Old and dusty room.Only one of original 6 ice machines worked.

Adequate for the trip we took.

We booked this hotel expecting the worst, as it had bad reviews. However we were VERY pleased with the hotel. It was cheap, clean, and quiet. The only problems were that the entrance stairs are steep, and our TV had a fuzzy picture. They are currently renovating thier courtyard, which looks like it will be really nice when finished. Would definatly go back.

Very clean. Could not see the sign and missed the entrance no drive up carport. It was raining and we were soaked. Check in staff member was quiet but friendly. He did not greet or smile at us at first. The room was clean which is a plus. The grounds could have been a little neater.

If all you're looking for is a bed and place to wash up. This is the place. If you want style and comfort look elsewhere.Talk about no frills. Beds and bathroom were clean, though. Undergoing renovations.Breakfast was a HUGE disappointment: Two kinds of bargain cold cereal, ""make it yourself"" waffles but NO BUTTER or MARGARINE. No other pastries. No fresh fruit or even jam or jelly was available.

Complimentary breakfast. Center court was an echo chamber when young children gathered. This hotel was advertising as being close to the Metro Rail. However it was approximately 8 miles from the rail stop. Bus transportation to the rail stop was only walking out the front door to the street. Very handy.

This is a basic motel with a miminum of extras. The location is great, ~ 8 miles from Huntington METRO station and 14 miles from Washington DC center. Rooms and the common access areas are neat and clean. The rooms face into an inside court increasing security. Did not expect much and was not disappointed. I would stay in this motel again."

Clean; friendly. Location. Clean & friendly staff; gets bus loads of school kids who are noisy at night.

Great breakfast, clean rooms, just not easy to get to from the opposite direction on the highway

For the money, the hotel was clean and the staff wasfriendly. The location was awful and the lobby and public space decorations tacky. The rooms were clean. The location, however, was awful and the decor of the public rooms - especially the paintings and sculpture - was downright tacky.

I was not at the Econo Lodge very much, just at night. You cannot beat the price for the location. About 15 min outside of Washington D.C. and easily accessable via 495 and 95. Not a classy place, but for a group on a budget, it gets the job done. The outside looks shaky, but the inside and the rooms are nice.

It was clean and my needs. I did not like the driveway entrance or the mattresses. Hotel was clean, but needed new mattresses (felt as if you were going to fall off bed). Otherwise, hotel was fine and I would definitely stay again!

Clean, newly renovated, free wireless, fridge and microwave, good breakfast. Location was far away from sites, no windows to parking lot was odd, entrance to the street from driveway inconvenient. Seems like they are trying really hard, everything was newly renovated, staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff was great, as was the freehot breakfast. Location of the ice machine. Great, friendly, and outgoing staff. This hotel gave a FREE, hot breakfast every morning. Prices for rooms were perfect with the 2 queen beds.
Date of Stay:
March, 2009
Simple and easy; great breakfast. Felt deserted; hard to find entrance.
Date of Stay:

Nothing! The room was adjacent to a construction zone and the workers arrived a 0630 hours every morning. I will not stay in this hotel again and I will advise all of my coworkers attending classes at Ft. Belvoir to look else were.

5 minutes from mount Vernon. Door would not lock from outside. You could just walk right in without a key. Motel is fine. Undergoing updates. It is perfect if you're coming to see mt. Vernon they need to repair door lock systems.

Free Wi-Fi, impressive renovations in progress. I respect what these folks are doing. They have taken a run-down property, renovated it well and are adding features making it business-friendly.
