I used to stay at this motel several times a year while in Huntsville for business. It was economical, and though it seemed a bit old and grimy, it was a decent stay. That being said, I did not appreciate the slew of off-color jokes a gentleman working the front desk proliferated, and neither did I enjoy one instance when I was left standing outside the locked hotel front door for several minutes trying to check in, only to find that the night clerk was asleep! The incident that pushed me over the edge had to do with discarded property, and how my claim was handled. Almost a year ago, an expensive item was discarded from my hotel room during a routine house keeping session. The general manager handled the situation with such negligence that I was never able to search the trash before it was picked up, though I notified the front desk hours before it was hauled off. Despite my repeated communications, the hotel never entertained my concerns, took responsibility for their actions, considered my claim, or reimbursed me for my substantial loss. I will certainly never stay here again, or any other property owned by Silver Blanket, Inc., and I am truly disheartened with Choice Hotels International, as well, as their hotel certainly did not uphold their Mission of exceptional service and guest satisfaction.

The front desk manager. It was dirty and the non-smoking room had been smoked in. I am normally not a picky person. This hotel was very dirty. The sheets, the washcloths and the room. I attempted to cancel my second night more than 24 hours before my check in time and I could not cancel only one night.

Very easy to find and convenient to highway access and restaurants. Being female, I would not stay at this hotel if I was traveling alone, I was given a ground-floor room. We were transporting an automobile on a car trailer, so when I read on your web-site that the parking lot could accommodate R V's, bus or trucks, this is the reason we chose the hotel. I was leery that this might be a truck stop or in the "bad" part of town, neither of these is true. The best thing about the hotel is they served a continental breakfast each morning. This isn't a luxury hotel but it was clean the staff helpful and knowledgeable about the area, and it served our purpose, but would not stay in this hotel if I was traveling alone, because it has outside entry to the rooms (this should be prominent in the description on the web-site) and that is a safety issue for female travelers.

It was a nice Hotel. The rooms were very roomy, nice size. Bed was comfortable. But, we didn't have a Do Not Disturb sign. At 8:30 the next morning we were woke up by housekeeping trying to get in for cleaning. It wasn't appreciated. But, it was a nice stay.
