Clean, but old and a bit tired.I had stayed here at a conference about 8 years ago, the hotel is clean but older and a bit tired. We were given a room by the road, and the noise was a distraction, especially if you wanted fresh air and had to leave the windows open.What interaction we had with the staff was generally friendly and helpful.The layout of the hotel, dining room, balcony and bridge, is quite attractive and a good place for a drink.Despite response below, I would consider staying here again if comments noted above are addressed.

We made a booking with a seperate bedroom and were very pleased. The atmosphere was warm and friendly with every thing we needed. Pleny of space and conveniently situated. Handy to the city and to the Nothwestern motorway. For dinner I reccomend the Pork Ribs. Huge and very tasty.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant and the food was cooked well and not too much or too little of it. The ambience and appearance of the hotel inside and out was interesting and cosy and olde worlde - we have shown slides to people of the interior of our room, the restaurant, the pool and the lounge area and our friends want to know the name of the motel so they can stay there. It was also reasonably priced when booked through [website].

Quality Hotel Auckland reviewAlthough I only stayed in this hotel for a short time (over night from midnight to six o'clock), I am glad it was not any longer. The bedroom was very poorly decorated, and there was an unusual and unpleasant aroma in the rooom. To be fair the bed linen was clean and the bed itself comfortable. There was no hot water (although I only let it run for ten minutes). I only had sight of the hotel pool for a few minutes, but of this I am glad - if I had loked any longer, I feel I might have contracted some disease - I will not be reccomending this hotel to anybody I meet.

Slightly better than an average 3 star hotel. Furniture and Fittings clean but a little tired. Short walk from cafes and a supermarket. Very convenient for not eating in.

Room wasn't ready until 5.30 - 2 hours after arrival. Light bulbs not working, window catchs broken, general uncleanliness. Cleaning staff and reception staff were brilliant and attended to everything promptly. Have stayed here twice previously, but wouldn't stay in this hotel again.

The hotel rooms have recently been re-furbished and the hotel offers excellent value for money. There are no restaurants close by so you would need to travel into Auckland

great indoor pool, the room was quite dark however it was a nice n quiet place to stay. had buzzy retro carpet. close to foodtown.

The cost and location were excellent. The room was reasonably spacious and clean. The heating was adequate but a bit noisy. Reception was polite and efficient

Quite a GOOD DEAL. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Great location with very helpful & friendly staff. Couldn't really fault this place other than on a couple of minor points. Firstly, even though I turned up well after the 2pm check-in time, the room was still being cleaned and Secondly the swimming pool was quite small & oddly positioned. It was shoehorned into an atrium or perhaps that part of the hotel had been built closely around it. But that said, EXCELLENT VALUE for money.
