Close to attractions I wanted to see. Entrance was small and awkwardly located.

Generally speaking the hotel was pleasant though a little old for my tastes. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfy. 3 issues really bugged me. 1. The fire alarm went off at 2:04 am and when calling down to the front desk to see if it was a false alarm or if we needed to evacuate (this has happened before to us at hotels) the clerk answering the phone said, "it's a fire alarm." and hung up the phone with no other details. We of course found out after the fire department arrived it was due to a intoxicated person who set it off accidentally. There were several guests including my friend that have difficulty navigating stairs so it was worth knowing if it was a real fire or just an "oops." I found her response incredibly unprofessional. 2. The wireless internet was down an entire day and they were completely unaware of it so we had to spend 1/2 hour on the phone to tech support to get it going and it still wasn't available until the following day. 3. The bathrooms require you to shower with the door closed or it will set off the fire alarm from the steam. This goes back to the old hotel and problems with updating. On the good side, check in was very quick as was check out. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were clean. It's location was right off the main freeway that we were using so it was convenient. I might consider staying here again but only if I couldn't find anything else in my price range.

The location of the hotel is right next door to a hospital and right at a four way intersection. It was extremely noisy and we got no sleep. There is a Panera on the premises, so it's very easy to hear their patrons come and go. The walls are very thin because it is an older hotel so you can hear every noise from the surrounding rooms and hallway. We got no sleep for the three nights we were there. We tried to change to another room, but were told there were no other rooms available. I defintely would not stay here again.

Convenient to several locations. Noise of the refrigerator. Moderately priced facility, clean; rooms with microwave and refrigerator, definite plus.

Old hotel; needs updating; Not very clean, looks worn out; Sliding doors had broken hardware (difficult to lock). However, Front desk staff was very helpful.

I stayed here to visit the University of Pittsburgh. it was one of the best prices in the area, had a free shuttle to and from the school, the rooms were ok and the staff was friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pitt on a budget.

I have no Idea where the previous people below me stayed but this was my 5th time staying at the Quality Inn and sure its an older building, but I have never had any concerns with cleanliness or security. The staff has always treaded my family and I like royality and every room we have stayed in was very clean and comfortable. It's not the Ritz, but neither is it the pits... Its the best value for miles and a great experience to boot...

Came here for my buddys wedding. The hotel where everyone was staying at cost about $170 per night and this one only cost me about $70 per night. This being one of the cheapest hotels in the area plus still being close to the campus is the only thing that makes this hotel a viable option to stay at. Fortunately, it's close to 376 so you can get out fairly quickly. This hotels looks like it's old because it is. The interior looks run down and the balconies are pretty shoddy looking. When you first walk in the lobby, or to your floor, or to your room will be the smell. It smells funky in there. Almost as if everyone there forgot to bath for a day. If you're single or hanging out with your friends and need a place to crash, this will do the trick. if you're taking your family on a vacation and, god only knows why, decide to stay here, you need to pony up some more money and hit the Wyndam Garden or the Marriots in the area.

Easy access location. Exercise equipment waspoor. This hotel is mainly suited for the traveler, useful for sleeping and showering.

I was traveling with my daughter to visit Pitt. This hotel is a good hike from campus. The bullet proof glass at the reception desk should have been my first indication that this would be a bad experience. The rooms are terribly outdated, smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and were filthy (clump of hair in the bath tub, for example). The room was noisy (could hear every conversation in the adjoining room) which gave the party the ensued in the room next door later on that "you were there" experience. And for all of these pleasures I paid $135 per night. I would not stay at this hotel again if it was free.

My stay, right from check-in to check-out, was a good experience. once the room service staff forgot to replace the consumables like shampoo & lotion e.t.c. but the reception was quick to take corrective action once told. I would recommend this hotel to all those planing to visit nearby universities, hospitals and research centres.

The staff. I got the front desk to call a taxi for me, and it never showed up. I was okay, kind of dirty looking, and small rooms.

"We checked in, and checked out immediately. Room stank, floors filthy from the minute you walk in, through the lobby, in the elevator (I think the elevator buttons were last cleaned about 3 decades ago as well), and right into the room. Dirt, grime, and possibly food stains everywhere."

This hotel is very close to the University of Pittsburgh, and hence very convenient. The rates are very reasonable. The rooms are comfortable. However, the hotel is run down. The rooms need better cleaning; carpets need vacuuming, and the bathroom sinks are dirty. The staff is freindly, and responds to your needs. A value hotel.

Hotel was ok to stay at for a night. The price was higher than it should have been and it was hard to find. Smoking rooms were musty. Not the worst place to stay at.

it was pretty bad.elevator seemed like it was about to break down. but, dont worry food on the floor would have saved you. don't plan on walking through any security systems or getting close to one because the key is disarmed. oh yeah the key, not even a 90's model probably made in the 70's.the security guard seemed like a hoax. fire alarm went off just because someone forgot to close door during shower. that steam is a real hazard. a bug went exploring through tub frame. God speed.

Bedswere comfortable. Room heater and shower did not work very well. Check in was a little slow.Not many amenities e.i.snack machines, pool, hot tub. Ice machine on our floor did not work. Good location for appointments at hospital. Easy to get to.
