I have stayed at this motel before, and each time I come back I expect things to be fixed but they are not. I booked and paid for a smoking room by the pool which I did not. I asked the front desk clerk about it she got snotty and told me that there wasn't anything available. I then asked them to take the charge off of my CC for the pools side room. They did not. I fought with the CC company for many months to get things changed around. Then they tried to bill me in the mail the difference in room price, even though I didn't get the room I originally paid for. The room I ended up getting wasn't even in the same building as the pool. The reason I go to this motel is for the pool. My grandaughter got sick from running in and out of buildings just to go to the pool. The carpet in the room was dirty and smelly, one of the beds the box spring was broken and my back was on fire in the morning. I told the front desk clerk about the bed the next day and she acted like she was deaf. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO ANYONE THAT WANTS A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP WITH COMFORTABLE BEDS. I will not stay here again.

first room we were assigned was occupied; second room we were assigned: had electrical short in lamp that shocked me; was overly damp; phone was intermittently not working; air conditioner was not working properly; the third room we were assigned was too damp and air conditioner was not working. the fourth room (note four rooms for a 4 night stay) was in fact an excellent room.

It felt dirty and old. It smelled musty, the rooms were very small and you could see dirty in the conors. I would never stay at this hotel again. They first checked us into a outside room that you had to walk down the side walk and back into the hotel. We paid cash for a inside room which made it more convenient for the kids to use the pool.

We had a great time at this hotel. The hotel has gone through a recent remodel. It was very convient for us, they have a large pool, waterfall hot tub, arcade, guest laundry, pool tables, exercise room, lounge, free wireless internet, and a very nice authentic 50's diner. The staff was very nice and accomodating. The hotel was kept very clean. The hotel is located in Rapid City, which is a great focal point to visit all the surrounding attractions. We also had a really nice hot breakfast buffet which was different each day, and helped to save a lot of money.

Great hotel! I have stayed at a ton of hotels over the years, but this one was very different but nice. Rooms were fine, clean and roomy. Great pool with lots of things for kids to do. Hotel has Pool tables and an arcade. The lobby has live trees with real birds flying around. This hotel had a lot to offer for the price. Area is safe and is in close location to many tourist areas. Has a Free hot breakfast but can get kind of crowded. Also, has a nice sports bar along with a few slot machines. Close to lots of restaurants and stores including a fifties diner in the parking which was awesome! Get the milk shakes! I would have no problem staying her again.

Great clean hotel. Had friendly staff. Our meetings were excellent. We had a great different hot breakfast buffet each morning. Hotel also offers a nice lounge with food, and a very nice 50's Diner. They also had a nice arcade and excercise room. Conviently located between two malls and near the Black Hills and Badlands. Also the pool is amazing along with their waterfall hot tub. There website was a lot of help too in deciding to chose this hotel over others.

I had reserved a room for non-smoking, when arriving they put us in the smoking building, away from the pool and other facilities. I contacted the front desk and was told "With booking with the travel website, your reservation comes through as a smoking room with a preference for a non-smoking room, at this time we do not have any non-smoking rooms available". I explained that I had a 6 month old baby with me and they just said that they were sorry and that I should have called them directly and booked my room.

The Quality Inn Rapid City was pleasant overall except for the fact that our room had no hot water in the morning for showers. Desk said maitenance would be in at seven and would look into it. After breakfast still no hot water so had to shower in travel partners room.

The layout. We are use to sleeping in a king bed so we slept separately. And there were kids and dogs running all over. Not a very nice get away for the week end. And there free breakfast in the morning ended at 9:30.

Checking into the hotel the front desk service was very rude, did not have the type of room requested. The pool is next to the lobby. The rooms are small and the beds are of no comfort. The dining area is overcrowded in the morning and wait times can be a bit long. When holding the room with a credit card it can take up to 3 weeks to get the hold off after they charge a seperate amount for the room. I have called twice to speak with a manager and have yet to hear back.

As the title indicates the room was cleaner than what I consider average. The king bed, couch and desk made for comfortable accomodations. The location of the hotel was central to all of the attractions we were looking for. Very satisfied.

The cleanliness and the friendly staff. One evening we had to listen to a dog barking next door. The Quality Inn was very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Pool was nice. Walls weren't insulated well, could hear neighbors. This was a nice hotel, the only problem we had was our neighbor's alarm was going off at 5 am and we could hear it. Also someone was banging on something pretty early. So if you want to sleep in, its not going to happen.

This hotel was very great for our family. We stayed several days, and did not have any problems. I was leary at first, due to some other posts, however in talking with the staff they have new owners and management. It was nice to have a hot breakfast buffet every morning, in comparison to most other hotel breakfasts. They also had a bar and grille on site with evening entertainment, however they also have a brand new fifties diner on premises which was very nice and authentic. We also loved there huge indoor swimming pool which was located in the main atrium which also had an arcade and pool tables.

It was in a separate building and the carpet was so dirty. With that price I paid it's not worth it. I'm not happy at all.

The swimming pool area. The setting of the rooms. The hotel was great for what I need it, I will stay at this hotel any time.

The Quality Inn in Rapid City was a bit over priced for what it offered compared to the other hotels we stayed in during this trip. The location was excellent; close to the mall and local attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful.
