When I arrived, there was a problem checking in. I had made reservations for a double bed NON-smoking room, but when I got there was told that all was available were smoking rooms for that size, so I settled for a room with 1 king size bed, as I would have been miserable in a room that had been smoked in. The majority of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a basic breakfast of muffins, cereal, juices, friuts, and bagels, which was fine and free. I did make a small mistake by leaving some change in my room (not much) and came back later that day, and it was gone. I am hoping that the maids thought it was their tip, and that it wasn't taken on purpose. I did not leave anything else in my room of value to me after that. The noise level at times was too much, but I guess you will have that with older hotels. The rooms were clean for the most part. I have stayed there before and will stay there again, if my business takes me to Richmond in the future. Overall, good value for the money.

The people were friendly.

The hotel was a Quality Inn, but alas we saw no quality. Our rooms were never cleaned and I had to ask for more toiletries. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. It was a reasonably priced hotel that disappointed me from the pictures I was shown on the online travel website site. I will not stay there again.

First time experience with this chain in this area. Reasonable rates, very clean, exceeded expectations. Nice hotel, reasonable rates, and very clean. Enjoyed stay there.

Second nights stay, awoke to water pouring through ceiling. Gathered luggage and went to checkout. When I explained to the clerk the situation, she simply said, I'm sorry, someone must of have run over their shower. Well, let me tell you, it must of have been some deep and long shower. Then she handed me a receipt that didn't match to my internet receipt, but couldn't explain it either. Finished with me she quickly turned her attention to the next customer to devert attention I suppose. A real stinker you know, and I didn't even get a chance to take a shower.

We stayed there with a group of cheerleaders. I had read warnings of dirt, and mold but the team mom didn't. We arrived at 5 p.m. and the rooms were still being cleaned. The girls were booked on the same floor and the rooms weren't. About 8 p.m parents started complaining because their rooms didn't have hot water. Mine room had hot water but NO heat. They did fix the heat but it took an hour for the maintenance man to come. But little did I know the worst was yet to come. In the morning, I went to take a shower and the bottom of the tub was black with mold. I don't mean mold at the edges, I mean the whole bottom of the tub was solid black. When I check out they refunded half my money and admitted IT was mold on the bottom of my tub. Several parents and children in our group said they had nasal congestion and trouble breathing during the night. After hearing of the mold problem in my room, they concluded there must have been mold in their rooms and that triggered allergies. Do not book this hotel, it is a health hazzard.

Just spent the night. But nice room and furnishings. Lacked usual "hotel funk" smell.

We chose this hotel for it's proximity to I-64, and it's pet friendly facilities. The room wasn't fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. There were no restrictions regarding our dogs (they allow up to 3 pets), just a * pet fee. No crates necessary, etc. Our only problem was that our room was across from the free breakfast area which precipitated an early bark alarm from our youngest. For one night it was perfect. No complaints, and the staff largely couteous and helpful.

Hotel is really in a great location; lots of restaurants to choose from. We checked in after long day at Kings Dominion and the lobby looked fine. Hallways/elevators very dirty and had a smell. The rooms a/c had lots of stuff in screen, tub bottom looked very dirty, some mold in bathroom, stuff in corners on vanity...just not very clean. However I will say the beds were ok and were clean. Also alot of "traffic" in hallways till 1am or so.

Great location, fairly clean hotel, contiental breakfast, price. Overall condition was dark and run down, although it was clean it didnt feel clean. Great location- close to downtown Richmond, Kings Dominion, and an hour away from Busch Gardens. Great price, but you get what you pay for- rust stains in the bathtub, broken bathroom ceiling fan, dents and holes in different areas of the room, noisy A/C, and old, outdated room/hotel features. Personally, although it was clean, it was hard to get comfortable. Lastly, there was friendly staff and large sized hotel rooms with refrigerators and plenty of storage space.

Pre-registered for a Non-smoking room. Was placed on a Smoking FLOOR and told all the non-smoking rooms were sold out before I made my reservations online. Housekeeping: Have to REQUEST fresh sheets and towels, or you will have to reuse (if you forget). Did not clean mirror and sink area.

The hotel looked nice outside but the room was horrible. It smelled bad. I had to cut on the air for the odor to go away not to mention I bought air freshner and candles too. Don't br fooled by it's looks.
