I arrived at 12pm the room was not available yet, have to wait till 2pm (normal checkin time, so ok). Back at 2pm room still not ready, I was upgraded to a 2bedrooms. very spacious, nice view, clean, good location. I was disappointed to learn that I've to pay an extra 22$ for one day internet (given the price of the room, I expect this kind of things to be included). Next I wanted to unwind and take a bath. Water came out BROWN. Called the reception, who said they'll send someone very shortly. Nobody ever came. Hours later I tried the water, which came out with its normal color this time. I ended up washing the bathtube myself. Later in the afternoon, people tried to call me in the room. Unfortunatly a deviation was activated and the calls went to another room! Reception said they cannot fix it until next day morning. Next day morning, phone was still not working, anyway I had to leave by then. I took the in-room dinner (an angus steak). A bit disappointed by the size of the meal, but it was nicely cooked. Overall it's a good hotel, but there are definitely things to improve (staff not very helpful) and I'm disappointed. In my opinion not worth the $200 price tag, and wonders how they could get a 4.5 stars rating. Cheers

I'm a frequent guest as this hotel is my company's 'preferred hotel' in Canberra. The pros are: friendly staff and spacious apartment-style rooms with bedrooms, ensuites/bathrooms, living and dining rooms, full kitchen (fridge, dishwasher etc) and laundry with dryer. The con is the variability of cleanliness, service, food quality & presentation etc For example, the same pasta dish can be cooked and presented very differently on each occasion it is ordered.

I'm surprised to read such good reviews for this hotel! How it was awarded 4.5 stars is beyond me. Firstly, the staff messed up our reservation - we had booked into one bedroom apartments with a late check out so we could interview some people. Upon confirmation we were told there was no way they could give us late checkout and there were no other options we could use - no meeting rooms, nothing. Very helpful. The carpet in my room was disgusting and stained and the room reeked of the previous occupant's dinner (I HOPE that's what the smell was). The reception was filthy and looked like a 2 * motel. On the plus side, the room I stayed in was very spacious, the location is good and the view was lovely, but these factors don't make up for the shoddy service and general filth.

We found with the room facing West in the afternoon the drop blinds did not shut out the late afternoon sun's glare and it was extremely difficult to watch TV. The existing "see-through" blinds need to be replaced with non "see-through" drop blinds. Otherwise everything else is A1.

Fabulous hotel, great facilities and the room was fantastic. Doing a bit of work in ACT in April so would've stayed the whole month but prices jumped a fair bit this week, but will be back next week and maybe the week after.

The service provided was very good and efficient. We found the food in the restaurant also very good. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent and free undercover parking is available. The two complaints that we had concerned limited viewing choices on TV especially for families & young children, and a lack of safety features around the pool.

The suites were new and very spacious. We got a complimentary upgrade to a 2 bedroom which was a nice and unexpected touch. We also asked for a higher floor which was accomodated. Only minor issue was there seemed a food smell coming thru the exhaust in one bathroom but that fixed itself after the first night

Location is fantastic - just a couple of blocks from the centre of town. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families - young children are welcome, and the apartments are spacious and clean. Don't bother eating dinner in the restaurant downstairs, the food is awful. The breakfast set up is confusing and not that great either. Would definitely stay here again, but eat elsewhere!

The location was great and the hotel was clean and the rooms very spacious. The service wasn't bad but the staff's friendlyness didn't seem genuine. Maybe because they were all pretty young. As other comments said the sheets are terrible and feel like plastic. A good hotel overall but there is definitely room for improvement.

Great value for money suites, located centrally, walking distance to all restaurants. Received an upgrade to a 2 BRM apt, great size. Loved the heated slab in bathroom, very much needed for a Canberra winter.
