The Quality Suites Lake Wright offers affordable two-room suites approximately one mile from the Norfolk International airport and five miles from downtown Norfolk. Guests will be able to reach the Virginia Beach beachfront in about 13 miles. Onsite recreational facilities include an 18-hole golf course, indoor pool, outdoor pool, and fitness room. Guests receive a complimentary hot breakfast with their room rate. Monday through Thursday evenings, guests are invited to attend the Manager's Reception for complimentary snacks and beverages. Guests will find regional cuisine and a casual atmosphere at the Lake Wright Restaurant and Lounge. There are many restaurants, from casual to fine dining, within a short drive. To suit guests' needs, the hotel offers a convenience store, gift shop, meeting room, laundry facilities, safe deposit box, and complimentary shuttle to and from the Norfolk airport. The hotel allows pets less than 35 pounds, but restrictions apply. If you plan to bring your pet, please contact the hotel before your arrival to confirm the current pet policy. There are 127 rooms on five floors. Both non-smoking rooms and rooms equipped for the physically challenged are available upon request. Standard amenities include coffeemaker, mini-refrigerator, microwave, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, television with HBO, dataport telephone with free local calls and voicemail, sleeper sofa, and complimentary newspaper.

I like the amenities of the suites, especially having a mini refrigerator and being able to shut off the living area so I can sleep without outside noise. The breakfast buffet is nice. The only thing I don't like is that dogs are allowed. I don't like the idea that I've stayed in a room that maybe had dogs walking around it, at some point.

Up to date rooms, friendly staff, and plenty of parking. Cleaning service was very loud, and started too early in the morning. The hotel staff, and service was very nice. Since I was traveling alone I felt comfortable, and safe in my room at night. However the walls are very thin so I was kept awake by the guests in the next room coughing, and disturbed early with the blow dryer from the other side. Housekeeping started banging on doors around 8am, proceeded to continually stammering the doors each, and every time they opened one to get something from their cart. Needless to say I was couldn't wait to check out of the room hours before I wanted to just to get away from their noise. This is not the first time I have stayed at this complex but it is the first time I didn't stay in a suite. I will not be staying there again.

Friendly, and good location. I just found lots of mold and the air quality in the room was not healthy and the rug, drapes and spread where in need of cleaning. The hotel was beautiful but my room was not a very healthy because of the mold and the air quality was not very good in the room. Furthermore, the spread drapes, and rugs was in excellent need of cleaning. The wallpaper was coming off and not knows I would not recommend that hotel to anyone right now if all the room is like that. I was very disappointed.

Very disappointing. We requested a smoking room but though I asked for ashtrays of 3 different staff members, none ever brought them. Bathroom fan squealed loudly. Bathroom door the lock was broken obviously. Given a room that had been occupied by pets and this stirred up our allergies. Carpet stained. In short, not what we expected at all!!

Pretty good place. It is combined with the Quality Inn on the same property (shares many of the same ameneties). Rooms are small, but for one person it works out great. No wireless Internet, but wired Internet works well.

This was a great hotel for a family stay. The staff was friendly. The pool was clean and lifeguarded (in the high season). Breakfast was a free hot buffet. Rooms are a bit bigger than your standard hotel room with a small sitting area separated from the bed area by a door (great if you want to put the kids to bed & stay up yourself). Mini "kitchen" of a microwave, refrig, cupboards and small prep area saved us a lot of money and energy in that we were able to eat a few meals in the room. Would definitely stay here again. Lots to see within striking distance of the hotel...VA Beach, Zoo, Aquarium, Nauticus....

They did a great job. We were traveling with a baby and they brought a crib as soon a we checked in. Very pleasent!

I've stayed with my father there since I was a child, and was very familiar with it. The men in the room next door were drunk and loud, and the housekeeping started at 8:30 am, and I could hear housekeepers yelling at one another.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Norfolk/Virgina Beach area. It was very clean, the location was convenient and the breakfast buffet was good.

as in 2007, we stayed there again on mothers day weekend 2008. the hotel, staff, front office personel was very accomodating with our entire group. i am once again looking forward to our stay again this year. our group participates in an annual baseball tournament in the area and the hotel is just perfect for what we need. great place to stay!!!!!

We got a suite at this hotel. It was nice and the bed was comfortable. However the jacuzzi/tub/shower was in the bedroom which was kinda strange. Also we literally had to rearrange the furniture in the other room (no door between rooms) so we could use the pullout couch! The couch bed was not comfy, but that's to be expected. The place was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave.

Hotel looks nice and has a great location for traveling thru, but the walls are PAPER thin, at least in noise proofing. Had noisy group next door that hotel did deal with very well, but even normal TV or talking in next room came thru very clear.

Very clean and convenient. The air filters in the HVAC system. Good location, excellent service, friendly staff, very accommodating, but bad air filters in the HVAC system. I have a very sensitive allergic reaction to dirty or moldy filters, and on both occasions.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely awful. The room I was given reeked of cat urine. The cleaning staff obviously knew this as a portable fan was running in the room. With a 35 pet charge, the hotel has insurance to cover pet mistakes, but apparently too desperate for business to leave one room vacant for a night. The front desk did not even offer me another room, or a discount. I checked in and checked out the same evening, and drove back to Richmond rather than find another hotel at 11pm at night.

The shower was very nice and spacious. Very nice hotel, comfortable bed, clean and great location for access to the interstate. Very spacious shower and clean!
