Friendly staff, flexible check-in. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. Rooms a little small, but just big enough to live in. My room had a cute little balcony you could access by climbing through the window, so we had a great view of the hippest part of Rue Saint Denis. Hotel is flanked by a delicious creperie and a gentleman's club, but we didn't run into any problems. We thought the juxtaposition was funny. Not the most luxurious place to stay in, but it's a good place to sleep and take a clean, hot shower after a night out!

This was a good enough hotel, especially for the price and the location in the middle of Montreal. The rooms are tiny, but everything is clean. The room had its own hair dryer and it worked, a rarity in this price range. The desk clerk offered me rooms that faced the inside area and they were really dark, it looked like it was cloudy outside even when the sun was blazing, except on the 3rd floor. There's no elevator which can be a problem if you have really heavy luggage like I did, I chose floor 2. The doors have good locks on them, opened with a real key, I felt pretty secure. Homelessness is apparently a big problem in Montreal and many of them live nearby. There's a tiny parking lot in back of the hotel, which was quite nice to have. Staff members were all helpful and friendly and were glad to move cars to let mine be on the outer edge of the lot so I could exit in the early morning. Lots of food options available within an easy walk. Not a bad place at all for the money. I would stay again.

Classy hotel with character in great neighborhood. No late checkout, restaurant and bar not as great as rest of hotel. Almost everything was wonderful about this hotel - classy, comfortable, attractive big room, super comfortable bed, lovely marble bathroom with plenty of mirrors, free WiFi. Very professional staff, delicious chocolates with turn-down service. Best to stay at this hotel and go to the bar across the street, or any of the great restaurants in the neighborhood.

This hotel has a great location, fairly reasonable prices, and room was clean. However, the rooms are dingy, dark, and depressingly small box-like structures. The beds are small and uncomfortable with only one wafer-like pillow, to add insult to injury. The management apparently wants to maximize its profits, so don't expect a lot of frills. Thrift-shop quality towels and LinenThey provide the bare minimum. Next time will stay at another more cheerful hotel.

Although small, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was so cute and friendly. I especially liked the man who served the continental breakfast. He always gave my friend and me an extra gigantic chocolate muffin. The staff was helpful and recommended some great clubs for us. The location was great, especially for young people who don't want to spend much money. There were a lot of fun things to do right by the hotel and if you aren't lazy, downtown, the old city, and chinatown are all within walking distance.

The atmosphere was very good. Room was small. The atmosphere for the location of the hotel was quite interesting. The room was quaint.

Honestly, for */night i dont know what the other people commenting expected...it was more than what we paid for, i was scepticle, but it was surprizingly clean and we had fresh towels every day. Worth the money 100%

I really enjoyed my two-night stay at the Hotel. It was all about the location: right on Saint Denis Street, with all the surrounding shops, nearby Metro, and the place was very well-maintained. I think they do offer free breakfast as well, though I was not able to get up early enough to try it out. and The bottomline is that, for such location this hotel is a bargain. I will definitely stay at Hotel Quartier Latin again!

The location. Awesome location. Staff was not that friendly.

The Hotel Quartier Latin in Montreal attracted me as ideally situated to the Montral Central Bus Station, where I had to leave in the early morning. Thats why noise from the nearby Bus-Parking couldn't annoy me. i didn't expect a luxury Hotel but a clean and complete room - and i got it. The room was simply furnished but had know had no closet, only a clothes rail, for one night, this didn't matter for me.

Convenient to where we needed to be. Hear running water in the bathroom drain and bare light bulb in light fixtures on wall. In the Latin quarter, good price and very clean.

This hotel is in the perfect location, which made it worth it. Not the most glamorous place, but very affordable, and perfect if you don't plan on being in your room much and want to be right in the thick of it.

Not much. Old and run down.

This is a no-frills hotel and not the best choice for families or couples who desire comfort. That being said, it is right in the heart of the City. Wonderful restaurants, pubs and shops all up and down St Denis Street. It is two blocks to the metro and one stop away from the track. The best location I can think of if you are visiting Montreal for the races. Great value for the money.

It was very clean and great location on active street. The AC worked better in the hallways than the actual room. The room was small, perfect for the single traveler. The hotel was immaculate and was in a great location on Saint Denis. The only complaint I have is that the central air in the room did not seem to work adequately but the hallway right outside my room was freezing. After my second complaint to a second person, I was given the chance to move to a different room, but found that room just as stuffy so I just stayed where I was and kept the windows open the whole time. I am not sure how they controlled the central air but they seemed to say that it was not working because I opened the windows, but the only reason I opened the windows was because when I first arrived the room was very warm and stuffy and I kept the windows open because the AC never seemed to kick in. I felt because of the slight language barrier we never solved the issue but having the window open kept the room relatively comfortable.

The Hotel Quartier Latin Montreal was an okay place to stay because it was close to where I needed to be, but really the only thing it has going for it is the location. The room was tiny, with a view of a wall. The bed was fairly comfortable, but the pillows were lumpy. The area has a few restaurants. I almost certainly would not stay there again unless everything else in town was booked up. It was not worth what I paid for my stay.

Cheap, quiet, lively area. Strip club next-door. For the money, its ok if the strip club doesn't offend anyone's sensibility.

Location. Staff not friendly, continental breakfast very limited, beds hard, found pair of socks in room. Good location in the Latin quarter. For the price it certainly was acceptable. Located next door to a strip joint. The staff was generally not very friendly and only moderately helpful. Of course, I didn't expect much and so wasn't disappointed.

Located near downtown. I paid $10 a day for parking.
