The hotel is 5 blocks away from the beach. Five very long blocks, not walking distance. Nonetheless the hotel is very clean and quite pleasant. The hot continental breafast is really nice and a great money saver. With three kids and one which is 17 it's nice to have the sofa bed for him in the living room. For our family of five it was a great value. I would definitely go back.

Free internet that worked in office. Room smelled bad. Free wireless had bad signal.

This was a great place to stay. The hotel was walking distance to the beach, the movie theather, casino and different places to eat at. I stayed in the hotel for 4 days and three nights the staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel was right across from the casino which was a plus my husband and me went there twice which was really nice. There were soo many places to eat at which was a plus. overall i would definately stay at this hotel again and i would recommend it to my family and friends.

This hotel exceeded my expectations, for al quality inn , I will be staying again, next time I visit San Diego, Great staff, very clean rooms, comfy beds. Ths kids loved the fresh waffles.

The room was small but very clean and reasonably priced. The complimentary breakfast was better than most hotels. The staff was friendly. About 1 1/2 from the beach.

Surprised by the extensive breakfast buffet! Fresh waffles! The pool is next to a gas station, clearly in view, which effected our feeling of privacy. Extremely noisy - next to the freeway on one side, a busy street on the other, a casino on another and a gas station was next to the pool! Reasonably comfortable beds. The lobby staff was very nice and the breakfast was not bad for a continental spread. Definitely low end though!

This hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was walking distance to the beach, movie theather, and many different type of restaurants. The room was a little small which was ok because it was only me and my husband staying. Besides that the room was great and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

On the outside, this place looks decent... the parking lot is clean although crowded and the place is clean in general. While the rooms are also clean, and clearly remodeled, it leaves much to be desired. The room is VERY SMALL - roughly 15ft by 15 ft including the bathroom. In that space, there was 2 double beds, both pushed up against opposite walls, leaving about 2.5 ft between. At the foot of the beds (3 ft from) there is a desk, entertainment center/dresser, small fridge and microwave with just enough room for the door opening. The beds are comfortable and linens are clean. Be CAREFUL if you get up in the middle of the night for the bathroom, because you might walk right into the chair at the desk. NO JOKE. The bathroom was the worst part. Although CLEAN, there is NO water pressure. I'm not exaggerating when I say there is more water pressure and water holding an open water bottle over your head. I was worried it wouldn't rinse the shampoo out. Seriously. Be prepared to shower under a trickle of water. The staff was wonderful, however. My kids and I really enjoyed the free breakfast with fresh belgian waffles. This hotel sits right against the freeway to the west and a casino sharing the parking lot to the south. This place served it's purpose for us, but we would NOT stay there again. Just the shower alone would keep me away.

easy access on/off I-5. Not too noisy. Really good continental breakfast. Nice pool area. Close to many restaurants and pretty close to the ocean area stores, etc.

Friendly staff, decent breakfast. Rooms the size of a closet. The rooms here are very small but the staff has a big heart. Their breakfast included someone who made the waffles for you. Its fairly close to the beach but has a view of the freeway. Not a bad hotel for the money especially since the hotels in the area is very expensive. Its good for business travel but if you're on vacation I would recommend spending a little extra money for something a little nicer.

I was traveling to oceanside, to attend a military training session at Camp Pendleton, and the staff at this Quality Inn was great, they made my stay very pleasant. The business center was very helpful, an dthe fitness was small, but it did the job. Will definately be staying there if I return to San Diego.

The Quality Inn & Suites North San Diego County, OCEANSIDE, CA was vwry disappointing for my family and me. First the non-smoking room spelt like smoke. The location was not in a very safe location-at all. The casino across the street brought in a great deal of questionable characters that were hanging outside of the very nearby hotel. Men were drinking and partying just outside of our hotel room, not to mention begging for money. The freeway is just across the other side of the hotel and needless to say very loud. There are no well known family resturants (non fast food) so you have to either eat at a questionable food outlet or at a fast food place. We were not very happy with the resturant we chose since my husband and son got very sick because of the food. Not a very safe or desirable place for a family vacation.

I enjoyed the breakfast bar but there was no where to sit and eat. When I checked in the girl behind the desk did not know how to check me in. Another employee did it while she was on the phone with someone. This hotel was very dirty and needs some remodeling. The carpet was coming up in the corners and there were rust stains in the shower. The hotel room was very dark and dreary.

The hotel is located between a gas station and a Chinese Buffet, right next to I-5. Behind the hotel is a casino. The place is noisy and the room was extremely small.

We stayed here for the World Famous Marine Corps Mud Run and were thrilled at how close it was to the beach and to Camp Pendleton - where the race was being held. The rooms were tidy, if a little small, but we liked the fact that we didn't have to go far to get to the beach or the freeway. Breakfast was good too.

Inexpensive with amenities. TV channels fuzzy, crowded room, housekeeping. We knew we were getting a value motel and not to expect the best - so we were prepared for some disappointment. To begin with, the location was awkward getting in & out right off the freeway. From the outside it looked rundown & not in the safest area. Inside the room, it was very crowded but the decor looked to be somewhat updated. It did have all the amenities we were looking for when we requested the room- fridge, microwave, breakfast, pool. The TV channels were very fuzzy & not many to chose from. The complimentary breakfast was in a crowded area in the lobby, with a crabby attendant that acted like she hated her job. On the last day we decided not to even go through the hassle & found a nice little dinner near the beach. As for sleeping- small, uncomfortable beds & occasionally waken by loud mufflers from the highway exit ramp right next to the motel. Since we had low expectations we were not disappointed. Will probably look elsewhere to stay next time we return to the area.

My stay sst the Quality Inn was great, I really felt like I was at home, the service was great, and the rooms were very clean, would stay there again.

The hotel was not an easy walk from the beach or Oceanside restaurants and shops as it was located on the other side of the highway. The room was clean and comfortable and was fine for one night, but I wouldn't recommend an extended stay.

Friendly staff. Small rooms, poor maintenance. Very small rooms (two beds, but no room to put suitcases), very poor maintenance (holes in the carpet, grout falling off walls in shower). Parking on Friday was overrun by the casino visitors next door. Door keys didn't work on any of the days after we returned to the hotel. The staff was helpful, which is about the only positive of the hotel. It's a place to sleep, but don't expect much more out of this place.

Good price and location. Nice pool. Staff was tired in the afternoon. The staff was a little unfriendly in the afternoon. Could have been because they were tired.
