean with a very comfortable bed, plenty of storage, and a nice bathroom. The breakfast was classic British fry-up, and we had no complaints with the service or the food. Not exciting, but not bad at all.

Whatever you do do not stay in room 430. It is right by the lift shaft of a very old service lift and I hardly got any sleep for all the 4 nights with the constant loud banging upon leaving and landing and the creaking in between. This is my main gripe, and my other comments below fade into insignificance compared to this. I asked for a change of room and they told me they couldn't because they were full. Also, supposedly there has been a refurbishment programme since 2007. This obviously has been a very slow programme as it hadn't touched my room which looked like it hadn't been touched for 50 years - very old fashioned and in garish colours and flowers etc. I also noticed the sheets had stains on them but tried not to look to closely. Even the communal corridors on my floor looked and smelt like an old peoples home. As for the shower, which was a pipe from the tap affair, it was a pathetic dripping type rather than anything nearing a power shower. Breakfast was fast, plentiful and tasty and staff were friendly although most did not speak English too well and I had to repeat things several times. As for the bar, it had no music (even in the background) in the night I went in and just the TV blasting out which led to a very stifled atmoshpere. Don't think of getting any food because they stop serving food at 8:30pm would you believe it and there's nowhere in the immediate vicinity to get food so I had to send my partner out to get something. I paid £85 per night. Supposedly this was a discount from the regular price of £170. There was no way in a million years you would ever pay £170 for this room. I thought £85 was too expensive. I stay in a lot of hotels and have stayed in other hotels in Bournemouth for less that were a lot nicer. Having said all this, a collegue of mine stayed in a different room on the same floor and he said he couldnt hear the lift from his room (which I guess was because he was on the opposite side of the hotel and not right next to it) and h

Was not happy with my room. It was extremely small and I feel I was mislead by the pictures in your website. I stayed in room 211.

The restaurant was great, however the room was not - nothing short of a good clean would do here. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my colleagues, however, if they were in the ara I would recommend the restaurant.

When I went to book in they told me they did not have a booking despite my confirmation e mail. It took some time to sort this out. The sausages were raw and it turned me off breakfast. There was no propper apology. I feel despite its good location the hotel is overpriced.

Overall very good. The room was a little small and very dated however clean and adequate for the purposes of our visit. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good although not overly well presented.

The hotel represented good value for money. The room was a good size and the leisure facilities were excellent. The quality of the showers in the bathrooms could be improved though - a power shower could be useful.

Fairly easy to find and decent amenities. Breakfast was good but nothing special. However, for the price paid, some of the rooms were under refurbishment, the beds were terrible and the bath/shower was tiny. When we left the person at reception asked if there was anything we wanted to let them know about our stay, we politely informed her that the first room we were in needed some work to which she responded in a defensive and unfriendly manner - this really upset me as I feel that if you don't want any constructive criticism, then don't ask for any. I will not stay there again.

Do not have room 114 - the room had some pipes running thru it which made the room very hot both night and day and we had to sleep with the window open in the middle of winter. The room also only had a shower - no bath but apart from this the hotel was excellent value.

Very enjoyable stay, indeed! Also, very handy for town centre.
