Mattress. Towels, breakfast buffet. This motel is most likely to come into play only if a traveler to Grinnell commencement has not made a reservation more than six months in advance. From the get go, it is forbidding. If you approach from the east, good luck even getting to it. (You will be able to see it, but only this review will tell you to turn right to the traffic light, and then a left onto the frontage road.) The towels are threadbare, the breakfast bar will be a good way to kick off a diet.

My relatives were staying there. Too much chlorine in pool and hot tub (had to close) and no sofa bed in room. Disappointed; too much chlorine in hot tub so much so it had to close, front desk help fell asleep and was not prepared for breakfast and then did not keep up with needs of breakfast, running out of everything and garbage overflowing.

The breakfast was great and free. I had to put up my own shower curtain and the caulk was mildewed. It was fine. I would stay there again. The guy at check in was covering for someone and a bit lost, but the morning crew was on top of things. They could use a little work on replacing the caulking in the shower and cleaning the coffee pot in the room. Everything else seemed clean enough.

The breakfast was very good. This was a very nice hotel right off the freeway. Easy to get to. Breakfast was very good and the staff was helpful.

Clean room. Internet unavailable. We arrived early and were allowed an early check in. We were given a smoking room when I had requested a nonsmoking. They were great about immediately putting us in a nonsmoking room. I asked about the internet and was told yes the room had internet. When we could not connect we were told once again, that yes the room had internet. We could not connect and gave up. The next morning we attempted to connect on the hotels pc for visitors. Again we could not connect. When my husband went to the front counter we were told the internet had been down all weekend. It was apparent that the staff had known about the internet at the time we inquired but we were not advised of such. The room was nice but for the price I have stayed at better in Newton. The hotel was just ok and next time I think I'll stay in des Moines and drive to Newton to visit family if I have to pay that much for a room w/o internet, one queen bed and dogs barking down the hall.

Was very clean. The name had changed took a little time finding. The hotel was clean and the pool area was nice for the kids.

Clean, new and convenient. Breakfast pastries a little bit stale. It felt like a new building, with a nice pool, pleasant room, and continental breakfast. They accepted a low "Name your own price," and the quality far exceeded our expectations.

The location,amenities and staff at this hotel were all excellent! The breadfast buffet is awesome! At night, the clerk was hard to locate a couple of times This hotel has a great location, right off the interstate, and very close to town. My reletives live in a small town not too far away and it's very convenient. The pool was great and the breakfast buffet was outstanding!

Very helpful staff. No non-smoking rooms available. Clean hotel with friendly staff but lack of non-smoking room made stay a little less enjoyable.
