Enjoyable experience and relaxing.

The historical nature of the hotel was awesome. Thin walls and could hear everything in room next door.

Customer service staff could have been more helpful. Restaurant staff was very good. Very convenient for Carnival cruises (just walk your luggage to the ship). A very interesting place to stay - lots of history. A bit pricey at $ 185.00/night. Could make signage clearer - our taxi had a difficult time finding the hotel entrance.

My partner and I stayed here for a week while visiting my son in Long Beach. We had been on the Queen before and enjoy it's "old-timey" flavor. The history of the boat is fascinating and most of it is still in the same decor as it was decades ago. It is beautiful to walk out on the deck in the mornings and evenings and see the city of Long Beach to the east and Catalina Island to the west. We had a deluxe stateroom with two porthole windows, which is well worth the extra expense instead of an interior room. The bathroom has the old fixtures with updated features but don't expect all your modern conveniences like a vanity counter and large tub. There was a nice large flat-screen t.v. in our room. The staff was always very pleasant. We especially enjoyed the Promenade and the bar.

queen mary hotel, formerly the luxury liner rms queen mary is a remarkable piece of history. this is both a blessing and a curse at the same time. while the facility oozes with the afterglow of what it means to be on a real first class liner, when you check in to your 'stseroom" you are immedeately reminded that this is a 70+ year old ship. yes, there is beautiful wood paneling and details that are too numerous to recount here, but the rooms are small, the bathrooms old fashoned (watch out for the tub when you shower - the bottoms are not flat and pose a very large risk for falling) and all-in-all the rooms do not make for a business friendly enviornment. the rooms at a local "hampton inn" are much more business friendly than what you can find here (desks, wi-fi- extra chairs, etc). also, the resturants, while okay are not what you'd expect in/on a hotel/ship of this class. don't get me wrong, the next time i go to the long beach area on a vacation i'll make sure i "book passage" on the queen. for business though, i'll pass.

Brunch at buffe was best ever had.Decor did not stay true to 1930's era.Entrance to ship is ugly and unatractive. 4th of july event badly organized. Seen beter firework display's at local parks for free. Not enough elevators. No consideration for wheelchairs or baby stolers. Not Enough Handycap parking.Verry expensive for one night stay.Verry late check-in time.

Great experience slightly marred by room allocation M010 which was landside by the entrance gangways to the ship with poor outlook from porthole window and very noisy!

When I found the Queen Mary listing at an online travel website, I booked immediately and prayed for the best. I wanted to surprise my husband for his 55th birthday. From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly, helpful, and absolutely offered first class service with a smile. Our deluxe stateroom was so unexpectedly spacious that it took our breath away. The "thirties" feel to our room was charming, its living space well designed and the theme executed well in both decor and furnishings. It was a delight and a comfortable sanctuary for our three day stay. The salt air and sunshine streaming through the portholes was a wonderful way to awaken each morning . The Grand 'ol Gal has still got it...and for a romantic stay she can't be topped. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and as we walked the Promenade Deck each day it was easy to forget that she was just in Long Beach. It was memorable and nostalgic. Purrfect! Thank you, online travel website!

Very overpriced restaurants but good food. Deluxe King was not a deluxe by any stretch of the imagination. HVAC runs on high all the time in every room. Be prepared for a noisy fan and very cold air. Nice ship very art deco and interesting. A tiny TV, decaf only in the room. A shower not made for tall people. See your room before you settle on one.

We spent one night there. We checked into a room and soon realized that the room across the hall was very very loud with young people who were screaming and talking and banging against the walls. Party time I guess! We went to the front desk and asked for another room and were given one without any problems. It was quiet, and a larger room. The staterooms are much as they would have been when the ship was sailing. Lots of wood, lots of storage space and our room had 2 portholes overlooking the ocean. Very comfortable bed. We took our own self guided tour. You are free to explore all the nooks and crannies all the way to the top of the ship, to the lower areas. We enjoyed that tremendously. We ate at the Promenade Restaurant. Food was good, but $3.50 seems high for a cup of coffee. Breakfast buffet was $9.95 and very good. We would definitely stay again. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Lovely hotel, but it needs an infusion of money.

Do not expect a 5 * Hotel, but do accept the ambience & history and you will surely enjoy your stay. You'll love wandering around the vessel to areas that the general public do not get to see. Very clean, and staff are just great.

What an experience. Great stay.It is an old ship. If you take an inside cheap room with twin beds and no opening porthole, it can be uncomfortableI suppose (as some others have indicated.) We booked an outside deluxe KING bed room. We opened the porthole during the night, it was absolutely great, very comfortable and homey. The rooms have coffee machine, phone, Nintendo, colour tv, small table and chairs, etc. The bathroom have been redone and are modern, with the orginal faucets (4 faucets providing hot and cold, soft and sea water (which was very cool !!!)We took a package with tours: ghosts and legends, behind the scenes, WWII, rhe russian submarine Scorpio tour, etc. We had a drink at the Observation deck bar (great art deco ambiance), we ate at the Sir Winstons' restaurant (wonderful food and service), we browsed through the shops (unique souvenirs). Only one set of elevators is in working condition. But being surrounded by mystery and history, it is not a big issue. Finally, an hotel stay out of the ordinary. You can also visit the captain's and officers quarters, walk on the worn out teck deck, experience the sea breeze, relive the past, etc.For travellers only, not for tourists !!!! .

I liked the old decor and the historical aspect of the hotel/ship. The restaurant was a little pricey for lunch, but the food was good. I enjoyed my stay at the Queen Mary and would stay there again. Clerk was very helpful and pleasant.

Service was wonderful. Within less than 5 minutes, housekeeping responded to our request for something. The food was very good and it was ready within a short time of our order. The room was cleen and the bed was comfortable. We will stay again.

we made reservations for 2 nights but decided to change hotels after being at queen mary for 1 night only. room had 2 twin beds. too small for us!

The most unclean terrible hotel ever. Twin bed for 2 adults and 1 infant!! TOO small rooms doesn't worth the money. Nothing for the handicap or for the infant with the stroller.

History and elegance. Old plumbing. Steeped in history. The hotel was really fun. One of our cabins was truly luxurious and beautifully restored, but bath plumbing was not working well. The other cabin was a lower class or not fully restored, but very comfortable and also had bath plumbing issues. Notwithstanding the bathing issues, we would stay there again in a heartbeat. The ship tours were really excellent but we would skip the ghosts tour next time.
