Access to local events. Hotel is a very historical building with lots of history. Outside rooms were rather noisy (traffic, dogs, people) from street.
Date of Stay:
February, 2007
excellent value, we had a king size bed overlooking the river, a wetbar separated a little eating area with refridgerator & microwave, clean, excellent service, great continental breakfast w/belgian waffles!!!
Date of Stay:

Room was large and clean and very conveniently located to the parking lot. Staff in the morning was a little rude and unfriendly - maybe she needs to get some more sleep! Better than your average highway motel. Easy access off of the highway but quiet. Ample breakfast. Room was clean and huge. Television didn't work but was not an issue to us. Room had both a refrigerator and a microwave.

This hotel was great. All rooms have a microwave & fridge, so we didn't have to eat out so much. The room was plenty large enough for 2 adults and 2-70 pound greyhounds. We'll stay here again.

It was clean and it offered continental breakfast and the staff was friendly. The poor quality maintenance, it was done but not well done. The VCR is a little out dated, it needs a DVD player. There was some work that had been done in the bathroom that was nasty to look at. The hotel was very clean and the staff was first rate.

Room was very clean and had plenty of room. Great breakfast as far as continentals go.

River view-nice design of room. Housekeeping at all hours of the day/night. We enjoyed our stay-room was comfortable for two-river view was romantic when snowing. Loud housekeeping-they were vacuuming at about 7pm. Pool was good, staff was nice and attentive.

River view from room. We liked everything! We were really impressed with this hotel. Our room was very large with a really comfortable bed and a little kitchenette. The up close view of the Colorado river from our window was great. Super clean we loved our stay!

Away from town. Hot tub/pool. Deck by the river. Liked that the hotel was away from town, but had free bus pick up to go into town. Staff was very accommodating/friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Especially enjoyed the deck overlooking the Colorado River and seeing the trains go by. It was a very relaxing stay.

The view from the hotel room was great! The rooms in the hote needs to be upgraded. The view was great, but the hotel room needed to be updated. The AC was noisy. The staff was extremely helpful and always courteous. The complimentary breakfast was very nice and they didn't just serve cereal, juice and bread; they had just about everything you could want. It was a little difficult to find without help, but otherwise, we were very happy with our stay.

View of river and mountains. Far away from town. Hotel is fine, but is nothing special. It is located at least a 10 minute cab ride from town which is very inconvenient and expensive. Grounds were not well kept. Room did have a kitchenette, which would be good for families.

The river view from the patio. The room doors are very heavy. This hotel is very good for the price. There are three floors with an elevator. It is very people friendly. The free breakfast is very good with a wide variety of items. I liked to sit on the patio and listen to the river go by. The occasional train was not a problem. I would stay here again and will tell my friends. If I had to say something negative, there is only one ice machine on the first floor, but it is a just a small inconvenience.

Good location. The room. They were dog friendly. The room smelled awful and it was not a good experience overall. I don't know if I would stay at that hotel again. The hotel was nice, just not the room we were in. It was very smelly even with anti-smoke spray.
Date of Stay:

Pool is open until 11pm! Hot tub too was hot! Pool was too cold. Worked very well for us. Great location and right next to the river. Wonderful continental breakfast with seating beside the river. Would definitely stay there again. Nice proximity to all Glenwood Springs has to offer!

Convenient location. Bath tub did not drain, seemed a little seedy, light bulbs out, a little lax on the up-keep. It was ok, nothing to write home about.

Easy to find off the freeway, not in middle of town to get lost or confused. Motel was not as clean as others I have stayed in. Room was not as clean as other hotels I have stayed in a 2 star in my many travels.

I liked that the hotel backed up to the Colorado river. I asked for room service as I left for the day and it did not happen.

Nice rooms and very clean. The location from the station and it didn't have a shuttle from the train to the hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. It was two miles from the station and they didn't have a shuttle when other hotels did. Next time If I go I will find another hotel.

A good choice for a "two-star". Clean, good sized rooms and a hot tub/pool. A little far from Downtown. The staff was polite and attentive when needed. Everything appeared to be in good order, and the room was rather well done, and clean. The pool/hot tub area was also in good order as well. Even though youre a couple of miles from Downtown, the view was wonderful, although it's hard to mess that up in Glenwood Springs. Our room included a microwave, mini-fridge, a couch, and some other handy accessories also. It was a far nicer stay than the "historic" Downtown hotel, and at a third the cost. It's a good bang for your buck.

The cleanliness, the staff was eager to please, pets were welcome, and location next to the river was awesome. Can't really think of a gripe of any kind. Our stay at Quality INN and Suites was very pleasurable, very friendly staff, and the location is out of this world.
