My stay at the hotel was excellent, However when I got home I had a bill from orbitz and the hotel charged to my card. I have yet to have this corrected. I will never use Orbitz again

Bad customer service! Hotel looked from the 80's. The front desk personnel didn't know what they were doing!

This hotel advertises that they are "pet friendly," but they were anything but. I have an older dog who is very mellow and loves people. I thought she should be fine at the hotel, as long as no one opens the room's door because I didn't want her escaping to the highway. I kept the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. When I left the hotel to go to a nearby attraction, the hotel called me within an hour of my departure saying that my dog was running around the hotel, and that she "left herself out of the room." My dog has not been trained to open door knobs and pull open doors - housekeeping staff let her out. The hotel told me that it took 5 people to corral her back into my room. When I returned to the hotel, I found that my dog tore a piece of carpet by the door. She has NEVER been destructive any my home or anywhere else. The only explanation is that they terrorized my dog so much that she was traumatized. Two days later my credit card was charged $. The hotel insisted that I replace the entire room's carpet because they no longer had samples of the "old carpet." They charged this without my authorization. The Better Business Bureau contacted them, to whom the hotel responded that I signed the check-in agreement that stated that I would be financially responsible for all damages caused by my pet. Do not take your pet to this hotel - they will terrorize your pet, and find excuses to charge you so that the rooms can be renovated at your expense and not theirs.

From the outside the Hotel, I mean Motel, looked as if it was ok. When you go to the front desk, still nice until you go to your room. You have to go back outside and drive around to get to it. That wasn't so much my problem. But when you enter the hotel from the back it was so dusty inside. All the way until you get to your room. In our room it looked ok. I kicked off my shoes and the carpet was wet. They washed them but didn't wait for them to dry before they had people enter. The toilet looked as if they didn't even clean it and there was mold around the sink. The pillows were as if you were laying on a balloon. Not like air, but a nylon sheet filled with air. I only planned to stay for one night and that's what i did. Not going back there again.

Close to nice restaurants, nice to have restaurant accommodations right there. Very clean place, situated close to 95 exits, easy to get to. One drawback, someone down the hall had a yippy dog that barked into the night and for over an hour at 5:30 am!! I am an animal lover, but no need for one to bring a barking dog. Obvious they had no control over the animal. As for the hotel, I am sure we will definitely go back there to stay again and will let our friends know how nice it is, and convenient to many things.

We went up to take advantage of our Carowinds season passes (they are also good at Kings Dominion). This hotel was a great place to stay if you are looking for a nice clean room with no frills. The beds were comfortable and the room was quite affordable. We especially liked the coin operated washing machine located not far from our room.

They accept pets and are close to family residence. Cheap furniture. It was fine for one night - bed was moderately comfortable. Living room furniture was the cheapest ever. But, they accept pets and are close to our family home in Ashland, van.

The people were very friendly. The room wasn't a suite like. The hotel was very clean. Our room shouldn't of been considered a suite with 2 double beds AND a bedroom suite. It had a standard 2 double beds room with a half room attached with a sink, small fridge, microwave, love seat (not full couch), and TV with no air. You had to leave the door open to it to get air from your regular room. I've rented a top floor condo with everything you can think of (including 2 full baths, 3 rooms plus master room, full kitchen, living room, etc. on the beach and only paid 199 a night and didn't think the price I paid was fair at all. Also, I think they should tell you $15 per night for pets so you'll know. I usually have paid a one time fee at other places and think this was a little steep.

As others mentioned, the ""Free Breakfast"" is only from 6-8am, and must be eaten in the restaurant, no carry out. Room keycards stopped working the second night, requiring a walk to office. No elevators to 2nd floor, walls of room dingy, found dusty sunglasses next to TV. I'd rather camp.

Don't stay at this hotel unless you enjoy a higher rate than quoted, getting up extra early for a ""free"" breakfast that ends at 8 a.m. is only good for two people, old...perhaps, more like Bates Motel!
