The beds/bedding were very comfortable. Kind of run down. Peeling paint. No view at all. Hotel was clean and room was not musty, although the appearance was somewhat drab and peeling paint in bathroom.
Date of Stay:
February, 2008
The room was boiling hot in Feb. Long story short, the hotel uses a boiler/chiller system and we were told we could not have A/C in February. I could also see mold on the filter inside the unit, so I didn't want it running. The room was a little rickety, but CLEAN. The bed was firm and clean and had new linens. The continental breakfast was good. I encountered a VERY LARGE roach in my room as I was packing to leave, so that is my last impression of this hotel.

Staff wasvery helpful, friendly. Continental breakfast was good. Room needed remodeling. Beach across the street, motel takes pets, which was important to us, internet service was free, continental breakfast was good, but motel needs to go in and refurbish bath and kitchen. They were marginal.

Hotel has just been renovated and it looks good! Bathroom sinks and showers have been refurbed (although, interestingly, the cracked old toilet seat and aluminium bathroom window WITH NO LOCK remained). A separate dressing area is large, well lit, and separated from the room by actual functioning doors. There were a couple of quirks that ruined it for me, though. First, air conditioning and heat are controlled centrally and the entire hotel gets one or the other, not a choice. The room was so hot that I couldn't sleep, and while the desk clerk provided a heater/fan, it wasn't much help. In addition, every bargain-hunting over-breeding parvenue visiting the island had turned up at the Quality Inn with gaggles of poorly behaved children. (Props to the desk clerk for politely but firmly directing an obnoxious tween to read the menu if he was curious about what would be on the free breakfast buffet - 15 hours in the future and not subject to change). I reluctantly invoked the satisfaction guarantee after a night of sweat and screaming kids, and the front desk clerk voided the bill without a moment's delay or backchat. I doubt I'll go back - certainly not unless the AC is on! - but this was still streets ahead of most other bargain hotels on the island and every member of the staff was courteous, professional, and intelligent.

Close to the beach. Kitchen had bugs. Moderate priced adequate hotel steps away from the beach.

Stayed in room 104 2 bedroom suite. It was a nice set up but the rooms could use updating. Very courteous staff

Location on Jekyll Island. Slimy bathtub and cockroach. Old beach hotel feel but renovation was okay.

Stayed in room 104 a 2 bedroom suite and found everything to be clean, but the rooms could use an updating. Good location to the beach and historic district. Manager and staff, very helpful.

The ice machine. The fact that my wife and I caught something. During our short stay, my wife and I both caught a cold, developed strange bumps on our bodys, and When I left the room there was no paint or warning signs to tell me of the step down, and I fell spraining my right foot. The hotel had nothing to eat at the later hour we arrived, and my wife and I had to eat at a gas station. We found a dirty shirt behind the door when we first walked in the door.

Room 102 close to ice maker therefore you heard guests filling the ice buckets and their conversion. Coffee pot in room needed three prong outlet but only a two prong outlet in room. Went to front desk multiple times and was told they would exchange it, but it never happened. The bathrromwas dirty and in need of major overhaul. No TV' s or telephone in the bedrooms. Overheard another guest ask about fixing a toilet problem in their room but management offered the guest a plunger otherwise could not do anything at the time since there was no maintence person on duty.

Location. Rooms were old and smelled old. The location was good. But the hotel was very old and the room had an old musty smell to it.

The fact we were able to get a 2 bedroom suite. The kitchen was not stocked for someone who actually planned to cook in the room.

Excellent proximity to the beach. Stale smoke smell. Quality Inn-Jekyll Island is a great to bring the family. It is nearby to Jekyll Island attractions such as the beach, putt-putt/playground, restaurants, historic district,

Location. Gave us a smoking room. Nice location, near many attractions. Smoking rooms way too smoky for a non smoker with asthma.
Date of Stay:
September, 2007
Meticulous cleanliness. Minor infrastructure issues, faucets need tightening up; TV needs to warm for clear picture ram 226. It was quite good. Room was very clean. Bathtub faucet was a bit leaky and the TV needs to warm up to get a clear pick. The remote batteries are being held in by duck tupelo but other than those infrastructure things the room was excellent. Linens, carpet, furniture were all well taken care of. Room 226.

Good food, comfortable rooms, and nice bathroom. Hot and dirty pool. Great. My three-year-old loved it!

It was clean and the employees were friendly. The free breakfast was nice. The hotel is old and didn't match what I would rate it. It smells like mold, pets, and smoke. This was the first hotel that I didn't like. This hotel is an older hotel, very outdated; the pool had way too many chemicals in the water. It stung the kids and my eyes. Always had to ask for towels for pool even though they were supposed to be out. The air was never cold in room; the towels were old and small. The only thing good was the employees were friendly and the free breakfast was nice. I would give it a rating of 1.

Large bedroom and large den area ( we had a one bedroom suite). Kitchen did not have enough silverware(two forks and one spoon), plates and cooking pots and pans. It was fairly clean, the kitchen was not a clean as I would have liked. The rooms were large. Nice pool but was loaded with chlorine that burned eyes and had a strong smell. Close walk to beach. Overall I was happy.

Friendly & helpful staff, close proximity to beach, quiet. This hotel is a great choice if you're looking for peace and quiet. It's close enough to the beach that you can easily walk over. In addition, it is close to all of the island's attractions. Highly recommended!

The size of the suite and it had everything you would need like, hair dryer, iron, etc. The breakfast. I had a great time and really loved the size of the suite, for the money you could not beat the price. If it was on the beach it would have been excellent but was across the street. The staff was friendly.
